I was driving up to Cameron Highland from Simpang pulai exit with porsche macan 3.0 diesel last week, with quite a rush driving with speed up to 110kmh uphill. And I was impressed the X70 could catch up behind me even when I throttle it almost full to pass other cars. Not bad
i actually prefer this simple 17 inch silver rim design over the ones you get on the executive ones. but i think led headllights are worth spending that extra cash on

ACC is something that is very helpful for long highway journey in malaysia. Been using it for my trip every single time when i was back there . Not as good as on my m550d here but it’s good enough to ease the journey especially with lane hoggers

I agree that cruise control is nice to have but not really needed, but I sometime find it useful during long drive trip to relax my legs. My leg tend to hurt when I'm driving for a few hours nonstop.

Review the all wheels drive pls, The autonomous system most still do not trust it though it works, maybe it will take some time, if it come with paddle shift will be nice 😁

Geely car ok but proton service centre better think twice. Test drive a 2 years old unit. My persona starte breaking down on 1st week of delivery. After 60km a lot of things still not sorted out but new craps starting to show up. Time to dispose off and buy perodua.
In many countries, you can actually decide what you want in a car, pay the deposit, and they then make it for you. This includes options on wheels, seat covers, and other accessories. However, for CKD, it is a little difficult, but I am sure they can do wheels if they want to. Don't worry, the day will come, when one car maker decides to do it, then all the rest will follow. Let's see which one does that first.
I have some footage, but on normal tarmac, the 2wd is good enough. The grip is not that different in the dry but I suppose it would be better off road or in the wet.
A 2.0 litres sedan fuel consumption oso at this range. Given this is a SUV segment, I think its reasonable. Want something more fuel economy, should look at other brands or lower segment.
Sometimes it's not the car but our driving habit...it will get better over time when the driver had enough of power testing...just my personal view on this issue

My only comment is for those who have so much to say, they should go and show everybody how good they are by doing their own videos. I started this channel at the age of 67+. This means learning how to shoot video, edit video, add sound if necessary, and publish. Many people younger than this cannot even use a GoPro let alone produce a video. With 2 hands firmly on the steering, you are still in control even there is a lot of g force or a bumpy corner when you turn at 150km/hr.

ACC is something that is very helpful for long highway journey in malaysia. Been using it for my trip every single time when i was back there . Not as good as on my m550d here but it’s good enough to ease the journey especially with lane hoggers

Standard X70 is actually not bad at all.. like you said la uncle khong..if you can afford to pay for RM123K, by all means go for it.
Sifu Khong, since the engine is the same throughout, do you feel the basic range has better pick up power since it has less accessories n less weight.

I am drving x70 for 3 weeks. The fuel consumption is terrible with almost 10 L per 100km.

Had the same question.. Sound proofing is top of my list. Which is why audi and volkswagen for me
