- Adrian is back with another Proton X70 review! This time he flew all the way to Langkawi to test the entry-level variant of the Proton X70. Priced slightly below RM100,000, the X70 Standard 2WD is the cheapest X70 variant out there to buy. So now, what does it NOT come with? Is it worth considering? I agree. Small they may be, I greatly prefer this 17inch wheels design than of the 18s or the 19s. If I'm getting the X70, what I'd do is perhaps, get the premium model, but swap or trade the wheels with some buyers of the standard model.

Then your tyre will not have the tyre pressure tech anymore. U basically give out the tech away and you already paid for it.
Proton aren’t in the UK anymore and haven’t been for many years. I saw two Jumbuks the other day within a few minutes of each other. They were dull cars but some a still going strong so can’t be too bad.

You don't need the sunroof or leather seats in Malaysia. Why? It's freaking hot, leather seats are safety hazard for burn and sunroof don't help to cool things down much. The voice command also not a good option. Just use your smartphone's voice assist.
Proton should bring the car in india with a good service, it will be a good hit.

This SUV is worth a price. Well built quality and smooth suspension than CRV. But I am afraid hows X70 aftersale looks like, because the famous SC proton has bad reputation. I am really interest to see more X70 owners review and vlogs in future
USS Enterprise you sir, have speak my mind. Exactly my thoughts. The aftersales & durability of the X70 will be the key success or failure of the proton revival. I have high hopes & expectations from them.
which is why proton put so much effort into upgrading their SC's and also to cut off the underperforming ones way before the X70 was launched. but of course.. only time will tell if the effort has paid off.

Here at sabah, as for now December 2020, this x70 ckd otr only rm97k. and after tax holiday package for about rm5k, this standard varian fall to only rm92k that's a same price with mitsubishi expander. what a bargain. so I'm really considering this x70 standard. I'm still cannot believe this x70 standard, you can get maybe below rm90k if you at semenanjung. really cheap for all its features.

Heyy can i know how to set speed limit? Because everytime i speed more than 120km/h, it starts to sound "ting ting" saying i have overspeed

4:48 same here. The wheels on the executive and premium spec look too overly designed for their own good. I don't like the colour combo of having so much of grey and very minimal amount of chrome.

This spec will be more confusing once X50 top spec comes. Hopefully Proton knows how play this out.
And i still think the mid-spec X70 is the way to go since it has no AWD

@@muhamadrosly4058 x50 will be targeted to small families and youngsters. Probably starting from 60++k all the way towards 80/90k

I knew it. I knew the standard was just as good as the premium. If you could live without those things the premium adds. Which are gimmicky and superfluous i think.

I saw crazy fuel consumption from the owner... 7.1 l/100 km. Like a sedan...
Haha that's highway use, actual is around 10-13L/100km, heavy footers get 15L
My VW Tiguan can 6.9l/100km city driving
@@aimansyafiq8966 this car weights almost 200kg more, it's also more powerful. The price of this car also almost 20++k cheaper than tiguan if you opt for the premium variant, and it's bigger too, even comes with all the bells and whistles. Probably gearbox also less prone to fail :P

hakim burahan All models come with voice command that can be used for windows operation. Only the Premium comes with sunroof, so the command for sunroof operation limited to Premium only.
@@celineong5400 I think only the premium version can use the voice command to control the windows. Others just the navigation or air-con.
