  • Congratulations to Sue!!!
    This is a beautiful 24 foot Class C diesel Sprinter motorhome from Tiffin. It is a 2019 but i in great shape. I did an inspection on the unit before it was sold and wanted to share my impressions. I might have said too much. I really do like this coach and assume Tiffin has figured out the door issue on newer units now.
    Sorry if it seems like I'm slamming things, it's part of the test and the latches sound much worse on video. Also I have little time to make this video, so if I'm out of breath and shaking too much, I'm just rushing fast before my net job.
    Thanks for watching!

    I used to drive a Sprinter tv truck and loved the over-visor storage as well! Definitely a hidden gem of those things. Ended up liking that thing a whole lot more than I ever thought I would. We had an air horn hidden under the drivers door. A great little easter egg when we bought the thing.I still prefer traditional trucks/super C platforms.

    I think the bag of cushions are boosters for the cab seats. When you swivel them around to the coach area, your knees will be up around your ears without the boosters. We considered the Wayfarer until we lucked out on a Coach House Platinum II XL SRT.

      I think you are likely correct. I took them out and the strap on the back would not have worked on the rear sitting area.

    That shower area is very european. They always want a changing room so they do not need to get naked in front of each other. Thanks for doing a video on this, I appreciate that it takes from your family time. Stay safe and healthy.

    IMHO, Class B RV's are an expensive option when compared to Class C's or Class A's. You've got a Mercedes Sprinter chassis that is limited on carrying capacity along with a high price tag. I would rather invest in a nice Class C unit versus a Class B if I wanted a smaller unit but to each his own. Another great video. Thanks so much for the content, especially the repair videos.

    • @AZExpert
      @AZExpert  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a strong diminishing return for smaller square footage and price with RVs. It sounds strange but the market is smaller and the chassis are more expensive. All the appliances and components a the same price so for a builder the only real price difference is on the cheapest materials like plywood, foam, and wiring. Smaller RVs are also more difficult to build as limited space means few workers can build. I understand your point though. Thank you very much!

    Door on the bottom does open if you pull inside latch.it is a double door. Just pull the wire located just inside the left door.

      Seems like it would have been caught as a bad idea with the first build, so I'm guessing it was a requested feature customers wanted. Just seems akward to me.

    Well, I'm really not a fan of class B's, and this motorhome confirms that I'm still not a fan. Lots of nice features, but not all the best ideas (or compromises). The DEF fluid will crystalize, so you really should rinse off any spills. The location isn't as weird as on my pickup, where it isn't just in the engine compartment, but against the firewall. Even with the little hose that comes in the box of DEF it is difficult to fill, and has more places to spill it. I now have a special funnel for filling it.

    • @AZExpert
      @AZExpert  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I understand. The new owner needs to be able to go to more difficult to access areas and I guess national parks have new limits on lengths too. I've never seen that DEF fill hose work without leaking.

    Thanks James. I was liking this until we got to the bathroom. Waaaaaay too complex. I envision broken doors/hinges after one too many frustrating bathroom/shower encounters

    • @AZExpert
      @AZExpert  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was surprised too. Maybe they had feedback and that's what some customers wanted. An off set hinged bathroom door or sliding bathroom door seems like a better option. I would still just remove the shower door though.

    Tiffin makes some quality stuff. She’s heavy and I don’t really like the low CCC. We looked at them but you would be quick to overload it but wow the quality is top notch.

    That is an interesting one... I just saw another on that has a Murphy bed in it, with a rear bath.. very nice layout.. that one seems they did not think through the bath area.
    Also for your Mercedes Sprinter folks, they may want to do research on their oil change intervals. Had the same engine in an E class and Mercedes changed the oil change interval. If you have one of these Mercedes diesels you may want to read this:
    www.stephensservice.com/bluetec-diesel-issuesproblems/
    It was very informative for me and helped a lot of the issues we were having with our diesel. Plus it could save your engine.
