I would enjoy having the recliners as well as the couch. There is no where to prop your legs up when watching a movie. Love this model.. great job, Tiffin !!

I really like this motorhome with the TV up front and the theater seats. My hubby and I never eat at our table, preferring the recliner for me and occasional chair for him. And, the 2nd TV by the sofa? A little weird but why not? Can't have too many TVs especially during football season!

Something I'd like to see you do on these reviews is give an extra 15 to 20 seconds or so, on the usability of the interior (seating, kitchen, bathroom, sleeping) while the slide(s) are still in.

    • @dross24MA
      @dross24MA 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Agreed - access to kitchen and bathroom is necessary when the (stupid) slides are in, for sure!

    Likes:
    1) Memory seats.
    2) Beautiful cabinets with decent storage for the size.
    3) I LOVE the bathroom! Space to actually sit. Nice!
    Dislikes:
    1) That flat mattress. I’d rather skip the extra sofa and have a more comfortable bed.
    2) The over the cab tv is superfluous.
    3) That’s it. I really like everything else.

The 3 things I like about this motorhome:
    1. Side opening baggage doors
    2. The floorplan (optioned with dinette and bunk over the cab
    3. The bathroom
The 3 things I don’t like about this motorhome:
    1. The dark flooring with the white cabinetry
    2. Wet bay station
    3. The shelf under the sink: can’t put a trash can there

I agree with both of you about 90-95% of the time. However, I LOVE the contrast that the floor provides for the motorhome. Light colored flooring tends to show everything, but I believe the tone of the flooring is perfect and I would not change a thing as it relates to the colors and textures that were chosen by Tiffin's design team. Way to Go Tiffin!

  • @sagasandstars
    @sagasandstars 4 ปีที่แล้ว

wow that generator was loud! I agree with Matt, should have had a dinette. I also agree with Andrea, the floors weren't great, but the cabinets were awesome. The bunk over the cab would have been better as well.
I would have preferred some kind of screen between the living and bedroom area. My husband has to work crazy hours while we travel, so it's nice to be able to block the light he would need to run his computer.
We would also be the couple that brought everyone with us, so yep, 5 or 6 people, who may or may not be in the camper with us.

This has been one of my favorites for a while. I saw it on another channel a while back. Love the Murphy bed and the theater seats. But that over cab space....kinda looks like my dad built it is out of left over lumber. It just doesn't fit the luxury of the rest of the RV. Bathroom is fantastic!!!

    Matt -
If the 'seat position switch' has 3 settings -
No. 3 can be set as 'Living Space'" and swinging the seats will be very quick.

We agree with your review and your likes and dislikes. We actually don't mind the entertainment center above the cab. If we owned a Class C, we wouldn't want an extra bunk that would encourage visitors. We would put a "Maximum Occupancy - 2 Persons" sign outside the door!
After spending nearly 2 years vacationing with a bunkhouse travel trailer, we decided 4 adults, 3 children, and a Husky was just a little too much family "togetherness"! Hubby and I were craving our own quiet space without being forced to watch Cars, Planes, and Thomas the Train DVDs every day!
The strain of the recent 4th of July holiday with the usual crowd manifested in our pounding headaches and furrowed brows. After breaking camp, we drove about 10 miles in blessed silence, hubby suddenly announced, "I want to trade this thing in for a 5th wheel that sleeps only 2 people." It was music to my ears! We drove straight to the nearest dealership, and struck a deal for our new "Max Occ 2" 5th wheel!
Son and DIL are purchasing their own RV! We love them and their kiddies, but we needed our own space.

I love the Shower size and toilet placement, Hate the Bowl for a sink in bathroom
I love the roomy cab for driver and passenger, Hate the Black cab interior, too hot in summer.
I would prefer the dinette to the Theatre seating in a smaller RV.
    Great job Matt and Andrea

    Minuses :
#1: No ladder (Don't t care if it is more "upscale" - - Ladders help with maintenance AND cleaning).
#2: Wet bay is a mess.
#3: Do away with the second couch, and just have a tilt-a-view bed.
    Pluses:
#1: Styling is nice (Interior and exterior).
    #2: Bathroom is spacious.
    #3: Tiffin quality.

Hi guy's great video , now not a fan of small class C . But this one I really like it just the right size , my favorite no room for guest . Love the color on the outside . Like you said bad wet bay area but other than that the outside is good . Now the inside love the floor plan , colors are great except the floor should be lighter color . Over the cab should be all storage nice double door instead of the TV , I do like the theater seats we never eat at the table unless we go out to dinner . And that bathroom is great for a small unit it is awesome . Oh the fridge it would be nice if was a compressor or residential one , but it still a great class C .

    @larrygray1557 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I like everything about it, and my top 2...Winnebago vs Tiffin...but will have a couple unique likes
    LIKES:
    1) OCCC (didn't expect that did you) Credit where credit is due. Read on another forum where OCCC was a critical concern of Bob Tiffin and comparing to 2020 and earlier, after getting rid of the heavy wood cabinets, paneled doors and appliances, and other areas to raise from the mid 600's to the upper 900's is great. Probably the big issue is the Bigfoot leveler which is 200 lbs...and roughly the difference between the Tiffin and Winnebago OCCC. Basically, it is what it is.
    2) RW floorplan far superior in a small motorhome vs bed monopolizing space...and you can lay down on the sofa with the slide in vs a fold-up bed. If looking at Ford/Chevy chassis for the greater OCCC, NONE...repeat...NONE come with the Murphy Bed floorplan and have to move up to 28 footers for the dinette/sofa pairing up front. Nor do they come with instant hot water, solar installed, and other features standard on the Mercedes. The others just seem old as upgrades appear cosmetic rather than functional despite Ford, at least, having a new engine...it is the same box in back.
    3) Towing, despite Mercedes recommending 4200 lbs...which is probably realistic with a 5000lb hitch (even Chevy's 5000lb). Planned toad is is either a Chevy Equinox or Ford Escape Hybrid in the 3500lb range as my current car is not 4 down approved. Probably the largest you can go, but certainly not a clamshell like a Fiat. Jeep wranglers and Cherokee clip right in at that 4200 lb marker.
    DISLIKES:
    1) The TV removing the upper bunk. Matt's right...it feels more cramped. Do wish the upper bunk had windows, though
    2) While the theater seating is sexy, would like the dinette. Bet replacing the theater seating with the dinette would bump the OCCC over 1000 too.
    3) Four seatbelts. None of the diesel Class C manufacturers offer 5 (and may be a DIY install for me) and I understand why with the OCCC. But perhaps you don't want to take an extended trip, but just a day outing to the beach or grandma's house, and the 4 seatbelts limit your choices. To put it in perspective, noted on the door plate that my Mini Cooper Countryman (the largest Mini) with 5 seatbelts and rear storage has an occupant capacity of 945 lbs, virtually matching the Tiffin. Now which vehicle would you want to take a daytrip in...but when daughter, SIL and grandson visit from Europe, we all cram into the Mini.

The wet bay they could have done a better job.

If tiffin wants more CCC, they should go to the Ford chassis. All that fancy is heavy (countertops). Weekend warrior / cross country travel coach. Nice storage, too bad you can’t carry anything in it. For the price, I’d rather get a Baystar.

    • @arisdaddy2001
      @arisdaddy2001 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Don’t agree with the Baystar, but the updated E450 is sweet. People want the snob value of Mercedes though. With E450, the OCCC on this would be about 2000 lbs.

    • @rgia100
      @rgia100 3 ปีที่แล้ว

The seats are terrible in the Ford. Cheap and swivel is a two person job. No power or heated seats offered. You spend countless hours driving. That’s just plain stupid not to offer it. The MB is light years better in comfort and drivability. I do prefer the Ford but they have to get their act together.

I saw another Wayfarer with different seating/sleep configuration that seemed to be more comfortable, even offering the equivalent of a king size bed. I guess this is suitable for just two people.

Love love love it! But the cargo carrying capacity doesn’t work for us....and the bed is too short for my husband ...

Good evening, three dislikes are: no roof ladder; wet bay poorly designed (2 basement doors required) and the occc at 900 pounds is not sufficient and fuel tank being reduced from 26 gallons down to 24 gallons. Three likes are: full body paint; solar panel and MB redesigned cab area. MB needs to take a fresh look at the 3500 chassis and maybe offer at 4500 model that could have various lengths and could offer to carry more weight. Deb and Steve.

My suggestion on Tiffin products is to get them to show us the discounted price. I know they consider themselves "Top of the line", however I find this annoying and based on that I would not consider Tiffin instead go with a Newmar New Aire which tells you what the discounted price is without jumping through hoops. Just saying

Having them display the MSRP is not that big a deal.
I pause the video, go pull up the home site or local dealer site, and look at the listed price. Bing-bang-boom!

❤️ For the most part I like the layout.
    ❤️ The bathroom is fantastic!
    ❤️ Cockpit and cupholders!
🙃 Don’t like the entertainment center
🙃 Kitchen needs a back splash next to
    Sink.
🙃 Bed is too short for my husband 6 ft.
    Tall
🙃 Needs a small residential frig.
🙃 needs an over the cab bunk🤷‍♀️

Doing both ends of the Tiffin line from XL to S.!
The under the living area outside storage is excellent. I love the sturdy doors.
Beautiful RV! The white cabinets make the RV look clean and bright. I also like the cooktop is near the door.

Love this rig, wish it was more affordable. Like how light and bright it is. The little rigs are so small , light interior makes it feel bigger.

Hi Matt and Andrea just found your channel and subscribed we watched videos so far my partner and I love your video's and your excitement! We watched the video where you spoke about reaching 100, 000 subs and how hard it was to reach that we understand and it motivates us to keep going and following our dream. If we ever reach that we will be popping by for our mercedez from you Matt the best price in America! We love the mercedez it looks so beautiful and efficient use of space. Life is short go and be happy! Keep up the fabulous work of sharing your passion and joy!

I'm with you Matt. I would've preferred the bunk over cab instead of tv. Don't care for the 2 living rooms. Other than that it's ok. Not for us but still nice!

HA,MATT/ANDREA! For the class C customer (as long as there’s only two traveling) this could work out great.. You can probably fit in just about any camp site!
LIKES : Well laid out interior for a couple!👍
What a great bathroom for such a small RV!👍
Aluminum SUPER, SIDE SWINGING, SLAM/LATCH, STORAGE DOORS!!👍👍👍👍
DISLIKE: Cargo carrying capacity 910lbs (2 people are going to weigh 250 to 350lbs) doesn’t leave much for TOOTHPICKS ,TOOTHPASTE and TOILET PAPER :):)
    No roof ladder!
We would have to have a larger fridge!
    Thanks, RICK

After thinking 🤔 about this for awhile,I could see us in this rig. BUT, ONLY with the new Ford Godzilla V8 and a bed for one or two of our grandkids when they go with us!! I’m pretty sure the CCC would be much better/higher than the Mercedes (so you can shove extra canned beans and popsicles) onboard!! Those grandkids love themselves some beans and popsicles!!:):)

Always love the Tiffin B +. Not a fan of this floor plan though. Would have liked one with your suggestions. Wish Tiffin would look into a Ford option as well. Would hate to break down in the Mercedes and then be stuck looking for a shop and waiting on parts. Thanks, as always for the class b reviews!!!

Like that the overhead doesn't go over the window! Love the recliners, like that there's no bunk over cabin, plus easy access to driver seat from inside. There should be a better placed TV by the recliners! We would want piped in music in the bathroom. Good internal storage. Not sure about the Murphy bed, particularly if its likely to "many' breakdowns it got stuck! Like the shower rest of bath, though not sure of toilet positioning. That generator outside too noisy. I'm ok with no dinette.

Love that you're reviewing more small rigs. 🎉
Personally I'd never consider a Tiffin due to the unbelievably low OCCC. by the time you fill a couple of tanks and add some occupants you're over capacity. 🤷‍♂️
Likes: light color scheme/cabinets, super functional kitchen, couch/Murphy bed combo. Dislikes: theater seating instead of dinette seems stupid when there's already a couch, and did I mention that paltry OCCC?

I'm shopping for a new RV and I really like your reviews, especially that you tell us the both the highlights and negatives. I lost interest in this unit as soon as you read the laughable carrying capacity. I could possibly carry two people, water and a tooth brush. Adding tongue weight to the load would put me over weight if I towed anything. It has theater seating that faces the stove and not the tiny 32" TV, why and why? Also, I'm 6' and the bed was short for a 5'4" person (thanks for telling us your heights for comparison). This unit is a train wreck, I know now to steer away from Tiffin. Thanks for the thorough review, keep up the great work!

Love the interior! The design is beautiful! Don’t like that there is no bunk over the cab. Love the spacious cab and bathroom. ❤️❤️
