Acceleration (0-100 km/h): 4.5 s. Power: 275 kW, 374 hp, 500 Nm. Top speed (limited): 250 km/h.
The values of fuel consumptions, CO2 emissions and energy consumptions shown were determined according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version applicable at the time of type approval. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers optional equipment and the different size of wheels and tires available on the selected model. The values of the vehicles are already based on the new WLTP regulation and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to ensure the comparison between the vehicles. [With respect to these vehicles, for vehicle related taxes or other duties based (at least inter alia) on CO2-emissions the CO2 values may differ to the values stated here.] The CO2 efficiency specifications are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the European Regulation in its current version applicable. The values shown are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the NEDC cycle for the classification. no if u change the grill smaller it looks too similar to an 8 series believe it or not it's not just the grill that spoils the front end (tho mostly)
@@georgedowns4034 it's the shape of the grille and how badly it is inregrated with the shape of the lights + the intakes around are ugly. Basically the whole front bumper needs to go. If an aftermarket bumper makes it look like a mini 8 series im not going to be mad.

I mean, if they opted for atleast the 3 series grille, with the same lights which I like as well, they could’ve been so much nicer, and more agressive, also, making it easier for the designers to make the M4 if it’s going to take insipirstion from the M8, which looks amazing with its smaller grilles and aggressive styling. Sadly I heard the M3 will get this treatment which is just sad too, because the M340i looks amazing at this state.

I love how everyone despises the grill. I remember seeing this for the first time thinking how horrible it was and I'm glad I'm not the only one. Way to ruin an otherwise nice car. If you start putting this grill on all your models you can consider yourself out of business pretty soon.

@@MichaelWoloszynowicz designers nowadays purposely make polarizing design choices that they know will have mixed opinions initially. the question is, will people hate it with the same passion in a year or two? probably not. in 2 years it will be seen as a trademark or something that adds flair/character. its a mental game they play. it works almost every time.

@@olivier3164 I'm actually in a market for relatively small, relatively fun to drive, but luxury turbo coupe (not some floaty GT cruiser though). And the new 4-series... Started looking for a used F32. I've been processing this new look for some time already. Still in denial.

Buying a BMW coupe was sort of a dream of mine, I mean a NEW one. Now I have a means to do it and I am utterly disappointed in how the current one looks.
I want a new one because I want to be the one to break it in properly, to service it from day 0 under my responsibility and my standards (I drive really hard and do ~2000-5000km oil changes, for example), I want to rust-proof and put polyurethane protective film on it from
day 0, and so on and so fourth.
I used to own one of the old, legendary ones years ago.
E46 with M54 B30, what a car, but it needed so much sorting out that it cost me almost same as its buying price, and it was a well-maintained car with 0 accidents, but I live in harsh conditions, had to address a lot of issues with rust and overall structural integrity of its body, and also tear down the engine, change all seals, gaskets, new hydraulic valve lifters, both new VANOSes, new oil pump, new piston rings and crankshaft inserts, thank God engine block was completely fine and didn't need any machine work done, new chains, pump, thermostat, redo almost all of the suspension and so on (I don't even mention all the mods, like coilovers, braces, e.t.c. and interior work, mostly detailing). I did all of this since I figured I can't drive a car even if something little is wrong with it.
But I don't want to go through it all again, even though service work prices are relatively low where I live. I want a new one. And it has those gosh darn nostrils.

I love BMW older models I cant stand that big grill I love bmw brand since I was a kid but this is messed why have a huge ass grill takes the attractives from it
People love BMW not for how it looks, but for how it drives. The recent M power cars are so much faster than its rivals. They are just too strong. If I want some really elegant and beautiful performance cars I will always go AMG instead.
At first people say the 2020 Shelby GT500 is the Ugliest one ever because the huge front face but they all love it later because it's so fast.

I am sure it is a great car, I have always liked BMW. In the case of this presentation, there is just way too much distraction; the soundtrack selection (noise), shaking B-roll, and out of focus shots. I understand you are trying to bring energy into this video but it is just over the top, let the car speak for itself.

Luna EB The 7 is a much larger car. It’s more in proportion with the rest of the vehicle. Not so here. Can you imagine the looks of giant side mirrors on large pickups on a mid size sedan? It would look ridiculous. BMW needs to shrink this grill ASAP.

I hated the grill when I looked at it first, but now it kinda grew on me and think it's pretty cool. Sure, the classic robust BMW kidney grills still kick ass but I think this grill has its place in the BMW models. Cool model!

Good to see the roof line has the right design, and no any 'surprise' at the tail. If the right design of roof line and tail can be applied to other coupe models like X4, X6 or even the GT, that would be great.

Love this new car in the blue, at the beginning of the video. The rear-quarter views are gorgeous, and that side profile is great as well. I didn't notice the slight 'shark' nose until the presenter pointed it out. Makes the car just that much better. Now the grille... it's grown on me. At first I thought it was a bit excessive, but over time it's become unique and *new*. BMW has needed to emphasize growth in their design, subjectively speaking the last couple generations have all been rather same-looking. This is new, wild, and different. Bravo, BMW.

Am Anfang war ich von diesem Immensen Grill "geflasht" inzwischen habe ich mich daran gewöhnt. Habe ihn mir auch in der BMW Welt angesehen und in echt auf der Straße gesehn; das hat mich umgehauen, wirklich schön. :) bin gespannt auf den release vom M4 am 23. 09.

Tragic. BMW have hideously put M on everything! There’s nothing motorsport about the entire car. The grill is equally hideous.

@@georgedowns4034 because typically M on a BMW meant to differentiate the non M version of the same model. The M model meant the version was significantly more sportier as it would have probably have a different engine, different transmission, different suspension, and, or, any combination of those or other significant improvements. Its like, the 'M' version was the track ready version of the model, and the 'non M' version was still a very sporty car, yet not comparable to the 'M' version, which would probably have cost twice as much. To get an M version of the BMW was deserving of significant respect. Lately over the years, BMW have been turning the once highly respected M badging into just a 'sportier looks' package. Anyone can just get the M sports package and BMW will dress up the car in some decals, some badging, just M written anywhere and everywhere, and call it an 'M' car. This is unacceptable to people who have historically respected what 'M' stood for in BMWs

I understand what you’re saying. But I think you’re wrong about this car. You should test drive the M340i before you make the assumption that it just has “M” stickers on it. It truly is unlike any “non pure M” before it. Maybe not as raw as a true M, but damn close! It’s a kick ass performance sedan that packs more performance than even some M cars from the past. It will accelerate faster than most M cars from the past and go neck & neck with out going M3/M4 & M2.

I don't know why but I loved the grill
Everything about the interior of this new 4 series is absolutely stunning, and every part of the exterior is beautifully redesigned.........except for that grill. Really looking forward to see the sales figure in different parts of the world and see which market likes this the most, or everyone just hates it and they are forced to redesign it.
I love this car apart from the grille. The rest of the car has beautiful proportions. I love my current 4 series and I always do a 'look back' after I park and lock it to admire it. I couldn't bring myself to do it with this car. The grilles seem to be getting back to normal on the new 5 series. Maybe the facelift or mid life refresh will fix things.

I would generally agree that they should progress their design language, but the front end of this car seems really lazy. They photocopied the three series and just gave it a terrible nose job. It just doesn’t fit at all.
I didn't like the front of this car when I first saw it but it grew on me and I really like it.

I love those piano-black inserts in front bumper. Promotinal car that probably was driven few kilometers down the road and it already looks like it was cleaned with sandpaper for the past 20 years. Great idea BMW, piano black was getting scratches like crazy on the inside, so lets put it on the outside as well, front bumper would be the perfect place to do so, customers will love it! ;-)
