I put this on my car that has no clear coat issues, just typical warm, few small chips and now with it already having a good clear coat it looks even shinier. This helps gain a very drippy wet look. In some areas some streaks were left that I can just buff smooth with special denim pads and compound
Hey Thanks for sharing! That is correct. If you have some spots, you want to go back and touch up you can simply wet sand with 600 to 800 grit. You’re not looking to remove the clearcoat just looking to get it smooth out and you can reapply! Reach out anytime!
@@poppyspatina I don’t even need sandpaper, with special car pro denim pads it’s even safer so u know u never take off too much!
Link plz, I'm in a process doing this. @@Alexautopaintglasscoatings
@@gbitpal not sure how to post a link sadly but just type in: CAR PRO ORANGE PEEL DENIM PADS. In the google search bar and it will pop up. Let me know if that works or not
@Alexautopaintglasscoatings You just gave me weeks of my life back. I've been sanding this crap for DAYS on every car I've put it on. Comes out great but takes forever & eats up too much clear. Thanks!
I like this stuff my sister did her classic car with it and it came out great. Im going to do this same hood in the video and im curious: did you need to let it dry before doing the passenger side? I sprayed my hod flat black and wet sanded and i will be wiping on a gloss
yeah but how long does it last?
On another video with another product, they suggest doing something like 3-5 coats. Each coat took 10 minutes to dry. So I am sure longevity depends on layers of coats.
I can literally see the old burnt clear
It’s all in the prep man. Paint is all about the prep-they don’t take it all the way down.
I'm not trying to be rude at all in any way but I don't think you did the correct numbers or you didn't follow
Looks way better than before 👍🏽
Baby oil would have done the same no diddy
Can you use the Poppy's for "Spot" applications such as the tops of doors, top section of a Dodge fender OR must you do the entire panel to achieve satisfactory results?
Looks like u can still see the marks from the clear coat peeling after u applied
You can. They're just trying to scam people out of money.
It clearly says to avoid touching an area if it's been more than 30 seconds after the coating is first applied, yet the video depicts the guy doing exactly that: after going over the first half of the hood, he then addresses the front edge where some of the product had run, wiping across the edge to spread out the runs and to apply product to the rest of that portion - long after 30 seconds had elapsed. He then moves to the other half of the hood where, in order to avoid a bare spot down the entire center, he necessarily overlaps a tiny bit with the previous side. Since his first pass was made down the center, this has to have occurred several minutes later. This is my long-winded way of asking: when you say to avoid going over any already-coated portion after 30 seconds, does that actually mean to avoid any full passes, but that a little "edging" work is okay?
Thanks for commeting. This just means don’t go back over any areas after 30 seconds of applying to that area.
For the best results you will want to use in a well ventilated area at a temperature between 50° Fahrenheit and 77° Fahrenheit. If this is not available to you, apply and get early in the morning is best. The cooler the temperature the better. The less humidity the better as well. You will want the surface to stay dry and clean when applying the product.
How long before it cracks, peels, chips, or fades?
2 week warranty haha
Probably immediately
In my black SUV bonnet there are white patches. However it doesn’t feel uneven when running the hand on top. Is this clear coat peal or something else ?
How long does it realistically last in southern climates
Can you use a different reducer with the hot rod block paint
How long would this last in a state like florida
Same question here.
Probably best to use this product right before selling the vehicle. 😉
can literally see the faded dried old clear coat marks in the last clip just seconds after you applied the patina. looks like crap lmao
Hello. How can i buy this kit??
Does this fix burn thru paint from over use of a buffer?
can you use this on a plastic bumper with faded paint ?
This stuff looks great. We definitely have some cars that could benefit from this product.
Before shot was outside in the sun, after shot was inside. Not a real good indicator
Later as you normally would wash it can you use the normal products like ceramic shine, wash and wax, spray detailer, stuff like that?
Correct! These products were great for clearcoat maintenance!
I need more inform for that I live in USA the shipping how I can trust them. We’re good I’m on mobile detailing so I would like to try to some card. I have a couple customer like vehicle like that.
is this permanent or temporary
Better prep will provide a better finish
How do you get rid of clear coat that is still on I have a strip right in the center of my hood?
sand it lol
Is this just Pentrol?
Fix your headlights already!!!
Do you make a product that works on fiberglass shells like the 4Runner / Bronco / Blazer?
This works great on fiberglass! Reach out anytime!
Does this actually work
Im about to give it a try ask me in 12 days once it arrives
@@MarkMinistriesyeah same
No lol. This is lipstick on a pig. There's no 'magic' way to fix clear coat that's been burnt through or missing other than doing it properly and repainting/reclearing the area. The only thing this does is provide a temporary 'wet' topping to surfaces. It'll wash off and fade just like regular waxes/polish. The fact the seller doesn't even speak to the durability of the product tells you all you need to know. I'm sure they'll sell thousands of bottles to the 'tiktok' crowd though.
@@MarkMinistrieswell???
@@mrmustache8735 Overall I'd say it went well it did improve the look drastically BUT they forgot the pre cleaner and I think they forgot the gel coat application pads which could be the cause of why it looks a bit streaky. The application came out streaky a bit rather than perfect BUT it did drastically improve my look. I had severe clear coat fading on my 1997 f150. I like how I did not have to mask up and tape off and stuff BUT it came out a bit streaky but that's okay I wasn't wanted to pay the price for perfection since this truck has 300,000 miles on it about.
What if I sand it first? Better finish or doesn’t help? Thanks.
I love how they heart react but don't respond.
Will this work if there is no clear left? All thats left is base...
considering this is a wipe on clear coat its probably better if you don't have a current clear coat cause this will make one and then it will be all uniform as long as the base coat is fully intact and not faded and spoted but i'd think you get some touch up spread it around and than put this stuff on and your good as new or at least shinier for 2 or more years
Probably better then leaving it base won't last long then you start getting rust I would give it a shot see how it comes out. Worst case you DA sand it again and shoot entire car base and clear. I have repainted several cars not as difficult as many think it is just paint. People are intimidated by urethane more then needs to be. I DA sand entire car then use same method in the video Stochbright pad and W&G remover. I use one of those $100 Harbor Freight carports add plastic to the sides use two cheap box fans from Walmart throw some AC filters on the backsides of them blows clean air in. Not perfect good enough for a budget paintjob.
I Recommend wet Sanding it just to get the Lumpy stuff off

This won’t last. The bottom portion of the cracked clear will break through the new clear and make it look like the old in around a month or two. When it looks like this you have to unfortunately do it properly but sanding it, priming, colour, then clear.
I believe you'll get at least a year or two out of it if you do it right. It's held up quite awhile in the Florida sun, just now starting to see blemishes break through, but I only did 1 coat and wetsanded 85% of it off.
There’s nothing wrong with this product, auto paint snobs are a real thing. Bee keepers and auto paint knobs seems to be the worst variety.
If you have a good hand at applying, it works fine just like spraying. But if you do either one poorly, the finish won’t be as good. And as always prep is the key to any paint job
what did I do wrong It came out flat & I ordered gloss
Don't do this in the Sun do it inside your Garage

Might want to do a clay bar step just prior to the cleaning step…. Just sayin’.

Really? You can't tell that's her friend being sarcastic? Come on man
You can still see the damaged clear coat under the new.
It's not a new paintjob.
@@jp.9664 I ordered the clear coat. Gonna give it a shot. Thanks
Of course you can. All this does is gives it the appearance it has when it’s wet. There is no way to ‘fix’ peeling clearcoat other than sand it all off, paint and clear the panel again.
Hell nawwwww 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Load of crap . 1 viewer comment, stated approx $177 for this product . At this price, it is cheaper to do the proper job yourself, sandpaper, a can of colour matched spray, and a can or 2 of clear coat spray. Much better solution. Various you tube channels show process.
Nice work...
But it always makes me laugh the way Americans say
"Ve - hicle"
Its simply "vehicle"
depends on what part of the country your in. Southern USA usually says veee-hicle
The finished product still looks like crap. Quik fixes are NEVER the answer. Do it right or dont do it.
Well brother the quest for patina has nothing to do with a beautiful painted product. Have a clue
How about you go do yourself and let the rest of us do what we want to. Dumass
Some people don't have thousands of dollars laying around for new paint bud
That’s what I call a crappie comment. 👎🏾
@@Xcitebikeyou could easily fix this with $50-$75 of product and a days worth of elbow grease.
that crap is trash
Better but still looks like crap
So what is different from wet sanding and spraying another clear coat on?
