Help me
I think I'm falling
In love again
When I get that crazy feeling
I know I'm in trouble again
I'm in trouble
Cause you're a rambler and a gambler
And a sweet taIking ladies man
And you love your lovin'
But not like you love your freedom
Help me
I think I'm falling
In love too fast
It's got me hoping for the future
And worrying about the past
"Cause I've seen some hot hot blazes
Come down to smoke and ash"
We love our lovin'
But not like we love our freedom
Didn't it feel good
We were sitting there talking
Or lying there not talking
Didn't it feel good
You dance with the lady
With the hole in her stocking
Didn't it feel good
Didn't it feel good
Help me
I think I'm falling
In love with you
Are you going to let me go there by myself
That's such a lonely thing to do
Both of us flirting around
Flirting and flirting
Hurting too
We love our lovin'
But not like we love our freedom

Man, what a voice! All hers, no auto tune for her!
Joni Mitchell a true Canadian icon/legend. 🇨🇦
I remember listening to this in the car at an early age on AM radio over and over and over and over and over and over again
Right there with ya man we only had AM in the VW bug Killer tune
Then steely Dan came in with FM

The irony is she’s one of the greatest musicians/writers in popular music history, yet she’s always seen herself as a painter first. She has indicated in interviews that music was never intended to be her calling. It was just a medium for artistic expression, and when it took off for her, it was just a means to an end.
Joni Mitchell is an terrific artist, in any medium. Sometimes she paints a picture on a canvas, and sometimes she uses sound.
This is from the Court and Spark album. Every song on that album is a gem. You should listen to the who album.
In this song she showed you a couple of times Graham Nash, her then lover from Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. Joni broke some hearts but was genuine about the songs and experiences that painted her portrait. Hard to find anyone who was as gifted an artist as Joni. Listen to Blue, her album that was listed by Rolling Stone magazine as the 4th best album ever created. Her magnum opus. She made my time in life a better time to live. I have listened to her for decades.
GREAT song! Even that dissonant horn embellishment is killer!
Joni has the perfect hippie chick look, you can tell she wasn't a poser she was genuine.
Graham Nash is in the pictures; he and Joni were a big item for awhile. He wrote "Our House" about their relationship. She did the cover of Crosby, Stills, and Nash's "So Far" greatest-hits album.
Joni's most personal song is "Little Green", about the daughter she gave up for adoption. Later, they were reunited.
FYI - the guy in many of the pictures is Graham Nash (of Crosby, Stills and Nash)
Came to your channel for the Joni reactions... You folks did well with this one. Please do more, as Joni has a very broad and deep oeuvre!
I was 14 when I first heard this song and it is one of my favorite songs to this day. Your fire graphics over the outro brought me to tears. PERFECT!!!!!
And she is an amazing Artist/Painter, most of her album covers were painted by her.
Love Joni Mitchell
What a great song. I remember this like it was yesterday. Music is a time machine that takes you back to the time in your life when a certain song was popular. Early 70s I think. That's so cool!
Thanks guys.
Time machine I love that
I was 17 when this song came out.. Back in the 70s they call her a folk artist. I would lable her as a jazzist! And she loved Miles Davis
Love watching you two. Your faces are a-glow with joy and appreciation. And your comments are all on point.
Well done! 👌💜
❤️ Great album ❤️
And the band! My god!
I’m glad I got to shook the drummers hand once! 🥁
Shake , not shook ☺️
Tom Scott and the LA Express provided back up on the album and touring dates I believe.
Just an amazing talent.
Reminds me of my Ma❤❤❤❤❤
I think you hit it spot on when you said her songwriting is like reading her diary. All of her songs that I can think of have that autobiographical feel expressing her inner self in her poetry. Have you listened to "Both Sides Now" one of her early masterpieces with insightful lyrics and beautiful melodies. So many more songs of hers for you to discover. You're in for a treat.
Love your smiles and enjoying the song
Watch her live bbc with song California just amazing
Thanks , Curt G..Great tune and the crew is starting to really dig her , it looks like
You guys should do California by Joni, especially the live version. She is a painter, and it looks like she's painting when she plays
This song is great. The band playing on this track, that was also her touring band at the time, is Tom Scott & The LA Express. That smoothly funky jazz groove really gives exactly the right feelgood vibe to the track! The LA Express have some great Jazz fusion albums of their own. Well worth checking out. Good point about how Joni's music often feels like a glimpse into her diary. It's that personal.
You are the cutest couple in reaction videos
Ya'll gotta hear Chaka Kahn's cover of this song, she did as a tribute to Joni on her 75th birthday.......
You guys are the best!
"Court And Spark" also has "Car on a Hill', "Trouble Child", "Free Man In Paris", and Joni's cover of Lambert, Hendricks, and Ross's "Twisted", featuring Cheech and Chong.
Sort of a disco switch after her hippie hits and yes you are right on about a great describer of her times. Free Love!
You guys are great! I really, REALLY enjoy your energy for all genres of music. God Bless you guys!!!!
Love how much you appreciate her! (Yes. We are are listening to her diary...and our diaries.)
Check out her song
BOTH SIDES
Court And Spark (1974)
Play the "Hejira" album (1976), with "Coyote" and "Refuge of the Roads". Jaco Pastorius is on fretless bass.
This is one of the Best reaction channell on.
You guys are awesome and i am an ol hippie keep it resl. ✌🏼🤘🏼😎
JM, female JC.
Recorded with Tom Scott and the L.A. Express. Joni had moved past her "hippie chick" phase.
Joni's Canadian, but this song just screams California.
She's in trouble because she is falling in love with a player.
Change your name to "The Coyote HunterZ"...check out her catalog, you'll see what I mean!
Some times ya get married
I used to listen to this a lot when I was young, not because I liked it but because it was played constantly. I think her label was slipping the green to stations everywhere. I mean it's not a sing-along song, it's not something you would dance to. Joni's voice is all this song had going for it yet it was played constantly.
Taylors Grandmama
Don't cut off the song.
10 seconds in and I can't stand these two
Your intro sucks compared to Joni Mitchell
