Like the video mate! You should know one thing. for 40 pounds, you bought a non st shocks, which are really comfortable, but if you drive sometimes a bit faster, the handling will be terrible. All aftermarket shocks/ springs got all the part number they fit by size and dimension, but never count the stiffness. I made the same mistake with my front shocks. The price always tells you it is really match with the original ST suspension characteristic. If you see the part number from 1.0-1.2-1.4 fiesta aswell on the box, those are definetely not st shocks (my front oem was 110 pounds, the real st spec was 270, and the handling like night and day....)
It’s something I’ve always overlooked but OEM ones are fairly cheap and make the car so much more comfortable. Might do the fronts as well see if that makes any difference
Oem shocks are fine replaced mine with Sachs from euros I’ve sussed that the seat belt mechanisms in the back rattle a lot after taking everything out of the boot spare wheel jack etc 👍
@@MendItModIt Yeah mine was so much better with the new shocks it was just one side that was knackered which seems even worse lol.. I’ve the whiteline arb on the back which stiffens the ride really well and 15mm hub spacers bit of a mission to fit but worth it 👍
It does sound so much better. Glad your rattly rear end is sorted 😂😂
Me too, nothing worse than something being loose at the back 😂

I did a similar mistake by using cheap Kayaba Excel-G on ST. Handling was terrible. Happy to replace it with Bilstein B6. Much better.
Those dust covers though 😅. Great video man
Nice video! Really explained how to replace the shocks well. The ST is looking good as well now, love the new colour 👌
Thanks mate. They make the world of difference, I bet they’ve never been changed
Another great video 👍
Nice one mate about to do mine forgot to get those dust caps also
Got this to do on mine soon but failed the mot on a rear brake pipe so need to get that done first. Great video 👍👍👍
Oh no, is it the bit by the caliper that you can just replace or will you need to have new lines made up?
@@MendItModIt yep that’s the one but have tho kit to do it luckily. Will get it done over the weekend
@@Robstacey82 I had to make up brake lines on my Honda, it’s a satisfying thing to be able to do but it makes me nervous because it’s brakes 🥴😂
@@MendItModIt ha ha yeah I know what you mean my dads a retired mechanic so ill get some help hopefully 🙏🤣
Had exactly the same problem with my fiat Punto evo tried everything but the shocks then eventually the shocks and sorted 👍

any chance of a link where you got the shocks from for that cheap?
Did you do the bolts on the top mount and shock to spec or did you just send it with the wrench and ugga dugga? Great video as always 👌
hey guys. does anyone know the size of the lower bolt? TIA
Did you use threadlock? If not have you had any issues with the bolts coming loose?
Nah none mate

They’ve made the car so much more comfortable! The clamp holding my spare down was rusty and snapped 😩

@@trickym5748 I want the whiteline arb really bad. 15% off at the minute too but it’s not a priority at the moment 😢
@@MendItModIt think I paid nearly £200 for it 2 years ago
@@MendItModIt I want to change the rear axle bushes for poly bushes like you’ve done next
