You are my kind of guy. Cruising in a 45 MPH zone at 70! Oh, and a very nice tutorial on paddle shifting.
Haha thank you! Didn’t even realize that
@@Red5oh I am having a difficult time engaging the cruise control. I know, I know, its a simple process. Hit your traveling speed touch the cruise control on the bottom left of the steering wheel and it should take over. Not with me. I quickly lose acceleration and it does not engage. Does the car conform to the posted speed limit and prevent me from cruising at a higher speed? The car simply does not engage into my preferred speed. Got any suggestions?
All this content has been amazing bro I’m glad you been making lots of of content on the s650 👍
Thanks bro! Yeah it was nice to get a hold of s650 mustangs
I love the downshifts it does especially with the x pipe.🎉
I gotta check out your xpipe set up bro!
Bought this same exact car(color and rims) - the stripes for my wife. I drive it occasionally and was wondering if anyone can tell me if you can put the car in neutral with the paddle shifters??
Nope you can’t do that you need a DCT like in GT500 to do that. To rev this car you’d have to put the shifter into N
@@Red5oh thanks
so what happens if you are in low gear or high gear will automatic take over and shift gear automatically to protect the engine?
Yeah it won’t let you be in a gear that is not good for the car. So in both cases it will shift for you or keep you in the lowest/highest gear possible depending on the situation
I recently purchased a new 2024 Camaro 2SS 10 speed Automatic and I’m basically clueless as to how to properly use the paddle shifters. Do the principals you share on your video also apply to my Camaro even though your using a 2024 Ford Mustang?
Congrats on your new car! Yes same principle applies. Only major difference being Camaros red like is around 6k rpm instead of 7.4k. You just have to shift before 6k. It’s simple to learn and once you’ve gotten a hold of it you’ll love it
@@Red5ohthanks🙏👌👍
Does it hurt the car at all if I just let it downshift itself? I’ve always been kinda confused on when exactly i should downshift.
Nope it doesn’t hurt the car if it downshifts on its own. Doing on your own allows you to control rpm and it’s more fun
Do you easily mistakenly shift to manual mode when shifting down to drive mode sometimes?
No it hasn’t happened anytime I’ve drive these new ones. But since they are so close I can see that happening
@@Red5oh Oh okay, yeah I’m just use to shifting all the way down to drive and pushing it to the left to put it in manual. So I was thinking if it’ll be a problem for me shifting it to manual when I’m trying to shift it down to drive. Since it’s all lined up.
So my question is if you downshift while in D to say 2 gear going 30-40 MPH and floor it, will normal drive mode take over and shift for you or does it cut out like it does in M mode?
It will take over and shift for you to protect the engine. There’s no risk this way
@@Red5oh Okay awesome! Seems like this would be extremely useful for roll racing.
Do you lift off the gas each time you upshift or just stay on the gas? Thanks
You don’t have to. I typically keep my foot on gas
Thanks much.
Can you downshift from 3-2-1 at low mph ?
Yes you can without any harm to the transmission
Does holding both paddles disengage the clutch like Lambos?
No you need dct transmission for that. Gt500 does it since it has dct
@Red5oh I've worked in the auto industry for 8 years, and obviously have experience with some high-performance rides.. I did not know that, so thank you for sharing! Learn something new every day!
@@mototig2916 always happy to help! That was my first thought too because it would be cool to rev it up in N
How many second before it switch to auto ?
Not sure about exact but I’d say 4-5 secomds
Can I go from D to N and then from N to D on the move?
Yes but only in the speed of the first gear because when you go on D after rolling on N the car put the 1
@@Adrien32200
I understand, thank you very much.
Yeah I’d probably avoid it to be on the safe side even if 1st gear speed
So it's like having fun of manual with automatic?
Basically yes!
It even blips the throttle on manual downshift lol
Yes the rev matching downshifts are really cool!
Waiting on the Karen comments to come about your speed.. LMAO
Lol managed to get away with it. We were in Mexico anyways 😂
This is still confusing for me 😢
Practice on some back roads and you’ll get a hang of it
Every Millennium out there knows how to use the paddle shifters they all grew up with PlayStation why don't you teach him how to drive a stick shift you're probably a millennium yourself so you don't know how
That’s a lot of assumptions buddy
I have one and have zero idea how to use paddle shifters lol
So you’re wrong.
@@COOLSODA5 lol exactly not everyone knows how to and that’s ok. Hopefully this video will help you!
It’s “millennial”, not “millennium”….
Imagine trying to insult someone but you’re this stupid.
