    HI EVERYONE! So great to hear you are all doing well with using the exercises in this video. I'm glad to hear shoulder pain is decreasing, plus so many of your stronger in your upper body too. Here's a follow up video I've done for you to focus a little more on 'rotator cuff' specific exercises, using the theraband once again. These will help to continue maintaining strength and stability in your shoulder joint, plus give you some variety from video 1.

    So, I have been doing these for about three weeks now. Religiously every single day.
    I have no clue how I found you but, you are fantastic!
    I can now see quite an improvement in my posture!!
    I have many spine issues but, I am not giving in or up. Keep them coming and you are wonderful!!

Keeping a good posture, but also stretching and strengthening the upper back and shoulders are super important to alleviate that upper back pain.     I keep coming back to this. Two years ago I broke my arm right near the shoulder and this video is what got me back to normal after I’d worked my way through the hospital physios routines and needed to progress. I have been able to improve my posture as well 😊

    An excellent tutorial from a trainer who is clearly well qualified and experienced. Very thorough explanations and her demonstrations are precise.... ideal to ensure viewers don't injure themselves and get the full benefit of the workout.

    I am so glad I found this video, I just had foot surgery and these are great to keep me moving and strong I love working out with you every morning... I will be off my foot for 2 weeks and these are really making a difference so far.

    Vanessa, I had shoulder and upper back pain since last 3 years. I went to many ortho doctors and physiotherapist here in India. They gave me too much vitamins tablet and thought many kind of exercises but none of them worked for me. I am really astonished that by just doing these basic exercises I don't feel any pain now. My life was very dull but now I feel very good and energetic. Thank you so much.

    I had shoulder surgery recently and I this exercise has proven to be beneficial in my rehab. As I progress I will increase the band strength. Thank you for the emphasis on posture and breathing. Great workout for anyone.

      Thank you for your comment! Always check with your doctor as to the correct exercises for you 😀 And yes, good idea with increasing the band as you get stronger. To be honest though, for this routine and the shoulder exercises specifically I tend to keep it light to medium even though I've done this for years, just to ensure good technique and control and to isolate the correct deeper muscles.     thanks a lot Vanessa - opted out of your 21 day day programme as wanted to concentrate on theraband exercises - 66 and three quarters years old male in UK and retired - just erected a 7.4 m. scaffold and want to keep good core and arm strength as realise muscle wastage is BIG in the elderly ! Really enjoyed your shoulder workout and will stay with this and work through your other You Tube videos using Therabands - trying to convert wife to do it too so have sent her your link. Bands are such a great thing - minimal space; minimal expense, and can be done anywhere; anytime - fab and thank you for helping with body health... Bill Kerr

    Been dealing with a shoulder injury since before the covid shut down in the US. Have been to several PT appointments and many of the exercises have made my shoulder hurt more. I tried this just to supplement the exercise given by my PT and although I feel the sore area in these workouts my shoulder is not nearly as agitated. THANK YOU

      Hi Amber, thank you so much for letting me know, that is great to hear💪😀 shoulders can be tricky and flare up with pain until you find the right combination of exercises and not overdo them too. Keep the pace slow and feel free to add or decrease an exercise if you need. I believe listening to your body is the key.       If you use a light band with such exersises, you activate the little muscles so the big muscles are not overworked. Immediate rest for the larger muscles.

    Really great! I just bought resistance tubes the other day and was looking for exercises I wouldn't have to lie on the floor for... As I have a weak back and am always on the computer for school, I have had pains for several years. If this work for me you will have saved nother back.

    Although it's been a year since a comment was posted, your video continues to "help". After watching others use of theraband exercises, yours is my very favorite for many reasons:
    The explanation, demonstration views, the mild music ( I think I heard some), the pleasing background, your accent is clear and distinct, your proper apparel, and primarily because the exercises you've selected have brought release of stress and increase of strength to my shoulders. I thank you very much, Vanessa, for offering these to the public at large.

    Great exercises Vanessa. Do you have any advice on recovering from a deltoid injury. I've read it could be due to issues with the pectorals or rhomboids. Thanks :)

      Hi Laynie, thank you and glad you are finding benefit from the exercises 😀 It really depends on what type of deltoid injury, how it happened and the condition and alignment of your other muscles. In this case, I can't advise as I haven't seen you in person but you should definitely see a physiotherapist in your area to get a clear diagnosis and exercises specific to your injury. You are right in it could be pectorals or rhomboid related, but you need to know which one or what other muscles are weak or tight and then do specific exercises to balance that out. Often though, many of us have tight pecs due to computer and slouching, so any chest stretches will be great generally speaking. Look at your body holistically and do some of the other videos for Upper Back Strength and Pilates exercises in the Stretch Playlist and Pilates Playlist. Let me know how you go!     These are great shoulder exercises, I will use these to help strengthen my shoulders for arm balances in my yoga practice. I will also use the in my Pilates classes.

    Exersise / strengthen the small muscles, and the big muscles will not suffer painful fatigue.

Make sure you get your doctor's clearance to exercise, then I would imagine building back quite progressively. You could do say 3 x days a week on this channel doing 1 x band routine, 1 x Pilates which is great for breath and core, then 1 x stretch routine or 'reshape' low impact cardio if you feel ready for that 😎💯 Let me know if you need more guidance on this!

      Thank u so much! This one is good for say 5 x days per week. Depends what other exercises you are doing aswell. You could do it everyday but I do believe in at least 1 x full rest day or doing a different form of movement to keep muscles working in various ways🤗👌

      Daniel Stoltzfus hi there:) you can do this everyday - there is no problem with that as you cant overdo these theraband exercises! its different to weights for example where u need to give the muscles a break, a different type of resistance:) thank u for ur feedback!

      @@Vanessabhealthtv I am an LMT, Yoga Teacher and a pH Coach. I've gone through many deaths in the past few weeks in our family. My husband has been diagnosed with Cancer and I have gotten so out of shape and not taking care of myself. My shoulders are rounding very quickly and I've never had a strong core before! I'm 69 year young and I know I can get this going for me now that I've taken time to grieve and ready to pull my bootstraps up again because I'm a diligent student for what I want to learn in life.     I just got the theraband yesterday and start using this first time with your video. I’ve got tendonitis on my wrist and can’t do exercise that use hands so my therapist gave me the theraband to do. Thanks for sharing.

      This is great for you if you have tendonitis. And yes, avoid weight bearing till your physiotherapist advises it's ok. I would also encourage you to do other videos for your core and legs, just avoid positions on the wrists. There is still lots you can do to strengthen your whole body! Good luck 😀

    Great shoulder work our, thank you Vanessa. I had right shoulder surgery for a tear nearly 2 years ago and have been vigilant with my strengthening but now I have pain in my left shoulder, maybe a strain. This workout is really helping both shoulders. I’ll check out your other workouts too.

    My doctor recommended your shoulder and back strength video to me. It is great. It's not too long which is important to me. Plus, I can definitely feel the muscles that are being worked, which is different than other upper body work and PT I've experienced in the past. Thanks.

    Vanessa, you’re truly an angel. I had moderate osteoarthritis in my left ac joint and have been seeing a number of physios and even ortho surgeon but issue didn’t go anywhere. But following the excercises in your video made the difference within a week. My pain has substantially gone down and my posture has improved. Please could you post videos for neck, knee, elbow, hip, hamstring, foot excercises with theraband? Yes I am suffering from autoimmune disorder and have multiple joint inflammation issues.

    Exciting to see such effective,easy to do theraband exercises. If I travel, I take that theraband with me so in minutes in the morning, i can get in this suite of exercises. Would you also do a theraband video focused on strengthening the lower back, spine, and illiac areas? Some of us drive a lot, and the autos never have seats that support responsible posture.     Not sure if you remember but I wrote a thank you when I first found your channel in the weeks before my first total hip replacement. Well, I am in my 6th week of recovery now and finally adding this and the other band arm and shoulder workouts to my PT. My shoulders, arms, and hands are really stressed from overuse and walker use and it is so good to finally be giving them the attention they deserve by using your videos. Thank you again for sharing these!

    It was so so so good. I tried all of this and i really felt my back and shoulder blades working. I have a slouched posture and I get back pain daily. I think this will help me get rid of it by strengthing my muscles. Thank you so much. You just made my life easy.

      Hi Smiriti 😀 Well done for completing all these exercises and really glad you are feeling the correct muscles working. Posture is something you need to constantly work on and maintain. This is a great thing if you are feeling the work at the back of the shoulder blades with this. Well done on technique execution! you are right - keep working on the upper back and core and it should reduce aches in this area.

    Hi, Great tips! I have been rehabbing a really messed up shoulder since June (open bankart reconstruction) . Ran out of PT in September (2020). Several of the exercises that my PT gave me were in your list. I have been on "my own" with rehab since September. Some of the very exercises that you talked about I am doing, but not with best form . . . . or I dropped al together. So this was a good reminder. Thanks for your time making this video.

I tend to alternate lower body and upper body exercises each day, to give one system a rest, as add-ons to my daily walking and yoga regimes. Leg-strengthening ones, along with arms, chest, and shoulder routines are always welcome. And I prefer the resistance bands to the weights -- unless you feel there's some advantage to the weights over the resistance bands.

      @@TofuMan333 That is a great way to go about it with what you are doing 🙌💯 Many of us here on this channel just use bands (I did for many years without weights). However now I use both. Benefits of weights are you will increase actual strength whereas bands can't give you that same strength increase to the same extent. Depends on your goals and what you like. Keep up what feels good!

      @@normafernandez5217 sure, yes I am familiar with this. Ensure you get a personalized care plan from your local physiotherapist or professional depending on your needs. But yes, if wanting to strengthen traps and the muscles around there, this video is great to do say 3 x times per week, paying close attention to the way you position your shoulders and scapula during each of these movements.
