I lived on a sail boat for 7 years. It’s genius that the interior is marine grade. When I build my rig everything will be marine grade. If it can sustain living on water, sea salt, constant dampness and the pounding of sailing on huge waves . . . it can hold up thru ANYTHING!! Hats off to the builder and congratulations to you. ⛵️ & 🚐

This is the first build that makes me consider buying something from an RV manufacturer instead of making my own. Very smart layout, and the weight saving using composite materials must be dramatic. Every single van build I see full of wood I just think "my god, the weight!"
I want to thank the host of this video for acknowledging to the owner that you realize that this is a "private space" when you thanked her for allowing us to see inside. We all love seeing how other RV'ers live, but I'm not sure every channel realizes how invasive these tours can be for the owners. Really smart conversion!
Wow! The manufacturer thought of everything and thank you Cheri for the thoroughness of your tour. I like to see (and hear) all the details. I liked seeing your sponsored families and loved that you have handcrafts from them decorating your van. Very special. ☺
My parents are 50 years old. They sold their 500 sq foot house in LA for 5 million dollars and are living in a giant RV the size of a semi truck now. It's fancier than my apartment. Crazy what you can buy now days if you have cash.
Thanks for turning on the scuppers and AC unit. It helps to really hear the noise volume. Love that Cheri uses the freezer for storage. And hearing about the water filter was great. Scott, thanks for your hard work on your channel. You deliver quality videos with great guests and information we all can use.
I have a 1999 vintage high top, extended length GMC Savana van. I did a low tech conversion, with no gray water or black water tanks, no water pumps. Happily I use pine pellets in a barrel type porta-potty. To empty it, I just lift out the plastic bag out for disposal into any trash -- no odor, no mess. Works great.

And, after 15 flushes, you remove the garbage bag (ready to go into a dumpster), and you insert a new box of bags. It's very clean, has no smell, and there's no need for water or a holding tank. And, it comes with pee absorbing crystals, that you can use to avoid having to flush every time.

It is better to be vegetarian / vegan for that reason too. poo is better less smelly more easy and its better for the land too.

I would love this! I would also be mainly a solo part time van lifer. I just want something I can take off and see my grown children and granddaughter. And see the country too. I used to drive buses over the road so it is not so daunting to me. The most daunting thing to me is the part about being alone. But I would get used to it. This van is perfect. So practical! It would be perfect for me.

Honestly, the only thing I would change is the faucet (possibly the shower head too but definitely the faucet since I'd like a taller one that has a pull-out function to make it easier to clean the sink and pots) but that's such a minor issue that I can't complain. Got less than half way in and had to stop because the camera was sweeping around too much. Please note that most people filming vans and tiny homes do not sweep the camera around in this manner. They appreciate that there are people who have neurological issues. All you have to do is be someone who get motion sickness or migraines to be disturbed by the camera work. I appreciate the effort and would have loved to see the 2nd half of the video.
This RV,HAS EVERYTHING THE LADY NEEDED,AND SET UP REALLY GREAT,I DO LOVE THE INTERIOR DESIGN& materials, the composting toilet would even work for 2, seems to be insulated, + she has a heating system too+ A/C ENJOY THE ROAD,SAFELY AS YOU GO, THANKS FOR SHOWING,GOD BLESS YOU,;;;🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Thank you Theresa! So many great choices out there - you just have to narrow it down for what is important to you. Love that you are out there traveling.

I am so impressed. I thought I didn’t like that layout, but I’m changing my mind. The advantage of the rear bath is that you can pull the shower head outside if needed. I also think the air vents/fans are a cool concept. Im not sure about the lack of opening windows. I love my awning style windows. I also don’t like the cabinet finish at all. I get the concept but I prefer the warm look of light wood. I would also like an electric outlet outside so that I could use the induction cooktop outside. I’ll have to check it that’s an option. I didn’t see screens. Cheri, if you are interested in a screen for you sliding door opening, Rolef out of Laval, Que, has an amazing product and even better customer service.
Esther thanks for your comments. I do have some magnetic screens that I can use on the back door and the sliding door. May eventually get screens that stay setup in the future. I know Rolef makes some quality screens for sure. I can run a cord from an outlet inside the van to the outside. There is a way to run a cord from inside the van to outside without the doors open. I didn't show it sorry. Thanks for your great input on the other items.
Hi. Im speechless. Wow. How beautiful. Where is the embassy r.v. location near or in texas. Dallas texas. Coleman premier makes a very quiet air conditioner. Motor on top and unit inside for cooling. I dont like wood of anything. Whatever the cabinets and everything is made of. I love it. The lady is fantastic. Wow. And wow. Whata van built. Perfect. Amazing. What is the phone number so i can call for information. I have no computer or experience.
I live in France and travel widely using a Citroen Jumpy which is not converted. In europe there seems to be a 2m height limit everywhere for parking etc so i can just get under but obviously can't stand up. 75yo, 2 small dogs and just off on a trip to most northerly point in Norway via Poland and back home via Scandinavia. Stealth all the time. Love it.

I’m glad someone has shown a Promaster. I drive Transits and Promasters for work and the PM gets it done. I would definitely use the PM over the Transit for an RV.
F&T I do feel I got a great price as using Embassy takes out the middle man and give you the chassis for what they pay the dealer. I was able to afford this one complete with lithium vs the Class B from the bigger companies.
WOW what a great design. I have been seeing people's DIY vans and have just come across these more commercial version videos that also pack a punch. Not sure if you have heard of Humble Road but he is doing custom vans and they just blew me away. More of a Pop & Son situation, but boy are they professional looking and the attention to detail is amazing. Thank you to Cheri for sharing her van with us! It is super slick. 😁
Cherie, your van is superb! Thank you for sharing this informative video of your van and all of its added extras. Absolutely fabulous, classy and comfortable looking rig. 🌟☮🙏🍻🌞✨💚💙
Very stealth for sure. Ambulances have “skuppers” for ventilation. You will see them normally on the drivers side on the back upper corner of the box. Nice van 👍🏼
Ive been researching, looking at every possible van, rv, tear drop ect...for years. Finally i think this is something i would seriously take the time to take it a step further to look into what this conversation van is all about. HOWEVER...you showed us every possible wonderful practical thing this van offers except the bed. Yes we can see where you would sleep but you gave it no time or explanation. We would have loved to see how a cozy bed looked like made up. After all the three most important things to people are the bathroom, cooking area and where we sleep. Sleeping area is so very important to us single gals who read at night and need a cubby hole for our books and snacks at arms reach.
It's actually a "scupper". Its usually used on boat and ships to allow water to escape or enter but in this case it is to allow air in and out of the rv. And with the way they are angled down and back, it's to prevent water from entering while driving.

Thanks, Scott, for the excellent tour of this van. Cheri, thank you for your excellent explanations of numerous specifics, from the easily replaced milk jug to big cost savings on the van. Also for demonstrating noise levels. P.S. Love the readiness to "burst into song." 😉
This is a great build, great layout. I would love to see that fold-out porch area they show on the website, something truly innovative. Thanks for the tour!
Thx for that. Checkout Embassy RV’s TH-cam channel and you can see their video. Have you seen my video about Urban Van Camping video th-cam.com/video/2lh1bNdZHNM/w-d-xo.html
Great build, looks like it would last and withstand road stress. Love the stealthiness! As much as I dislike plastic and metal, these are the best materials for van structures. Most van builders have never considered what will happen to all the wood in a crash. The cabinet latches seem very secure, however I would probably injure myself with the mechanism that protrudes from inside the door. I suppose I'd adapt to the latch/unlatch action - seems awkward? The drawers inside cabinets are also a mixed awkwardness question... This would be a good van to rent for a week or so to see how well it works before implementing these ideas.
Gary - can't wait for you both to get your Embassy - it will be worth the wait. I remember walking in the rain with you at the Tampa RV Supershow so you could tour the vans. Hoping it's not too long now.
I was 50 last month and I already planned how I'm going to spend my retirement life when I reach 65. I will get a camper van similar to that one and just go live on the road by traveling throughout this vast nation. this is life, real good life!
Congrats on achieving 50! Life is REAL GOOD from a Camper Van :). Have you seen my video on Urban Van Camping… th-cam.com/video/DamOaRoTs0Q/w-d-xo.html
Wow! That's a GREAT rig! I'm blown away by how much storage there is and how they rigged the bathroom. Who needs 2 sinks in that small space? This is a stunning, cozy home on wheels. [But, a gut punch.... at $25,000 more than my 2 bdrm house in Madison, IN.]
So happy to see another C-Head fan! We have had ours for 10 years and love it. It doesn't get as much attention as the more commercial brands. But it’s such a smart simple effective design I don't understand why anyone would buy anything else.

@heythave no it doesn't. I keep a small spray bottle of water that I can rinse it with. We only put soiled tp into the bucket. Tp just used to dry after urination goes in a small trash bin. Unfortunately Sandy Graves, the creator and builder of the c-head passed away over a year ago and the company has folded. So unless you can locate a second hand unit, it's no longer an option.

Awesome van! You got the best brand. After owning a Sprinter and having a friend with a Transit I have figured out the Promasters last the longest and are the cheapest to maintain. I hope to get one someday and build it out myself. 😀
I've been watching Van-life videos for 5 years, designing my dream home. This is the first one I've seen with the SR in the hallway (and WR right there) which is how I have been hoping to build. Great to see this idea in the flesh. Thank you! Love the scuffers too!!
nice van, good to see they are using modern materials, hopefully to save weight. one thing to consider? be extra careful storing metallic items ( umbrella, chairs etc) near battery systems. with the 'possibility' of exposed wiring/terminals etc.
I don't have a problem with sponsoring families and other countries but there's a lot of American families here that need help too that have children that go to bed starving every day and every night so that's something to think about. Thank you for being a sponsor regardless
yes these people need help too and it is a travesty that the government of such a rich country as ours does not sufficiently provide for their own unfortunates
@@suziebagur3019People live under the deceitful misconception and fallacy that America is a”rich” country. America is NOT a “rich” country! It is actually the poorest country on Earth, where a lot of wealthy individuals reside who pay few if any taxes. America is the biggest DEBTOR nation on Earth, over $35-40 TRILLION dollars in debt that even our great-great-great grandchildren will never be able to repay. Beautiful van and very functional. You are right. You would never know that it was an RV, but unfortunately on the Wisconsin license plate it is labeled as "Motor Home", and you can't get around that.
Very neat and beautifully furnished van and the great thing is the builders didn't use wood for the cabinets,so often we see van builds with so much wood, not only is it environmentally unfriendly but obviously it adds so much weight and some interiors look quite ugly with all that wood.

Agree with you totally on the quality and no mold and no propane. Easy for me to maintain. Can't wait until we can get our Embassy's together.
Thank you RoL :)
I'm sure this Design will Age very well. I love the Materials used and the simplicity of the layout.
Thanks Dylan
Got less than half way in and had to stop because the camera was sweeping around too much. Please note that most people filming vans and tiny homes do not sweep the camera around in this manner. They appreciate that there are people who have neurological issues. All you have to do is be someone who get motion sickness or migraines to be disturbed by the camera work. I appreciate the effort and would have loved to see the 2nd half of the video.
Thx Madison
Agree, too much camera swinging
Great tour Cheri and Scott. Embassy builds in a lot of quality and innovation.
Jane thank you! Loved your van tour as well. Have been using the door closing technique already and all those mods were awesome!
Thank you Jane :)
I love the swivel front chairs and shades on windows. You can stand inside. 🥰😍

I love the layout .
I don’t need a bed open 24/7 . I can lay down on the sofa benches and lounge.
Interesting how it uses an entirely different system .
I like it a lot :)
Thanks RJ - Yes many nights I use the sofa without extending it. Works great for me.
Thx R J
Cheri is absolutely beautiful and so is her RV! Good luck to her as she travels.
Appreciate that
Great tour! It’s nice to see the Embassy vans, they are such interesting builds so different from everything else out there.
Thank you Theresa! So many great choices out there - you just have to narrow it down for what is important to you. Love that you are out there traveling.
@@cheriduchrow1089 I like the fridge they chose, having the option to use the freezer for food storage or as an additional fridge just adds to good use of space. You have a lot of nice storage too!
Thank you Frisco T :)

I just found you. I'm facing major health needs and atb56 I'm not ready to give up.
My husband and I are trying to figure out how and what to build that we can afford.
I enjoyed you both so much. Wonderful people in your own rights. 🥰

I did van life for about 2years... It's alot to learn and very well worth it, got an apartment but I'm literally going back to the life !
Thank you Esther
@@janchapman3746 Embassy RV is located in Elkhart Indiana
Uh, just slide the door open and you have a BIG window.
Love it.
Excellent tour for demonstration and small talk nicely done

I’m glad someone has shown a Promaster. I drive Transits and Promasters for work and the PM gets it done. I would definitely use the PM over the Transit for an RV.
Good to know. My PM has worked out really well. Check out my video on Urban Van Camping… th-cam.com/video/DamOaRoTs0Q/w-d-xo.html
What a great build for an incredible price. Embassy has come a long way. Thanks Scott. Cheers 😘🥂😘
@@HHB884 if no one buys the price has to come down. I wouldn't pay over $200,000 for any van.
Howdy F&T !!
F&T I do feel I got a great price as using Embassy takes out the middle man and give you the chassis for what they pay the dealer. I was able to afford this one complete with lithium vs the Class B from the bigger companies.
@@cheriduchrow1089 completely agree with you. Fantastic price for a well built van. Best of luck.
How much
WOW what a great design. 😁
Glad you like it Jeanne. Have you seen this video I did on the Italian import Wingamm Oasi 540 th-cam.com/video/0dUe0BymvUk/w-d-xo.html

TY T
Thank you Tania for the kind words!
Finally somebody using plastic in their van. I never understood all the wood in other van builds. Don't they know it's heavy?
Very stealth for sure. Ambulances have “skuppers” for ventilation. You will see them normally on the drivers side on the back upper corner of the box. Nice van 👍🏼
Good to know - I will have to pay attention next time I see an abulance.
Thx T S M ;)
Thank you Gene!
Scuppers are on flat roofs as well for drainage to a downspout.

Thanks, Scott, for the excellent tour of this van.

Mike thanks for watching and commenting - my pleasure!
Hey Cheri & Scott, It was so fun spending time with you in Oshkosh! I love your viral van tour! Thanks again for your hospitality, happy trails~~~
Thanks Earl for your comments
Earl thanks for the comments and insight. So far so good on not injuring myself with the latches - I was concerned but so far nothing to worry about.
What a great video! I saw this van in person and it was one of the reasons I am in line for an Embassy RV!
Great choice Gary :)
Thx
As they say: You can sleep in your car but you can't drive your house. LOL
Of all the factory rv van tours I watched on youtube, this is my favorite. Love love love it. 👍🙂
So happy to see another C-Head fan! We have had ours for 10 years and love it. It doesn't get as much attention as the more commercial brands. But it’s such a smart simple effective design I don't understand why anyone would buy anything else.

Question, does the plastic pee sieve part gets dirty with poop every time?
@heythave no it doesn't. I keep a small spray bottle of water that I can rinse it with. We only put soiled tp into the bucket. Tp just used to dry after urination goes in a small trash bin. Unfortunately Sandy Graves, the creator and builder of the c-head passed away over a year ago and the company has folded. So unless you can locate a second hand unit, it's no longer an option.
@@stacyturner8330 That’s awful. Couldn’t someone buy the company and continue the production since it’s a good product.

I don't have a problem with sponsoring families and other countries but there's a lot of American families here that need help too that have children that go to bed starving every day and every night so that's something to think about. Thank you for being a sponsor regardless
well said
What a SAD FACT, STARVING CHILDREN!
yes these people need help too and it is a travesty that the government of such a rich country as ours does not sufficiently provide for their own unfortunates
Every American is a SLAVE and they are so indoctrinated into the American slave system that they don’t even know or believe that they are slaves owned by their government fiduciary masters even when the evidence and factual proof are put before their own eyes. Welcome to the Maritime STRAWMAN system, also known as “The Human Farm!”
Not true! Get the facts! I work in social services and there are a ton of government programs regarding food etc. No one is starving for lack of programs.

Very neat and beautifully furnished van and the great thing is the builders didn't use wood for the cabinets,so often we see van builds with so much wood, not only is it environmentally unfriendly but obviously it adds so much weight and some interiors look quite ugly with all that wood.
Agree with you on this one. Important for the total weight of the vehicle and not water or mold. Not for everyone but works for me.
