Hello! We are a famely of 4 from Portugal. Since November 2020, 3 of us have been doing your exercices almost every days of the week. I had a breath blockage from Covid and I am fully recovered from it. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us 🙏
Dr. Lim, I have been following this everyday for about 10 days. I am just starting the journey of pulling myself out of long covid and a friend sent me this link. I am already feeling the difference and am so grateful. I can hardly tell you how much these 19 minutes with your gentle voice means to me! Thank you.
Thank you for these exercises. I have late stage neurologic Lyme disease that is masquerading as MS. I am integrating these exercises in order to minimize loss of mobility and function.
I have just tried one of these, thought it was only alright. Then found you, i have just finished and im warm especially in areas i have stiffness, after the video had finished the casing on my tv or speaker made a sound like when it expands or retracts, the tv hasnt been on all night and i watch this on my phone so no power has gone through the tv/speaker since last night. I will be stalking you now, i mean following 😂 you explained each exercise well and the camera got you from different angles which is good 👍 ❤
Thank you so much for sharing this. I was your patient more than 10 years ago in LA and you are the best acupuncturist I have ever experienced. Now, I am following you here in Brazil. This will do good for a lot of people.
I'm from Kazakhstan. Found out about Qigong by chance when I was looking for remedy for my dad's Parkinsons. So I wanted to tested it myself first, fell in love. Since then, I do it every day. This one is the best movements so far. Thank you!
Hallo Mrs Lim, I have just practised these Qi Gong excercises before doing my Shaolin trainings. It's a wonderful flowing energy experience. Thank you for showing this new richness for heart, health & wellbeing.☺🙏
Hi thank you its simple and effective i just watched the video sitting still and the chi was flowing effortlessly as it was in the movements you were performing thank you
I really did enjoy this video. Thank you so much for sharing. My name is Syvella . I love the movement of each exercise. It is so feminine and graceful it is a beautiful work of art. I just started learning so I will continue to practice once again thank you.
I just wanted to say - thank you so so much for sharing this video and practices! I have been babbling yoga and meditation for years, lately breathwork as well, yet due to a rockstar lifestyle, my inner world it felt like a bandaid less of a release. I have had issues with my voice, and the fear has limited my career and singing. Doing these practices, I can instantly feel the power and release with each one. A friend introduced me to Qi Gong, but your movement was easy to follow and welcoming. I just wanted to thank you for your time and intention in putting these together. To send gratitude and love from here in Ausralia. I've included this video as part of a playlist for a course I am creating, as I would love to share this powerful wisdom from people who are the traditional keepers of it, as I feel both collectively and individually, this will support a better world by supporting our inner world and inner power
thank you Dr. Lim. gently energizing while working on breathing which can be challenging. i appreciated the zooming in on moves, different angles and the pace of the clips. much love, be well
Just found your site and appreciate this lesson. Some of the others were too stressful on my lower back so this one seems to be fine. Feels so good first thing in the morning gets the body ready for the day. Hope you have more segments regarding healthy living.
Hi Martha, thank you for your input and glad to hear that the movements feel good on the back. In all the exercises, you can always modify if you have lower back issues. I'll be teaching the other two series of the Liangong exercises soon, which focus more specifically on musculoskeletal issues. Also, you can check out our Instagram page @tcmhealingcenter for more general health tips and information!
This is an excellent video that includes important massage qi gong movements which often get overlooked. The commentary is very useful because small issues do matter in qi gong. I'd suggest adding exhale and inhale captions as it can be very convenient. Otherwise, I'd say this is the best qigong video out there.
Stress seems to happen for no particular reason these days. So I thank you for your soulful offering. I throughly enjoyed and relaxed. The breathing very calming, the stretching way openings... It felt so good, I'm going to do another round right now... btw, It would be wonderful to see your name in the description here. Thank You - Blessing Be!
Awesome Flow along with great explanation which you do not see in other videos you are a great teacher I will add this form to my daily routine thank you !
I have just found your channel, absolutely love your videos, the best I've done but very disappointed that there aren't more, are you no longer creating videos?
This type of breathing exercise is called I Qi Gong. It is practiced by thousands here in Brazil. It is really helpful. There are two other sets of exercises called Liang Gong. The demonstration in the video is the third of 3 sets of exercises.
Enjoyed the video very much. Demonstration are excellent. Only problem It’s very hard to hear your explanations could be louder. When you smile you brighten everything around you. Thanks for the video.
Found this video today and followed along with you. I will be incorporating this with my other Qigong exercises. Thank you for providing excellent examples of this practice. Almost anyone can do these movements if they are ambulatory.
Pranayama is my practise for about 40 years and I never get any flu or blogged nose. Now I am 83 and continue table tennis and collecting postage stamps on paintings and enjoy happiness following Auroville development.
This is a wonderfull serie of exercises. I already do qigong, but these 18 forms make it easy to do in my breaks at work. Its all in one. Thanknyou so much!! Greeting from the netherlands 🧘🥰
Call and deep relaxing Qi gong session, easy to follow , good explanations. Which kind of Qi Gong is this ? what is the name of just this technique you are doing here ? Thank you so much , and hope for more sessions soon !
Hi Angi. I wrote a comprehensive summary of the history of these exercises up at the top of the screen right underneath the TH-cam video. If you click on where it says "Show More" underneath the caption, you should be able to see the rest of the summary of these exercises. This particular Qi Gong is called Lian Gong Shi Bai Fa Yi Qi Gong, or 18 Movement Lian Gong for Lung and Respiratory Health.
Hi Dr Lim: Thank you for this exercise program. Would you consider making an additional one to add to this program? The exercises have been so helpful and provide a deep relaxation that lasts throughout the day. Many thanks! ❤️Sandra
Hi Sandra! Yes, I will definitely be coming up with more Qi Gong series in the future which will work on other aspects of health. Look out for them in the near future! :)
I will be looking for more exercises from you. The music “drowns” the voice overlay at times - which in my case, makes following the instructions more difficult. Thank you
Thank you for this routine which my class enjoyed, It started off well but then it was twice interrupted by adverts., which really breaks your concentration and takes you out of the zone. I am not sure if there is anyway to avoid this break in the flow.
I’m just getting into Qigong & this is the best video I’ve seen on TH-cam so far. Well explained & demonstrated. Just wondered how many times is best for each exercise?
Dear Dr. Lim, hello from Brazil! Thank you for this great Qigong practice. Is there such a thing as a complete Qigong routine that we could do daily, combining exercises and meditation?
Hello, Julia! There is a series of Qi Gong exercises that hopefully I will try to post in the upcoming months that is more of a complete routine with exercises and breathing meditation.
This was excellent, thank you! I recall learning a movement that was similar to one that you did, but can't recall the name. It's sort of like a standing body twist where the backs of the hands meet each other in the middle.
Thank you very much for sharing your excellent video and the explanatory text. I`d like to ask you a question, do the movements have names? (other than the instruction)
Thank you! Yes, each exercise does have a name. Roughly translated from Chinese, they are: Exercise #1: 自然呼吸 Breathe Naturally 2: 呼吸练功 Breathe and Exercise the Qi 3. 亮翅吸气 Spread the Wings and Breathe 4. 下蹲吐气 Squat and Exhale 5. 按摩理气 Massage and Regulate the Qi 6. 摩面暖气 Massage the Face and Warm the Qi 7. 擦颈平气 Massage the Neck and Pacify the Qi 8. 推颈缓气 Massage the Back of Neck and Ease/Soothe the Qi 9. 拍胸松气 Pat the Chest and Relax the Qi 10. 提臂宽气 Raise the Arms, Expand the Qi 11. 开胸顺气 Open the Chest and Breathe Easy 12. 看手运气 Look at the Hand and Circulate the Qi 13. 上下通气 Open Up the Movement of Qi Through the Whole Body 14. 转腰舒气 Turn Waist and Relax the Qi 15. 俯仰补气 Bend the Body Backwards and Forwards and Tonify the Qi 16. 仆步壮气 Reverse Bow Stance and Strengthen the Qi 17. 锻炼正气 Exercise the Righteous Qi 18. 踏步行气 Step and Move the Qi Hope this helps!
Please can you do more leg raising and body twisting at waist. Is there a movement about the horse - sidwise movement raising leg. Much gratitude to you.
Hello, thank you for writing. I'm not quite sure what you mean. Do you want me to teach more leg raising and body twisting exercises? The exercises can be adjusted according to your own movement ability. If you feel that you would like greater range of movement, you can increase the range of movement for each exercise.
@Shipra N These are in the description above. This is part 1. I'll let you find part 2. You can find many vids of same sets on YT. Don't want to drive you away from this channel. Please come back here. I am happy with this set and her form is really excellent : th-cam.com/video/FgQkYSAmJ6o/w-d-xo.html
