Hot head Headliner install on my 2 door JL!!

In todays video I install the Hot head headliner on to my 2 door JL
The options I chose was the sound assassin strips and the side window panels that are optional.

Easy mod and great upgrade. I was looking at getting a headliner since I live in Vegas. If It didn’t come with the jeep this is a good idea!

When I bought my new 2020 Rubicon it originally came with the soft top so through the dealer I ordered the hard top with the headliner and they installed it , no regrets with it , like you you still have road noise that is to be expected , after all it is a Jeep!, with living in South Carolina it gets hot here to with the headliner I believe it helps in keeping it more cooler

rachel dempster Yep there’s not getting around it’s a brick with wheels haha but the heat reduction and little improvement in low speed noise is nice!

I have been driving a Jeep since 12/12/84, a 1985 Jeep CJ7. With a hard top, soft top, bikini top.Get used to the noise! Damn! It’s a Jeep! I now have a Jeep Rubicon, 2019, noise yes, expected, yes. It’s a Jeep! Have fun! Drive where ever you want. It’s a Jeep!

My MY19 2dr JL Overland came with this whole kit standard. I have to say, wind noise remains an issue though I don't know how bad it would be otherwise. As for temp regulation... Well, I'm in Australia so the climate controls get a workout all year round.

Craig Mulhall So far the heat regulation has been better now that I’ve had it on for a few days. Noise wise I’ve noticed it’s better at lower speeds but at highway speeds it’s still a Jeep haha. For real man you guys get no break 😂

I'm interested to know what you think of the heat reduction. I have the Hothead Headliners too and I live in FL. My Jeep doesn't seem to get as hot, and the AC doesn't work as hard to keep the Jeep cool. I didn't notice a huge sound difference either, but it looks nice and the heat reduction alone was totally worth it to me.

I live in FL too. You are correct it does not get as hot and the AC doesn’t work harder. As for the sound, I truthfully have not noticed any change. In short I think is a great mod.

You filmed this on 225 (I recognize the Shell plant). Why did I think you lived in SA? There aren't a lot of opportunities for off roading or rock crawling in Houston.

RB Musser I had just heard a lot of good things about it. Plus it seems like it was bit higher quality and came with more things to help keep heat and sound out. I also looked at the factory molar option and didn’t seem like it was quite as nice either.

May I ask you a few questions in order to help me make the right choice in my purchase? 1. what made you choose a 2 door over a 4 door? 2. Did you experience any problems with your clutch, and have you taken it in as a result of the recall? I was going to order a 2021, but decided that I can probably get a good deal on a 2020 (especially a 6 speed). Have found a 2 door with everything I want except it has black hardtops rather than white. Also found a 4 door with everything I want, including white hardtops, except I wanted a 2 door. Your thoughts? Thank you.

Even if my 2020 2-door cost the same as a 4-door, still would have bought a 2-door. The extra maneuverability in tight situations is why I prefer my 2-door. Chose bright white body (and top) to reduce heat from sunlight. Will admit, I am e-curious. Wonder if they will offer hybrids with 2-doors?

Jennifer Harris I went with the 2 door simply because I always wanted a 2 door Jeep ever since I was a little kid. 2 it’s more maneuverable off-road and has the best break over angle compared to the 4 door and I don’t “need” the space. I like both though just personally the 2 door works for me. Can’t go wrong with either honestly

Admiral Pain after having it on a few days now I can say that the heat reduction is definitely noticeable as well as the sound system sounding better. It is a little quieter but at higher highway speeds it’s still a brick haha

Admiral Pain I’d say the factory one isn’t as high quality honestly. I looked at one in person on a gladiator and it didn’t seem like it would be as nice as the hot head one. Just food for thought
