it feels like the spiritual successor to worth it, and instead of the premise of worth it, it's like you took all the bonus in between moments from worth it, and turned it into a show!
@@harvestmoon_autumnsky maybe cuz they are currently staying at UK (maybe) and Josh cannot separate from pregnant gabbie though. But hey, who knows we can see collabs in the future
@@massemy2275 They have collaborated in the past. When Jolly was in LA, they actually did a collab on this channel eating increasingly spicy fried chicken sandwiches as well as at least one Jolly video where members of Watcher appeared. It would have been perfect if the two of them were able to participate in this as a spiritual successor to that video but they probably couldn't for the reasons you mentioned.
I believe the final Donkas dish was also featured in Koreanenglishman when Josh and Dan challenged the giant Donkas and Joel took on the spicy 1! Such good times 😂
for some reason I find such a delight in watching Steven overestimate his spice tolerance, he’s always so quick to be like that was a mistake, and doesn’t take himself too seriously. Love the show!
Love that it wasn’t only eating at restaurants. Seeing the sites, taking a cooking class and even eating homemade treats was a well rounded trip! Looking forward to more Travel Season episodes 🙌🏾
NOT STEVEN GOING "I AM NOT MY FEAR .... I GET WHY RYAN DOES THIS NOW" 😭 i admit episode 1 was a bit hard for me to get into but as a spice enjoyer this one was a lot more interesting to me. the owner at the end chuckling in the back while steven suffered was really something. he was real about how he wants to torture customers.
love the coloring, pacing, and documentary style aspect to the show. definitely see why people use to buzzfeed-style viral content might not enjoy it as much, but for me it reminds me of old-school style longform travel youtube videos that have disappeared from the platform. i hope the creators aren't disappointed in the lower view count right now. they definitely took a risk in departing from the usual formula but i (and this comment section it seems!) feel like this is so delightful. a warm bowl of stew to heat up the soul.
This is my first episode of Travel Season and it delivered on my expectations and then some! I really enjoyed learning the Korean history and terms for the food, seeing the photos taken throughout the trip and getting introduced to local spots! I also of course loved watching Andrew and Steven enjoy the food and talk about it. I can clearly tell this show was made with a specific vision and the enthusiasm, hard work, and love for the food really shine through. Shout out to the Watcher team for making such a fun and beautiful show.
i love the completely different pacing of these videos compared to other watcher videos but oh my god did it not prepare me for the shane wig jumpscare
I knew adam could do it because I remember him eating the whole plate of hot "poltergeist" fried chicken when steven promised him a thousand cinnamon buns if he finished it 😂
im so happy that andrew has joined watcher. hes so eloquently spoken and has the perfect vocabulary for describing taste and texture. im really excited to see more of him here
this is giving me nostalgia for days i spent home sick from school binge watching anthony bourdain: no reservations in the best way. Can't wait for more!
Shoutout to Adam and Annie for the awesome shots and Andrew for this beautiful edit! The kimchi museum and class were so cool. The feature with Johnny was unexpected, but welcomed and so cool! I feel like the spice challenge near the end just goes to show who can hide their pain loooool.
We know you all (understandably) hate having to do ads for sponsorship, but yours are easily the most entertaining of any TH-cam channel I watch. Thank you.
Happy to see a video with Steven in it again. There’s always so much that we don’t know that goes on behind the scenes in a company and I feel like they were making a business decision that probably made sense with the information they had, but wasn’t practical in reality. I don’t think they should be demonized because of that, especially since they listened to their audience and changed their decision. Thank you for the great content Watcher 😊
There is no better Crew for videos than these guys. Adam included love watching your videos since years no matter on what channel. You are such a dynamic duo and Adam adds such a funny and akward element. Hope you guys will do things together forever
I was not impressed by the first episode but I am liking it more and more now. That somehow soothing story telling and somewhat poetic/melancholic scenes, definitely gives a certain charm to the videos. Hope they do more and more and more )
I really love how in the early episodes of worth it Steven said he doesn’t have any experience in love and now has a wife and two dogs,Andrew too it really make me feel like I’ve grown with them
I'm so glad you're back with this style of series!!! My husband and I were so sad when Worth It ended, but I am also so glad y'all get to take so many artistic liberties now! Yay! The skit with Shane had me cackling 😂
kind of in response to another big comment on the fried chicken episode, but I love the new format! it’s cool and a lil professional and artistic! it’s very poetic to see the show grow in tandem with its creators, I love to see andrew, steven, adam and annie back together! I agree that an interview with an owner or a chef intermittently makes it feel a little more homey, and definitely helped me improve as a chef! love this stuff keep it up stay safe all y’all
Absolutely loveeee the show. It's so well edited, feels like a great documentary you can watch on cold winter days for comfort(I don't know if that makes sense) Love seeing Andrew, Steven, Adam together. Great job with the episodes! This is quality.
I can't believe this is the first series Watcher releases after "the uprising." Steven really took a beating through that for the decadence of being a world traveller eating expensive food. So start with Steven traveling the world to eat? Astroturf the comments section all you want with paid-for positivity; I don't think this will go over well.
I've been an avid fan since your Worth It days, and I just love that you started this new format in my home country Korea! (Great production and selection of places too!) Shane’s ad skit was top tier icl
That was so funny 😂😂

shoutout to Kat Hartman who is the creative mastermind behind this and many of Watcher's ads!
@mygirl737g2 if that was a regular character, I'd love it so much. Imagine ghost hunting with Shane the airline host 🤣🤣
The owner switch from "I was thinking how can I torture costumers" to "I absolutely HATE spicy food!" is peak 😂

It's the OG Spicey Noodles Challenge video. I'm amazed, they remembered the beginning.

Steven being absolutely ballistic during the last segment vs completely chill and harmonious Andrew was a hilarious dichotomy

Obsessed with this series so far. It’s like a more travel or culture-oriented version of “worth it”
Andrew: palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy
Also Andrew: it's not that bad lol
lmao @ Junho being like "He's trolling you" then cut to almost everyone in pain
So cool to see Johnny guest star! I love his fermentation content and he is the perfect creator to share a meal with the boys!

Andrew’s enunciation of Korean words was nearly flawless. Kudos, sir. 👏❤️

Brittney crying lmaoo poor girl 😭😂

The owner at the end is who I aspire to be as someone who rarely eats spicy too 😭
