  • I compare popular Jeep headliners and share my experience with Hothead Headliners for my 2020 Jeep Wrangler JL. Headliners compared include Mopar for the JT, Mopar for the JK, Boom Mat, Hothead Headliners, Jeep Tops, and Bedrug. I ran Bedrug headliners on my 2013 JK. I was looking at Hothead Headliners when the owner reached out to me to review their headliners and compare to competing products.

    When a company provides you a sample of their product, along with a sample of their competitors products, tells you they are very confident in their product. Love the look and construction of the Hotheads liners. Buying a set today for my Gladiator Mojave.

    Thanks for the review. I have had 2 sets of Hotheads and enjoyed them. Added the Sound Assassin as well. You should call Hothead headliners directly, they are very good about warranty issues and send new tape or panels if needed.

    I also had the same issue. But, hotheads took care of it quickly and professionally. The product itself is really good, jeep now is much much cooler and sound has improved. yes install a little pita to install but worth it and easy to do. I love mine and yes they do look really good. I'd recommend them in a heart beat.

    I have the mopar on the s, they seem to work well. They came with my jeep for free otherwise I would have made my own. I do have bedtred for my flooring. Its great and easy to clean after my two German shepherds take a ride.

    I tried them, but the odor was terrible. I was not about to put them in my new Jeep. I'm told they have had a lot of complaints and are sourcing new adhesive to solve this issue. I also had exposed stapes coming through the face of the headliner. Not for me.

    Just purchased a set for my 2022 JL. I appreciate your pioneering the Hotheads and breaking trail for me. Any chance I can get you to 'spot for me'? Just kidding. Now I know to sand the hardtop, wipe it down, wipe with acetone THEN install the sound attenuation strips and then the headliners on a warm day. Preferably in the sun?

    Understanding that you would not be able to remove them i would consider using permatex when applying the velcro or whatever is attaching the brand you choose and also removing the panels from the jeep and applying with tjem flipped over and letting them cure for 24 hours before putting back on the jeep.

    Big thx for ur hardwork by Trying to help us ,,,, for me the look is the last thing i'd care bout bc a Jeep needs to be naked most of the times,,,,, a lot of people make reviews on headliners i feel it would be 100000000000 times better if most of them bought a Laser Gun to check the TEMP..at the end of the day we matter or Temp and noise,,,,, a laser gun before and after installation would be great that would help us to know where to put how money ,,,,,but by just saying ,,it feels better so n so ,,,,not enough in science world,,,,........ nice video thx again for ur help

    TBH the hotheads is very cheap, but ingenious. The multiple materials offers multiple medium changes, which is good for sound and temperature. And they use mass loaded vinyl strips too i think. All in all like 100$ worth of material but great use. That being said boom mat and mopar brands just need some vinyl strips too and boom.

    at the end of the day, who, out of the five products presented, offered the best value AND performance for the dollar. The MOPAR stuff looks like typical OEM supplied accessories with the OEM price. The other products looked like they tried to go a step further and offer some heat reflectance. What about rain? How well do these panels cut down on rain noise hitting the roof?

    • @Berserkeroffroad
      @Berserkeroffroad  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

  • @crazybill49

    When your panels failed to stay up why didn't hotheads customer service step up and provide you with the new tape? Why did you have to do it yourself? And the rear panel didn't really fit either. Looks like a FAIL to me especially at that price yet you gave them a positive review?

    2 things:
    1) your instructions you showed clearly stated 'no sanding required'. but included sandpaper?? they weren't missing a step, they were just bad instructions...
    2) your head actually touches the roof when driving??! damn. lower your seat. you know the handle that people put the 'pull to eject' sticker on... that'd be the one.

    • @Berserkeroffroad
