Does each stage of the tuna represent the power is going to give?
Good figures i guess! My T5 is flashed and should give 300bhp and 380nm. I have a Automatic. There is a BIG difference in stage 1 tune and stage 3. That 3"Dp and exhaust lets you get broader boost band.
I can recommend the forge piston Turbo valve and an MAC10 bcv. Both available at Autotech.

Spencer Schulz i got a sad little b5244s in my s80, the Texas heat I think kills hp on my NA i5 tbh. I wish i had a turbo i5 but the NA sounds great.
The Mustang dyno generally reads lower than others. I think it's nickname is the heart breaker dyno.
Tavarish talks about why the Mustang dyno is called The Heart Breaker.
I thought they were the braggers dyno and it read high? Guess i've got that mixed up. Hmmm...

I have a Audi 200 avant with a full rs2 turbo setup posting video tomorrow for sure just got it running semi good still tuning on the streets I’ll show u crazy 5 cylinder 20 valve sound hahaha
Any idea what the torque split was? I know it’s supposed to be 70/30 but I’ve heard people reporting it being as low as 85/15
Can't wait to get my 98 V70 XC tuned. I have the awd shaft off (gonna get a new one) installed 19T turbo with white injectors. Blow off valve and Front mount intercooler. I can spin the tires at 30 mph and it's an automatic 🙂😎
I'm running 10-12 psi not sure what HP I'm making but this thing is a beast on the Interstate. Well hit 120 mph easily. The stock turbo (13T) would run out of steam about 60 mph but was more punch down low. 19T is a bit laggy on the bottom but pulls strong up top
That car has been tuned to have 270 at the crank when rated at 296 crank from the factory. For you to say it has lost power means you have no clue what you are talking about. 270 wheel would be about 320 crank.

Any new tune will wipe old tune, but you will save the old tune, because you will be sending the original file to be tuned, I have a S60 D5 here in the UK and I have fitted a larger flash ROM so I can now switch between std and tuned Even when the car is running, by a

Hi you could if you got another flash ROM and piggy back the one already fitted in the ecu have the new flash ROM flashed with the new tune and switch between the chip select pin ,using a remote controlled Relay, you will have to be very good at soldering,

Hi your ECU is a Bosch ME7, it uses a flashrom Am29F800

the post is about the edc15 ecu but the mode will be the same,
one am29f800 programmed with the tuned file and one am29f800 programmed with the cars original volvo file, solder one chip on top of the other and switch the CS pin,
you need to have both of the CS pins lifted from the ecu pcb,

lovely car and beautiful numbers, got a 2004 6 speed manual myself with a brs exhaust and tune and it sings like a I5 should in my opinion, only 108k miles (173k km) will be interesting to see what it does with a tune if it can be comparable, as i have not had mine on a dyno, but the tune is promising almost 50hp and almost 100 nm extra. detuned it last weekend for fuel economy reasons as i dont get to use the extra power anyways xD
Awesome stuff! Do you plan on doing other modifications to it like an upgraded intercooler or intake?
poly bushings for the suspension and undercarriage, maybe engine mounts. engine wise i definitely want a upgraded intercooler as they suffer badly from power loss on longer spirited drives. but it's not my project-car by any means, so it will stay as factory "clean" as possible.
My project is actually an 1988 volvo 740 :)

I thought they were 300hp/300lb.ft. stock? The dyno looks really good. If that's stock, I wonder how much drift they get between engines. Like the "gentlemans agreement" in Japan, I wonder if Volvo underquoted the power numbers a bit. Very interesting. The only thing mine has is the last update (software update?) from the dealer which I got "complimentary" when I visited them the one time it was in to see them before I handled everything.

I would guess that on a normal dyno it could make 300 to 320+
Who are you going to have tune it? Hopefully Hilton or Contrast/Urbas tuning. I need to get my SR on a dyno, I have full-bolt ons and a stage 2.5 tune from contrast on swedespeed. The difference is night and day, the cars run 15psi stock, I'm running 22 with the tune. Should be 330+whp according to my MAF readings.

Correct. 3.5” DP and full turboback fell 8Eight fab.

Clean the fuelsystem with an additive, usually gives a good result and is inexpensive.
Make sure you get a Upgraded intercooler. The stock one isn't even good on a stock car
Cheapest one around my area is 28k$... a 2006 model

When I added a bigger downpipe I never noticed any power increase. Can you test on your car? I'd also bet a lighter flywheel adds a bunch of power
I bet the flywheel will help, but not sure about a bunch of power. The single mass flywheel is what's recommended and that's what comes on these cars. That'll be replaced so we'll see!

You tuned your car after the downpipe right? That’s where your power would come from more than anything.

erik litchy that’s why. In fact, there’s a good chance your car is slower right now. I’m assuming you went catless, in which case your O2 sensors would be telling your computer that it’s too hot so you’d be running rich. Plus the tune is really what gets you the power, the downpipe more than anything just helps spool faster
I'm almost wishing I had never got rid of mine.... Then again, it was 3 yrs old, end of warranty and starting to get a succession of increasingly expensive faults!

270 to the ground means you have a very healthy motor. That's less than a 10% driveline loss. Awd cars can easily experience 12 to 15% loss
Hey subbed, love the Volvo. We have a 2.0 turbo supercharged XC90. I think it has about 300hp. WIsh it had a bit more though.

What year is your XC90? The new ones that are super and turbo charged have 316 from factory.

Yeah its a 2017. It's cool but I do feel someone ripped off with only a 2.0 4 banger for all that money. Even though it is quick enough, should offer a bigger engine as well.

In 1994, Volvo shook up the touring car world by enlisting their supposedly-soccer-mom 850 wagon in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC)
Porsche assisted Volvo in the 850 production. I have a '98 V70R. And I can't wait to spec as close as possible to the BTCC standard. There is some M3 killing miles somewhere. Those dyno numbers kinda make wanna hide my face and slouch down in my seat😬😰..... several paychecks in; I'm committed, I have high hopes. Never in a million years would I have thought to mention this... here we go #TEAMVOLVO 🙄🤥
the gray one was an automatic .. think thats the reason it was 20hp less than this one .. 30hp loss in the drivetrain is not too bad, also the inviorment is/can be a factor..

Greetings! Thanks for watching from wayyyyy across the pond. Good point on the auto and the atmospheric differences. The torque difference is really fascinating. 320 on the auto, 298 on the manual. 298 seems like a closer to stock number, but it's still high. I'm really excited to put the tune on and see the differences!

Come on dude, haldex is not a permanent awd. Go for quattro (torsen) or any RWD car ;)
Take t5 engine...throw it into a subaru... Like boostedboiz did with their 2003 imprreza sti k20 turbo swap and still retain sti awd 6 speed drivetrain

Dude, your 270 HP is 193 kW, then v70R stock value is 220kW (308 HP)... So you need turbo repair, not a chip tuning ;)
This is at the wheels. 270 whp. Stock whp should be around 250-260. Stock crank hp is 296 globally for the ‘05 Rs. This car likely now has 310-320 at the crank.

M3 will roast a stock V70R on track and straight line. Tune V70R could beet in straight line. Lets be real, V70R is great daily. M3 is a better sportscar.

Then they need to do some research. Even the manufacturer notes state the same. Approximately 12% difference with the Mustang higher is the accepted norm. Heck, the very first results from a google search say exactly that.
Just realized how I'm saying this. The conversion is inflated so yes the Mustang Dyno READS lower and the ACTUAL value is higher.

I need some more coffee, haha. - Lots of Volvos but never picked up a P2R. With my back, running a clutch can be difficult and I didn't have high hopes for 6speed auto if putting down real numbers. The ol 4 speed slushboxes from the 850s and S/V70 were stout though. Not that an open diff, fwd, autotragic is going to get you hard but once rolling they would scream without much more than a turbo/FMIC/tune. --- Anyways, the big key to trading some of that excess torque that Volvo turbo I5s make always seemed to be exhaust. That luxury car exhaust note works for grandmas brick but really restricts nice numbers. Perhaps the low end grunt is good on the heavier P2s plus awd though?
This makes me hate my 2.4 v70 even more.
