I always appreciate people that come to a new country and learn a whole new language. I'm Irish and we speak hiberno english here and our accents are very thick and we speak really fast. And kids have to learn english and Irish plus their native language when they come here. I love that you're embracing your authentic accent ❤

Ive been bilingual my whole life and I love being an American and I love being a latina but sometimes it's tough moving between cultures and language and accents are so fluid depending on how much time you use a language who you're surrounded by. I find my personality shifts depending on the language I speak. Both my Spanish and English accent have changed so much over my lifetime. I think it sometimes takes someone who has gone through it to understand it. I think you sound beautiful and I'm really impressed with your bravery.
I'm gonna form a hypothesis based on some assumptions: If most of your commenters are average Americans (we're multiplying, unfortunately🤪), then they probably have very little awareness of how bilingual brains work, and they think that accents are concrete and not fluid, and are making some ridiculous judgements that you are somehow not authentic because your accent doesn't fit into their more narrow understanding of how humans sound. The US, as a whole, is slow on the multilingual awareness, unfortunately. Your accent draws me in! And makes me wanna work out more 😊
Thissss 💯 if you travel you understand you can pick up an accent and they are fluid not static. I lived in RI for a year and my brother accused me of developing a rhode island accent (certain words only) but it happens when you live in a place for some time. Accents don't bother me at all, I barely notice them.

I was definitely confused at first because I just found your channel and it seemed like you were slipping in and out of an Italian accent and British accent at times and I wasn’t sure if it was intentional or not but it makes total sense now and I used to do it A LOT after I lived in Japan. I would say English words with a Japanese accent when I moved back home and just fluidly mix the different sounds in every day speech. I think it’s a natural part of being bilingual and moving between different cultures - you learn to adapt and it becomes second nature to switch on and off at random. No need for the hate from others! ❤❤

As someone who isn't a native English speaker, I understand you. Despite having less of an accent when I speak English compared to many other people of my nationality, I still don't sound authentically English, and attempting to do so takes a lot of strain for me. So I just speak English as it feels natural. Italian and English are two vastly different accents. I can also understand why people are surprised for the sudden shift in your accent, which is perfectly fine, but what is not okay is being nasty about it. It's the same thing with dialects; even if you move across the country where people speak in a completely different dialect to yours, you will still have traces of your native dialect.

Everyone's accent changes a bit when they move to a new country. When I moved to the UK my speech changed significantly, when I moved back home, it shifted back. I'm not sure what everyone is so concerned about. Maybe they've never moved to a new country and can't imagine a life experience outside of their own narrow worldview. All that matters is you're becoming more comfortable in yourself!
I'm English and I've lived in Stoke on tent, Stafford, Hereford, Wolverhampton, stone, Rhyl, Chester, Liverpool, Newcastle... My accent is a mess. My normal accent is stokie 😂😂😂 I sound horrendous.

I moved to the UK in my 30s…tbh never in my life has anybody made me feel uncomfortable because of my accent. Having said that, you have done a very good job at softening your accent, good on you. And that’s why you get hate, people are jealous of somebody who’s good at something…especially when they have some misplaced nationalistic pride and then they feel deprived of something valuable if somebody who hasn’t grown up here is able to closely reproduce their accents..that leaves some people with the uncomfortable question “then what’s so special about me?”. Never justify yourself, never let people bring you down when you are trying to better yourself

Before of course your videos were great but after all especially while after you shared information about your breakup and how difficult that was for you, your videos became much more authentic which is the most beautiful thing. Never forget who you are and where you came from. Internet is this weird thing that if you want to do something there will always be people who “know better” what you should do and how you should be doing it. You are amazing, beautiful, kind, professional and you are AUTHENTIC just like a good friend. Many people who said something about you are not even close to your level and would never be.
