Back in 1977 I bought a 1970 SS Chevelle 396 (402) for only $800. Back in those days there where a lot of 1968 to 1970 SS Chevelle 396's, and 1968 to 1970 Plymouth Road Runners with 383 engines because both the Chevelle SS and Road Runners with 396 and 383 where the poor mans big block muscle car.
RETIRED AND HAVING FUN RESTORING MY LIFE LONG TREASURES. 64 WILDCAT SKYLARK, 69 FIREBIRD 400 4 SP, 65 CHEVY P/UP FIRST YEAR OF OVERDRIVE, 95 CADI ELDO, WATCHING YOU DRIVE AND LOOKS LIKE BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY. GOOD VIDEO THANKS FOR SHARING KID.
That gentleman had a relative that worked for a paint shop and would send these off and have them painted that's why so many of them are sporting fresh paint jobs. The man was a wizard when it came to these cars. So many people have been talking about this auction it was the biggest single collection auctioned off in Idaho to date. Great video.
17:36 That car was in a couple magazines in the 80s and a good friend of mine who passed away 2yrs ago owned it for a while after its magazine days. It resided at Reelfoot lake, Tiptonville, TN at that time. Brings back great memories of a very dear and missed friend. I got my 1st '70 SS 396 4spd Chevelle from him. RIP Leyon. The car is still out there!
Damn that is absolutely amazing. So many nice Chevelles and corvettes. It's hard to believe that stuff still exists. I'm not a convertible fan but I think that black 70 ls6 would be cool if that paint could be preserved. That patina with the faded yellow stripes look good.
I was in idaho about a month ago and wis i could have went to this!! You do a good job on your videos, although i have only watched this one. But i subscribed immediately!!
Had an old neighbor, Old-man Bob was his name... He had a ton of BBC/4-speed Chevelles from 65-70... His back yard was full of old Chevys...trucks, vans & chevelles... over 30 of them on a 1/4 acre lot...!!! It all was sold online after he died...I was addicted to heroin for 22+ years, so I was unable to get any of them...! I'm 70+ months sober now and I'm loving sober life...! I really miss my camaros though, a 79 Z28 with non factory 468cid/th400 straight line car that did low tens... and a 72 SS Camaro with non-numbers matching 350cid/M21 4-speed (orig from factory trans & rearend)... Both were sold for dope basically...!!! I was an idiot, but to all those addicts out there...sobriety isn't as scary as you think...! Sobriety is possible...! I'm the owner of three LLC's currently...! Put the dope down and go get better...! Thanks for showing all these very cool Chevys...! Keep up your awesomeness and go enjoy some nature today...
Love your stuff Dezzy. I'm working on my 73 454 4sp Corvette. Just got done rebuilding my brothers 70 340 for his 70 Challenger. Keep up the great work.
Currently working on 67 Plymouth GTX. Bought it sight unseen but inspected and numerous conversations on ebay. (Before sales guarantee) Got 😂Some pictures. Inspection came back clean so bought and shipped it from Minnesota to S.Carolina. Got screwed big time. Been restoring for 8 years. Got it, everything ripped out of engine bay, left enough for engine to run. Figured out it was dragged. 440 with auto reverse shift. Frame rails had holes the size of grapefruit all throughout.Finished a 66 Dart conv, 82 Monte SS, 69 Road Runner conv w/ 440 4speed. All gone except GTX. Your knowledge of those SS, etc. is impressive.
WOW! That's amazing! That's millions of dollars worth of cars and parts! I've never seen so many Chevelles in one place before! I would love to get my hands on one of those LS6s.
I getting my 1964 Impala SS back together. I had a 2001 LS1 engine installed from a corvette. 4LE60 transmission, Dana 60 rear end posi traction 3:7:3 gears. Ride tech coilover suspension front and rear with front and rear sway bars.

Currently working on my 79 T top Trans Am I've wanted since I was 9. I finally convinced the dude to sell it and it's rough but I'm a stubborn fool. Olds 403 came out of it two months ago and I'm slowly throwing together a Pontiac 400 with a super T10. Can't wait for this thing to come together.
I removed a 2001 Deville Northstar engine from the top to replace the head gasket and stop oil leaks. I just found out yesterday, the engine need new rings and maybe a piston. I bought this car 6 years ago from a police impound for $375. April this year was the first time it would not pass emission.
I think ive been there back in the late 90s the guy was a truck driver, that was his job. he would drive around the country and pick these up on the cheap & restore them, well he had restored a few 60s vetts when i was there. cool place
Great collection of beautiful GM muscle. My first car was a '66 Chevy 2 Nova with a 283. The problem with them is they have a weak front end. Most people who raced them put straight front axles.
