absolutely love how in depth the chef went into explaining the history and deliberation behind each of the dishes, why he prepared them in certain ways to match the historical context of Korea and its food over time. Honestly one of the best episodes imo
I like to explain a little abit about hospitals having confusing reports about why meat is good or bad for you. Imagine the plumbing in your car, showers. Over time it get's gunked.Your blood vessels are the plumbing to your body parts, organs etc. If we put undue fat or fat that is not ours into our bloodstream and clog it up, what do you all think will happen to the heart? If a pump keeps pumping but the pressure gets higher and higher, surprise surprise high blood pressure because of constrictions. What will happen? What sort of attack? It's no joking matter. Look at India's hospital history before and after Western Hollywood influence including meat eating. They were once natural eaters, meaning Grains, Fruits seeds. The taste of meat comes from vegetables and seasoning. India never had such cases as now like cancer, high blood pressure, heart attacks just to name the few of many diseases meat eating will cause human beings. They had none of those before the influence of Hollywood, resulting quite evidently in Bollywood.
Hey watcher team, really like how you guys took feedback from the first few episodes and included more interview styled audio of the chefs talking and a more in depth look on the food instead of a surface level analysis. Great episode!
Agreed! Last time I went to KBBQ my winter coat smelled like beef for a week (I will admit I smelled it on purpose multiple times because it smelled yummy)
This was one of my favourite episodes of the season! One of my fave parts is when Adam subs in for Steven for what ends up being a very short period of time bc he was nervous about handing over the camera to him 😂 Honestly, the history that we got from this ep combined with the really incredible presentation of food (and seeing how different parts of the pig are cooked) was fascinating. I really enjoyed this season and I hope there are many more!!!
The part where Steven and Adam switched places was so funny and the three of them eating together towards the end was just so precious! I’ll miss this trio! I wish you guys continue doing shows together pls!! I must admit I wasn’t that much of a fan of most of the fancy stuff this season coz it just seems so formal but I really enjoyed the course meal from this episode! I really like how the chef had stories for each meal which makes it really interesting! Rooting for you guys! Please listen to fans’ constructive criticisms and continue to be learn from it. Excited for what’s more to come from you guys ❤️😊
Long time lurker. Glad to see the form coming back to roots. $1k gold flake dishes aren't real to me. $250 dinner date on vacation is attainable and feels like back in the day videos running around LA. Welcome home crew, love the new craft.
Best episode of the season for me, mostly because we got more screentime for both Andrew and Steven. Hearing them really talk about the food in the moment is the best, voiceovers cant compare.
Agree! Best part of Worth It for me was how both Steven and Andrew talk about the food extensively in the actual moment they eat it, and I’m glad they did it more this episode. Looking forward to next season!
That last meal was worth every penny with how many dishes they serve and the chef's explanations. Definitely my favourite ep for this season. The side quests are super fun too!
Been watching Worth it since 2017. Seeing how the production has changed, you guys go to different countries now to try out the best types of food in different price points is just so amazing to me. Worth it may have ended but seeing you guys together again and eating your way out in SoKor made me happy again.
Excellent episode!!! I loved this so much. As someone who has been through the whole worth it ride, it is always so heart warming to see this trio have a good time and explore places together
That last meal was under $300? Aint no way! This was a great episode, from the cheaper option with amazing off cuts, to the stamp making, to this phenomenal dinner experience. This was great.
This episode was amazing! The care that both chefs put into their craft and the history behind each method of preparation were so interesting to watch. Loved the little stamp detour as well.
The way that chef explained every dish, its history, the logic behind the cooling techniques, is absolutely amazing. Speakeasy is exactly the right concept to describe this. Or if you've watched the anime Bartender, it's similar. Fabulous
So cool that both you and Korean Englishman featured Born and Bred! Such an amazing experience. On a must try list when I make it to Korea ❤️. Another great episode in this series.
I loooove seeing Adam talk and interact more on this video!! I loved seeing all three eat together at the end as well!! Three musketeers all the way lol!
Very sad that the first season is already over 😢 Hopefully, this is just a beginning of a long running thriving show! looking forward to many more seasons! Thank you Steven, Andrew and Adam! ❤
I love Travel Season! The combination of the humor and fun that this team brings with the respect and care for history, culture, and of course the art of crafting great food! It’s one of my favorite things to watch!
I just have to say-what an incredible first season of Travel Season! While the format is a little different from Worth It, which many of us are familiar with, it still delivers the same comforting and fun vibes we all love. The way this series continues to highlight the food and the stories behind it is just fantastic. Huge appreciation to the entire Watcher team for their hard work in bringing this series to life. Every episode feels so thoughtfully crafted and well-executed. Really excited for the next season! Kudos to Steven, Andrew, Adam, Annie and the whole team! 🎉
I can't get enough of Travel Season! Totally encapsulates the feeling of an adventure with the best of friends, not despite the location but along *with* it. Beautiful 💛
So good! THIS was the episode I was really looking forward to. Really reminded me of the classic Worth It format that I’ve fallen in love with! Also love how you brought back in-depth conversations with the chefs. Thank you! Best episode for sure
This the best episode so far, very Worth It-like. I love how very observant Andrew is of Steven's personality/preferences, shows how good friends they are. ❤
While I found the high-end restaurant interesting, I’d choose the neighborhood restaurant every time. The social aspect of Korean barbeque makes the food taste better which I just don’t feel in the last restaurant.
I can't wait to see where you guys go next season! My hopes are with Thailand but ill be happy seeing this style and format dedicated to any culture's food
I haven't watched in a while, but I'm back and have been binging a lot that I missed. It's great! I think the watcher team makes some of the best food content out there
@@watcher Sure buddy, I'm just holding out for ghost files and the other decent shows (weird and wonderful world, mystery files, puppet history, top 5 beatdown, and too many spirits)
@@goddessoflesbians1153 good news buddy! weird and/or wonderful world is coming up next, followed by too many spirits and ghost files! and we're currently shooting puppet history, top 5 and soon, mystery files!
Love this vid! So many details and explanations behind the cooking and dishes. The opening shot of the rice cooking in the first spot had me drooling and The Born and Bred spot looked absolutely decadent🔥
Thanks for sharing the episode and for the subtitles. I watch the videos with the English subtitles and they're incredible helpful, because English is not my mother tongue and I don't want to miss information.
Hoping they drop the scripted audio to intro the places. The candid nature of Steven and Andrew banter, even when they are on their way to places, makes it so much more approachable. The flow is so funky when you know that's not how they would describe a place they are going to after years of watching them together. Sounds like they are reading off an AI script
Love the fact you guys listen to your fans. The one on one with the chef, explanation of the cooking process, & camera angles were on point. The big YT support will come in time! My favorite episode of watcher so far!
Here's what I love about Travel Season just as much as I love their previous projects: They kept most of their previous elements intact There's a variety of things and you guys now expand one area into many more branches much better There's nothing extreme about you guys, you are calm, mellow, always very natural, and very pleasant, like a lullaby at the end of a hard day And of course, you guys are still together and I love it. A part of my adulthood has basically been you guys. You are awesome.
Watcher, now seriously, thank you so much for this show from the bottom of my heart! I am going back to Korea in a few months and I added so many new places to eat in, so it came just at the right time. If there's a season 2, I'm planning a Japan trip next year 👀
Idk if watcher would see this, but where can I find the rest of the intro music? Is it even a full song? LOL been hooked for weeks finding it. Great episode as always!

was a highlight of the trip, to be sure!

This was a fascinating episode, but the most amazing part, to me, was the bag they got for their coats at the first restaurant. So smart.

I was about to comment that! It's so cool how the two worlds collide. And its the same chef that appeared in korean englishman!
The evolution of worth it has been so interesting. This video is soooo Anthony Bourdain inspired in the content structure and cinematography❤

I used to watch these guys as a teen and I always adored them but this makes me think of how long they’ve come along, just fantastic
loved this episode!!! really informative video
16:43 I have a feeling telling the chefs the dish tastes like a red Pez is not the compliment you think it is, Andrew.
While I found the high-end restaurant interesting, I’d choose the neighborhood restaurant every time. The social aspect of Korean barbeque makes the food taste better which I just don’t feel in the last restaurant.
One of my favourite Watcher theme songs
What camera are you using?
I have missed everyone! Feels so nostalgic, like as if I haven’t had dinner with friends in so long.

Its nice to see that they give the chefs screen time again, goodstuff
