    Best thing about Rav4 is the ergonomics and thats why i chose this over Mazda cx 5. The short armrest, misplaced glass holder etc, placement of phone charger, out of reach placement of infotainment screen makes cx 5 a very difficult proposition. Yes its good lush interior to look at but i'm sure long drives will be much more enjoyable in Rav4 because of the comfort and smart ergonomics.

    I've got a 20 RAV4 XLE. I love everything about it. Material quality and fit and finish are good. The powertrain is great, I think. The acceleration is effortless at all speeds, which isn't something I was expecting coming from a turbocharged vehicle. The only thing I'd want is more sound deadening for road noise. Wind noise and engine noise are non issues.

      I've had it for one year and 2 months now and it currently has 15,000 km on it. I haven't had any mechanical issues or quality/fit and finish issues so far.
      The fuel economy is really good for an AWD crossover. I'm currently averaging 12.3 km/L (29 mpg) and get above 15km/L (35 mpg) on the highway with heating on.
      I think a highway test drive is the best way for you to gauge acceleration and passing power and road noise.

    Got a new 2022 XLE Premium because it checked all my boxes. This is definitely a value for money suv for medium height 1-2 occupants. For us, it didn’t work quite well when we wanted to do road trips with 4 adults + 1 infant.
    It feels cramped when all seats are occupied. Luggage space is adequate for 1-2 people after second row. You will get weird reflection in your side mirrors, and I wasn’t sure how to get rid of it.
    This is probably the best compact suv and value for money. I traded it with a more standard size suv ‘Jeep Grand Cherokee L Overland’ which was twice as costly as my RAV4 and I am in completely love with it but my RAV4 was definitely a smart choice for up to 2 people.

    My point from the previous video remains: If a fully spec Rav4 is around starting price for Lexus UX, then I have no clue who could pick the Lexus over Rav4. Not because it's necessary a better car, a better looking* car, but you get all the options, larger space, similar reliability for the same price. It's a similar "entry level German" price/features vs "full spec US brand" price/features car one might have.

    • @trudinh9951
      @trudinh9951 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lexus are more fine tuned and luxury. You may get more features with a full spec RAV4 compared to a entry Lexus, but there's things that the Lexus offer that isn't on paper, like smooth ride quality, fine tuned engine for smooth driving, quieter cobin, and better interior materials. Also most of the time, people who have the money for a luxury car, won't be settling for a entry version.

    I think most people have become blind to what the purpose of a car even is. It's a vehicle that gets you from A to B, yet here we are as always only mentioning and reviewing the aesthetics and features rather than the physical quality and the dependability of the engine, which is essentially the only commercial Chevy puts out. "All of our vehicles have been rated highest in INITIAL-QUALITY by JD Power for 7 years in a row." Which is BS-speak for "our cars look like their of high quality upon inspection, but after some usage... Ehhhh let's even not talk about that... OH LOOK AT THE LUXURIOUS INTERIOR!"
    The engine should be the first thing to consider, not how the car looks. You sit in it and can't even see the exterior while driving it for Christ sake. It's a superficial thing to worry about. Most people are careful not to ruin their interior but very quickly snap out of it and treat it like anything else they own. And all the fuss about Android Auto... don't kid yourself, you REALLY don't need it. Cars have been around longer than all of us. Pay attention to the road and get to where you're going. You can play with your phone when you arrive at your destination. It's just an f'n car. As long as the engine is reliable, there's AC, a radio and a few charging ports, you're set.
    Sincerely, a 24-year old.

    • @maple_fields
      @maple_fields 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Of course the engine is the most important thing to consider, but given that most problems don't crop up until 5+ years in the car's lifespan, it's kind of hard to talk about it in a review

      In our, not so free, highly regulated country of America, I wish it was illegal to finance vehicles, cash only. Then people would be getting down to the nuts and bolts of the car. But it's not illegal, we're free as long as we wear that seat belt and use that blinker and of course, submit to the State police for approval to purchase a gun. Constitution? What Constitution? Control freak liberals are eating it for lunch, that Constitution.

    Hi @Micah Muzio 🙂. Excellent full review of Toyota's all new RAV4, I'm only 36 yrs old and remember the very first RAV4. It certainly has come a long way, but I'm truly surprised there's no android auto available given it's a 2019 model. I'm thinking about an SUV for my next vehicle if I don't keep my 2014 Jetta, but it's truly the greatest car I've owned plus I'm about 6'3" tall, so my Jetta fits me perfectly. I'm thinking the 2019 RAV4 or Forester would certainly be a big step up. My very first car was a green 1998 Kia Sephia during high school and early college days, so my Jetta is by far the best in regard to reliability and build quality. Happy Thanksgiving friend.

    Have they improved the comfort? Toyota still ranks as TOP as the most uncomfortable seats I’ve ever sat on. Last in one in 2016. There’s no doubt that Toyota is reliable so I’d love to own one, but I can’t get passed the uncomfortable seating.

    Was considering the remodeled rav4 adventure(canadian for trail) model until joining the 2019 rav4 facebook group and reading a lot of owner's having buyer's remorse because the new 8 speed transmission is causing major shifting and jolting problems. Toyota is already working on a new software to change shifting patterns. For me, I'm not willing to buy a vehicle knowing this is an issue and software updates are already being done. I'm also wanting to buy now, so I'm not willing to wait for the 2020 model. I will be going with the 2019 Mazda CX-5.

    Had a 2013, loved it. Great bang for the buck then. Not so much now, price and trim levels have multiplied, and not for the better. Also, 2018 version had a POOR rating in iihs small overlap for passenger...that is simply unacceptable and the primary reason I won't be replacing mine with this. CX5, Tuscon, and Sportage all get Good ratings and have for a few years... leaning Tucson SEL at just under 25k, it has so many more features than the base Rav...that costs more.

    In my P.O., this vehicle has become too fancy and too expensive through the years. I'm sure they have improved many things, but it lost that cool "off-roady-Jeep-like" look it had with the rear tire on the back (last seen in 2012). I wanted a bigger car than what I had and decided to buy a manual Subaru Crosstrek instead of this...and I am SOOOOO Happy! > Hey!, at least this Rav4 doesn't have a CVT!
