I certainly feel RDLS the next day, but I too hardly feel my muscles working during the movement.
SAME OMG like it feels like im not working any muscles.
I feel the stretch when i do RDLS. But i feel the burn the day after lol.
I actually feel RDLs more than Hip Thrust but I think I need to see if I’m doing my Hip Thrust correctly! Thank you for sharing 🙏🏾💕

I’ve been doing that smith frog pump and omg it’s gotta be the best as far as “feeling”. There is zero way you can’t. It hurts🔥
I had done a search trying to find if the leg press was a stretch or squeeze but couldn't find the answer so thanks for clarifying and explaining it. I thought it was a squeeze but it now makes sense why my glutes are incredibly sore the day after doing Rdl's and split squats if I also do the leg press.
Do a warm-up first with bands and you'll definitely feel RDLs in your glutes. If you still don't, then your form is wrong.

Omg, the smith machine movement looks so awkward. If I tried doing that at my gym, the gym instructor would probably come running over so fast shouting stop!! 🙈

I feel rdls more, I feel it just comes with practice and an slightly more weight than you think you can lift but I usually feel them more than hip thrusts. That’s just me tho 🤷🏻♀️
It’s the opposite for me!? I don’t feel the thrusts unless I do pulses.

I'd say so. I can't use as much weight with the machine. But it's got too alot isolate with good form

I feel RDLs in my glutes but not the Hip thrust.!!
It could be because you're bouncing the weight and going too fast. If you go slow and pause at the top while squeezing your glutes, you should definitely feel it. If you still don't, then your form is wrong.
Dumb question....Why are we not supposed to squeeze our glutes during stretchy excerices?😅 it feels like my butt will automatically do some sort of squeeze during those. Especially RDLs and leg press

I feel mooooore my glutes with RDL than with hipthrust. I feel just my quadriceps with hipthrust :(
I’ve learned if your feet are closer to your body it’s the quads, if your feet are further out it will be hamstrings. Gotta find the sweet spot in between. Hope this helps
