I sent this to a friend after I was two minutes into the video. When he was two minutes in he told me he was ready to sell his land to move to Japan, buy a boat, and become a fisherman.
First time TH-cam algorithm recommended your video to me and you brought a tear to my eye because your voice and narration instantly reminded me of Anthony Bourdain.
Yessssss! My 2nd video in and I thought, "Aww man! He reminds me of Anthony Bourdain!" The travels, the knowledge, and just feeling like you've just been taken along for the ride. 😊
I feel like Dirt needs its own channel. It covers soooooooo much in such a short period of time it sometimes feels like it skims over some of the finer details in pursuit of conciseness. Would love to see a full 3-4 piece mini series per location, if there is enough footage.
I'm Japanese n live in Kyusyu. this is the best video that explains Japanese culture. there are many video about Japan for foreigner but I feel there are subtle difference between that video and real Japan though, this perfectly captures authentic Japan. I like this.
I love this stuff but it's fleetingly brief. Given how far these people (Dirt) travel for the material, would it hurt to be slightly more in-depth? I'm sure we can all concentrate for an extra 5 minutes... Hello, nice food, goodbye!
Having grown up for 13 years in Kagoshima, it is great seeing it featured. So much of Japan's beauty is right outside the bustling cities. Thanks for featuring Kyushu.
I like DIRT is one of the VERY few things on TH-cam that the comment section is a fun place to be. Such a great production, and the team keeps to their roots each episode, while progressing at the perfect pace. Also, everyone in the comment section is extremely jealous of Rosen. What a job man lol
I could forgo watching any kind of TV show for the rest of my life and just watch these mini doc style episodes. Another little masterpiece as usual, Huckberry. Japan is most definitely on the bucket list.
Dare I say DIRT is the best food & travel show since anything released with Anthony Bourdain's name attached to it? The cinematography, content, pace, host...everything is just...... *chef's kiss*
We spent 7 days driving around Kyushu, last year so many happy memories, beautiful countryside, and lovely friendly people , can't wait to go back in 2025 ,for four weeks, Buddha's blessing to all, from the Aussie
Lived in Fukuoka for 4 years (2018-2022) - miss it daily, especially the food scene. This is such a beautifully shot film - thanks for all the nostalgia!
Thank you so much for this beautiful little documentary about Kyushu and it’s wonderful people as well as it’s delicious foods. Beautifully filmed and mouth watering narrated. 本当にありがとうございました。
The way this was produced, the way you talk over the footage and the overall feeling I get from watching this is like I am watching Anthony Bourdain. Thanks for this amazing content!
I've gotten into the habit of watching videos in 2x speed, but for the first time watching these DIRT documentaries I had to watch them on normal speed. There is so much detail that makes you feel like you were actually there with them. I hope these continue for good and awesome job to the production team!
I have just discovered this channel, ARE YOU FXXXXING KIDDING ME???? this is the most perfect travel / food video I have seen in my life. And there are so many I still have to see. My life just got so much better . Thank you guys so much. You have made a guy from The Netherlands, that lives in Berlin Germany, so happy. THANK YOU!!!!!
I don’t ever comment on videos… but the vibe of this video-doc and the way you captured and showcased the true beauty and bones of Japan/Kyushu is so splendid! Please create more content around all of Japan!
Your editing is very good. I like how you put yourself into your stuff also like surfing and jumping off butt puckering heights. The story telling is amazing and you are funny. That's important,. It all is, and it's what hooks everyone on your vlogs. Thanks for it all!!
Man this was so good!!! I just want you guys to know how much I appreciate these videos you make and how much I can feel the love and appreciation that goes into them!! So thank you for that!!
Hi! I’m Japanese living in Fukuoka. This video is really good capturing at Kyushu. There are so many good food and beautiful landscapes. We are very welcoming people from abroad! Enjoy Kyushu🤞
I was getting bored with the amount of video content explaining every nooks and crannies of Tokyo and then I saw this just wow, real Japanese life no fancy bullshi, Kyushu countryside is beautiful has a bit of Showa era vibes and some cool people Thanks for making this free to watch
I live in Kyushu and run my business from here. Just discovered your channel 2 minutes ago as TH-cam recommended me this video. AWESOME! Amazing production and storytelling. Looking forward to seeing all your videos 🤙
Not sure how I got here but sheesh. These DIRT episodes are great. Keep em coming. Huckberry, Please just let this man do whatever he wants. Don’t donut this up.
This is one of the most gorgeous videos about Japan I have ever had the pleasure of viewing. I was clueless about this part of Japan. This video taught me a lot!

Man this is the first Huckleberry (Dirt) video I caught and watched. You guys have something magical and I will be binging this series. Your staff and team did an incredible job. Hoping for your series success and may there be many more episodes in the future.
I did this same thing. A sand burial at a chung moo doe seminar in Florida. Wow. 3 months of energy. I did a chu cho movement before the burial. it was incredible. One can feel their heart beat. cleans out the arteries etc.
So well done! Josh is great, the people are all lovely and the production quality is fantastic. The visual is GORGEOUS, the music is perfect and the editing is both sooting and enlivening. How’s all that for a compliment! Stoked for more!
Hi Mr.Rosen and the Crew! Thank you for highlighting Kyushu! I love living my slow paced life in Okinawa riding bikes, surfing, and camping with my wife. Everything you highlighted makes me proud to call Japan (especially the southern prefecture) home. All the best.
I just came across your channel for the very first time. As this episode was about Japanese street food so I gave it a try. Love your style and no "B.S" presentation. Subscribed.
This series makes me hate slogging it out , corporate life ,40 hours a week with out any adventure. There is so much to do and see in our world. Thanks for bringing awareness to all of these great places!
Thumbs up. This episode and Hokkaido episode are by far the best Japan travel and food shows I've ever seen. As I am planning to visit Japan this winter, I get a lot of inspiration from these shows. Thanks.
This video makes me appreciate japan more, I visited my family in nagiya last year, and mannnn all I did was cook and eat, I was a regular at lawson going there everyday getting snacks haha, makes me realize how much they put effort with their food.
I loved DIRT previous episodes, but this might be the best one yet. I want to eat wagyu, learn how to surf, fly to Kyushu tomorrow and live for a year there. Damn good 25 minutes… ❤
Our most recent episode of DIRT Japan just dropped! Check out DIRT: Hokkaido here: th-cam.com/video/hQ-vdiA1q5U/w-d-xo.html
No backflip into water on this one?
Dirt is easily the best thing to ever happen on youtube
True
I sent this to a friend after I was two minutes into the video. When he was two minutes in he told me he was ready to sell his land to move to Japan, buy a boat, and become a fisherman.
How do these videos not have more views?
As a Japanese, I really appreciate that you introduce (enjoy?) our beautiful Kyushu Island. Thank you so much.
i think 'Embrace' would be the right word here

Like 4K Bourdain. Love it.
Thank you, Universe ❤️
I thought about Tony as well...
Because he is copying Anthony Bourdain

Great to be a part of this. Hope to see you all in Japan soon!
I cannot imagine a more humble, authentic, and simply wonderful way to showcase the local food culture of foreign places! Amazingly done!
I love this stuff but it's fleetingly brief. Given how far these people (Dirt) travel for the material, would it hurt to be slightly more in-depth? I'm sure we can all concentrate for an extra 5 minutes... Hello, nice food, goodbye!

Haven’t felt this involved and amazed in a show since Bourdain. It’s like Bourdain but with chefs table quality cinematography
