I think I felt a bit of my soul leave my body hearing Brawl is 15 years old.
Right? It’s crazy how fast time goes. This year will also be the 5th anniversary of Smash Ultimate, 10th anniversary of Super Mario 3D World, 15th anniversary of Mario Kart Wii, 20th anniversary of Mario Kart Double Dash, and the 25th anniversary of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I will be making more videos for all of these game anniversaries this year too.

It didn't release in 1981. It released in 2008. Smash didn't even exist back then. We were still kids(or in my case not born yet)at that time.
I know so that means 2008 was 15 years ago… and 2005 was 18 years ago now??

That feeling when Brawl being fifteen years old means your age has doubled.
Here's a fun fact I discovered back in 2009 but didn't have internet to let people know about it: If Ganondorf activates his Final Smash when he is within the very fine line between being too far off the stage to be seen in a magnifying glass but not so far that he goes past a blast line to be KO'd, the sound of his Final Smash will play, but the animation will not and Ganondorf will be intangible for the remainder of the match and pretty much cease to exist.

That’s pretty interesting! I had no idea. Final Fantasy has some really amazing and epic music, so I’m not surprised to hear it’s the same composer as who did the Smash Brawl theme. Thanks so much for sharing!

Brawl was the first time Samus had voice acting in the sense that it’s the first time an actor said full sentences as her, but it’s not the first time an actor vocally portrayed Samus, that’s Metroid Prime iirc, where she grunted when jumping or taking damage

@@DomGames_1, you're welcome!😊Y'know, a lot of people say that "Melee" is the best "Smash Bros." game or that "Ultimate" is the best "Smash Bros." game, but I think there are a lot of reasons why "Brawl" is actually the best "Smash Bros." game (that doesn't include nostalgia), and the story is one of them. Along with the music, "The Subspace Emissary" is the main reason why I love "Brawl" so much. It has good gameplay (WAY better than "World of light"), a surprising story (also WAY better than "World of light"), the best graphics (when it comes to the characters), and SO much more. Not to mention that "Brawl's" MARVELOUS music is superior to any other "Smash Bros." music (in my opinion, of course). Idk, it's just one of those games you just can't top.
Yeah, the Subspace Emissary was so cool! I liked World of Light for sure, but I was missing all those fun character interactions. I definitely enjoyed the story in Subspace a lot more. There were loads of amazing cutscenes and fun character interactions we’ve never seen before. And I couldn’t agree more on the music. The main theme for Smash Brawl and for Subspace was pretty epic for sure!
@@DomGames_1, honestly, in my opinion, the cutscenes in "The Subspace Emissary" was actually better than the gameplay itself. Don't get me wrong, "Brawl's" gameplay was amazing! But like you said, the character interactions were SO fun to watch. It was like watching a "Super Smash Bros." movie (because it was kind of like a movie with all those cutscenes). Also, I agree that the main theme for "Brawl" was pretty epic. But I got to say, my favorite music in "Brawl" has got to be the "Trophy Gallery." My second favorite music in "Brawl" is definitely the "Sticker Album/Album/Chronicle." And my third favorite music in "Brawl" is the Resting Area" in All-Star mode.
Correction with the first fact:
Plusle and Minun are not actually characters in Brawl. You’re trying to refer to the file name which is Pra Mai. According to Aaronitmar, Pra Mai is Japanese for Every Player, which means either the Miis (Which were scrapped btw), or a file name for the random button on the Character Select Screen
Another thing is that if Plusle and Minun were actual characters, then there would be a file for both, as Pra Mai is just one file

Plusle and Minum weren't part of the Forbidden 7. People got that from the data set for "pra_mai" in Brawl's code but Popo and Nana are stored as separate characters, not 1 Ice Climbers file. It was most likely the Miis instead. Plus Took Sheik was probably Tetra

No, they were. The Miis were considered to be in Ultimate, but were cut early into development.
I know they never updated Snake's codecs because the Japanese voice actor for the Colonel died, but surely if they didn't want to replace him they could have just relied on Otacon and Mei Lin.
There's some debate about if the Smash Bros fic might still be the longest because the "longer" one, a Loud House fanfic, reuses long sections and apparently uses outside quotes for long stretches.

Yeah, user @Byleth956 brought this to my attention as well. After looking into it a little deeper I learned that the cat is actually a mystery, and only speculated to be Sakurai’s.

Oh darn, haha! Don’t feel bad, there’s quite a few characters in the roster. It can be hard to recall who exactly was part of each game.
We all remember Brawl for the Cross-Over aspect and story mode but also for Machinima, Modding Community and the Base-Breaking. For me, the most memorable part, even if I don't play the game, it's Meta Knight, the most broken according to competitive scene, the best we ever had and the ban (which, didn't happened actually).
Also, being on a casual console, the graphic and theme are impressive! Even Mario Striker Charged Football is on the same scale. With family-friendly characters! That's should tell something!
Consider that a Zelda Game receives patch but Brawl doesn't makes me believe it was mean to be the last game of the series.
There wouldn't be another game like Brawl.

When talking about why Wolf was added to Brawl, Sakurai said:
“For Krystal, we didn’t have any of the modeling knowledge that we had cultivated with Fox and Falco, so it was like making a brand-new character from scratch. And because of the limited amount of time we had, creating Krystal wasn’t realistically possible. On that point, with Wolf we already have some knowledge of how to model his character, and would require about 70% of the effort required to create a whole new character.”
They also wanted to give Krystal an original move set, but due to the lack of time and limited knowledge on how to model the character as Sakurai stated, it was just easier to create Wolf and have him act as a sorta Echo fighter or clone of Fox and Falco with similar moves.

And thanks for the suggestion! You’re right, my audio isn’t exactly ideal yet. Admittedly, I just use the little microphone on my cheap Apple earbuds. If I keep making videos, I will eventually invest in better equipment. For example, I use to literally use my iPhone to record gameplay 😂 I didn’t want to invest in anything expensive right away. But since I kept making videos I eventually bought a proper video capture card. Getting a proper legit microphone is the next step, and it is starting to make its way up my list of priorities.

I hope my comment didn't come off as too negative because I actually really loved the video, especially having grown up with Brawl (only a year and a half older than it though). A lot of people trash it for being different but I think we should look past that and acknowledge that it's packed with as much cool stuff as the others (if not more).

Aw man! You should get a Wii U in that case, since Wii games are backwards compatible with the Wii U. That way, you can have a bigger library of games from two different systems.
