  • Check out Steven's latest Worth It series on Buzzfeed's TH-cam channel: • $1 Eggs Vs. $89 Eggs •...
For our last night in LA we met Steven from Buzzfeed's hit series Worth It, who had agreed to take us to the winner of their viral video about Korean BBQ in America.
We get to go to one of Stevie Wonder's favourite restaurants and taste some of the most expensive, high quality beef I've ever tried!
Huge thanks to everyone involved in the creation of this video:
Written and Directed by Josh and Ollie

I do that with Spanish frequently, I think it's definately is a big thing also for people born in the states with parents who were not born there as Akie says not just any nationality exclusive. For the most part I don't think we notice were doing such a thing, I respond to everything in english and don't even realize I'm doing it or being spoken to in Spanish unless someonepoints it out and is like wow you respond in english when your mom is talking to you in spanish.

As kids, some couldn't be bothered thinking English is enough, and some are scared of being teased for speaking their own language by their white/black friends. Unfortunately, a lot of the immigrant parents don't push their kids to learn their native language because they're so proud of their kids speaking fluent English.

Like, seriously. I just re-watched older Worth It episodes when this video came out. This collaboration is so good, I couldn't hide my smile and excitement watching you guys enjoying your food.
And I'm so excited as well if the Worth It will be South Korea themed and Josh+Ollie will be Steven+Andrew+Adam's guide. I can't wait! Yay! 😍
I love the way you pointed out that food is the easiest way to share our culture. I do love everything about food and their back stories, it's so heartwarming and makes me able to respect other's cultures and backgrounds. But that K-Pop thing isn't wrong though, as an ARMY (BTS fans) I do pay attention about how Korean culture become easily wide-spread internationally through them.
It doesn't matter which way we could do to share our culture to people because every person has their own preferences and liking, as long as we do it with sincere and love, they'll love it.

it's a total irony how an English person =Josh speaks better Korean than the Korean-American waiter/sajangnim serving at the restaurant...

Haha I'm native Korean but as I'm living in France now studying and speaking french all day, I don't think I can say that I speak better Korean than Josh lol. It just happens when I'm not surrounded by my first language.

My parents and I were vacationing in New York. Out of all the restaurants we could go to, we chose to have BBQ in Koreatown (we aren't Korean) and it turned out to be the best meal of our trip! US beef wasn't as fatty as Korean beef but it tasted more meaty and got more texture. And US portions were a lot bigger too :D

It was Kpop that got me into Korean culture and made me want to try the food. Starting with T-ARA, Wonder Girls & AOA and then Twice, Oh My Girl & Gfriend, then a million more (I stan nearly every girl group). It's because of them that I started going to Korean restaurants and now I love Korean food. If not for Kpop I might never have found Korean Englishman or my favorite mukbanger Tzuyang.
