    This video was so fun to watch! 😂 Those Chinese students were hilarious - their reactions to Texas BBQ were priceless. The brisket looked AMAZING and I love how they got more and more excited with each dish. The guy who said 'Make me another one' had me rolling! Great video, totally made me hungry 🍖👌

    Sheldon being a Chinese student from China that’s amazing, also I thought Sheldon spoke. Mandarin fluently when she is next to him he said absolutely nothing, except for you’re correct only in and used English the whole time lol And he double dips on the shrimp come on man what a scammer

      He actually spoke Mandarin for all of it but we cut out a lot of his lines cause he's not an actual Chinese student and we wanted more focus on their reaction rather than a Chinese American. 💪
      Can't save him from double dipping though. 😂

    Everything in Texas BBQ is delicious. The meat, the sides, everything. The only issue I have is that both the meat and the sides don't really balance each other out, they are both "main character" levels of flavor. I think a better meal would be meat + rice or sides + rice, rather than meat + sides.

    Kansas City style--famous in Texas! I kid, I appreciate that they're introducing American style bbq and not just Texas to China, and just like other cuisines in new places, they serve more than just one style. I would've given them some bread though, of whatever kind. Just meat is kinda a heavy load.

    the natives didnt make up smoking food. slowly smoking food for preservation was a thing since before homosapiens.

    • @MrVvulf

      Exactly. A quick google search for "when was smoking meat invented" yields the reply -
      "Smoking meat is an ancient method of food preparation that likely originated in the Paleolithic era"
      For reference The Paleolithic era spanned from approximately 2.6 million years ago to around 10,000 BCE, so smoking meat is AT LEAST 12,000 years old.

    • @nullakjg767

      @MrVvulf maybe it's because natives were technically at a stone age level of technology when the Europeans arrived? They never learned metallurgy so I guess they represented neanderthals? Alghough it still Doesn't really make sense to credit them with every pre civilization invention.

    • @MrVvulf

      @@nullakjg767 No, that explanation doesn't work, because civilizations that the Europeans would have known about also smoked meat, including their own. Google this "how long have Europeans been smoking meat". The reply - "Europeans have been smoking meat since prehistoric times".
      The person who made the video just wanted to be dramatic and tell a tale. It's as simple as that.
      Sadly, it's important to do research on any claim these days, ESPECIALLY on social media where people want "exciting dramatic stories" to drive up the algorithms.

    • @nullakjg767

      I@@MrVvulf I said it doesnt make sense. so what do you mean by "it doesnt work" but then go on to agree with me? i was just coming up with an example of why people may be claiming natives invented smoking food because hes not the first person to say this. Smoke signals were historically used by many cultures, but its associated with native americans because they were still using them when europeans arrived. I think natives are just being credited with stone age inventions, beacuse they were still in the stone age. But I still think its clear they didnt invent any of them.

    • @MrVvulf

      @@nullakjg767 I'm saying that the explanation in the video doesn't work, not your theory, because the Europeans would already have been familiar with smoking meat. I wouldn't worry about it, it's not worth our time, and guessing for the reason behind an incorrect statement in the video is a fruitless endeavor.

      It's not supposed to be very hot because ideally it comes right out of the smoker < 200ish degrees or a warmer. Which is quite warm but not like eating food right off a grill (can be >500 degrees at the surface) or out of a pot of boiling soup which is more common in other types of cuisine

    • @lunchinchina

      When he says warm he is meaning in reference to direct heat cooking. Most styles of bbq in China cook meat directly over an open flame and then eat it immediately. If you let it sit at the table for even a bit more than 10 minutes it's common to ask to have it taken back and put on the fire again to get it hot again. That's what he was joking about how they can't put it back on the smoker.
