This is what I want more of. Every glitch video repeats the same glitches over and over again. They usually pick the "most exciting ones". No, please show me some less exciting ones, because the most exciting ones are no longer exciting.

Well competitive play in Melee is a glicth like L-Canceling, Wave Dash etc because Sakurai said so and reason he removed them in Brawl.
@@MERCHIODOS Neither of those things are glitches and Sakurai didn't say that. L-cancelling is literally an intended mechanic meant to make shielding after aerials easier. People just use it in a different way. And wavedashing wasn't intentionally programmed, but Sakurai found it before Melee released and left it in the game intentionally because he thought it was fine.
He removed them from brawl because melee was too competitive.
Same! I was expecting a "Melee is a glitchy game held together by duck tape and sucks" video, and was thoroughly and pleasantly surprised to see it being a video about actual glitches!

But that doesn't make it less of a glitch. You're basically doing the meme "it's not a bug, it's a feature".

I think it's because the game released in 2001 and Nintendo doesn't care about patching melee at this point
@@zath4 no, it's a disc from 2001, and internet wasn't around as much as it is now, so GameCube had no internet. No day one updates, no patches. Unlike the stupid switch.

I remember doing the black hole glitch with my cosuins in high school and and we all screamed when we got it to work. ah fond memories
Fun fact: Smash 64 does recognize the "side special" input as a separate input, it's just that it's programmed to do the same thing as the neutral special input - Master Hand being the sole exception.

It’s interesting to think that Melee came before the days of game patches and software updates. These days, if there’s weird glitches, they can easily be fixed long after initial launch.

Although, online patching. Melee still got patches, but you would have to buy another disc to get the patch.
There's also a version of the Master Hand glitch that only requires 1 controller. The downside is that you have to delete almost all your custom names until you have exactly one left. It's still difficult but significantly more convenient to pull it off this way, plus this way you can also use it beat certain Event Matches that let you choose your character.

I remember freaking out about the Master Hand Glitch! It felt so epic to beat Event 50 and 51 so effortlessly!
(1:45) I think it's actually due to the egg Kirby lays is actually growing in size when released, but if mashed out too early, will interrupt the growing. Something the regular Yoshi egg doesn't do. If your description were true, then you shouldn't need to have Kirby. Also, what if this was used on a third character?

Also wow this is fricken crazy man I didn't know any of these glitches existed holy crap!! However, I won't do these glitches myself because there's a great chance they might crash the game but it's still pretty cool to learn about them for sure. Although I think I have heard of the Black Hole Glitch, I just haven't seen it in action yet but now I have and man is it fricken crazy!!

You know you can do the Super Scope Glitch just by doing the Infinite Super Scope glitch with the Ice Climbers and have Peach throw turnips into it, right? It only requires two controllers, and could even theoretically be done with one person without rubber bands.
(Shout-outs to DyllonStej Gaming, whose video demonstrating this is the only reason I know it works).
About the Master Hand glitch, if you say that P3 is for it and P4 is for Crazy Hand, does that mean there is a variation with P4 to let us play with Crazy Hand too?
I've never seen that method of the black hole glitch. I know it as as having Mr. Game and Watch catching three PK Fires in his bucket and then he can kill at any damage percent.
There is a version of the black hole glitch that can be done with 2 controllers, the setup requires the infinite super scope but choose the Ice Climbers and both need a infinite super scope, just jump to de synchronized their moves and create a continue line in where Peach can throw the turnips

@@leahluostarinen Pretty much every game on a system that didn't use patches wound up with bugs and glitches of some sort. How useful they are varies from game to game, but they are there.

Nice vid! I have one question though, so I have melee on my computer but my computer only has two ports which means I can't play as master hand, is there a fix to this like another way to get my controller to port 3 or 4 without more ports??
The solution is to stop being a pirate and actually buy a legitimate copy with either a used GameCube or Wii.

@@ShadowWing04 Then play that version, and you'll have the extra controller ports necessary to do the glitch. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure you can't do it on your emulated version.
thanks for letting me know, at least I got giga bowser on the computer and master hand on my game cube, but crazy hand still remains impossible (for me)

Mr. Game & Watch is a final unlockable character that can be unlocked by completing Classic Mode, Adventure Mode or Target Test with 25 characters like Bowser, Captain Falcon, Donkey Kong, Dr. Mario, Falco, Ganondorf, Ice Climbers, Jigglypuff, Kirby, Link, Luigi, Mario, Marth, Mewtwo, Peach, Pichu, Pikachu, Roy, Samus, Yoshi, Young Link and Zelda/Sheik.
I remember the black hole glitch fondly as my high school friends and I kept messing around with it. I also had an Action Replay meaning we were able to access and mess around with the debug menu, including playing unintended stages and characters as well as almost wiping my entire memory card.
