There are only very few TH-cam videos that show the details of how car systems work in detail. And yours is the best of them all. Keep up this good quality content.
This is well done and easy to digest even for non car guys or beginners. I would also like to add Torsion Bar rear suspension, it's also a non independent suspension common in economy cars. The torsion bar also acts as an anti roll bar but most of the time it is tuned for comfort. The design is simple and cheap to make also there is rarely a way to adjust the wheel alignment for such suspension.
The kind you're talking about acts as the anti-roll bar but not as the springs. The cars I'm aware of that have it use coil springs, not torsion bars. A true torsion bar suspension is found on the front of Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth rear-drive cars from the '60s to the '80s.
Yes, probably you refer to semi-independent suspension which is very popular today because its simplicity ,low cost and almost independent suspension. I have a car with this type of suspension and I am very satisfied with the behavior of the car.
Well done, thanks for making suspension easier to understand. The video was very detailed (if a little disorganised in places). This presentation would really step up a class with the addition of 2 concepts in the English language: - the definite and indefinite article needs to be added (“the” & “a”). Example: “the tyre” for a specific tyre, “a tyre” for any tyre. - plurals: most English words add an “S” at the end when referring to multiples. Example: “cats” is plural, “cat” is singular. However some words are both plural and singular. Example “sheep” or “fruit”. English is hard - but I really appreciate you translating so I can understand your video.
Judging by the sound artifacts in some phonyms and the fact that many videos on many channels have been using the exact same voice recently, I'm pretty sure that this is a robot voice. Still informative !
Luv this kind of stuff,,,, very helpfully informative & enlightening. Really, it is a must for motor vehicle owners in knowing that vehicle. Keep up your good work.👍✔️
Explanation was high level but it could easily understand by a beginner. I really thankful to this video and concept of types of suspensions used in cars. Thank you.
This is the best tutorial in suspension I ever had...... sooo...knowing the Citroèn AIR SUSPENSION...I’d say.....AIR SUSPENSION IS THE BEST SUSPENSION SISTEM EVER...in my experience...🤨✊🙏
Awesome video! Everything was easy to understand and simple for the average person. One suspension system I would have liked to be included is the “i-beam” with is like a solid axle but a little different.
Thanks for explaining suspension system in simple way. Now a days Twist beam rear suspension is commonly used in cars and small SUV. Same need to be included.
Well done, thank you for the videos it has simplified my lecture in the class, and students are really enjoying the film during lessons time and it has made them to understand it clearly during explanations. Thank you very much be blessed Keep your work on.
Superb presentation and very educational. The graphics, photography, format and core teaching are seminal, which makes the poor computerised English and syntax easily forgiven because the overall instructional video is truly excellent.
Very nice. We are very happy to know suspension system. Please show and explain us all over knowledge about suspension system and show test of famous cars company's suspension position after loading full passengers and luggage.
Cool video 🤘🏼!! Also add Citroen 2cv type suspension system .. even that is very innovative made for farm land and still carry a bag of eggs without breaking it ..
I love your videos sir. ...... I have been always fascinated by your videos the way you teach and animate is to the next level...and the topics are really really good and important
Perfect analysis, thank you! Just a question: if you add a spring spacer at the springs of a torsion beam (in order to raise the ride height at the back), do you affect the spring preload?
The suspense is real in this vid

He did happen to mention it at 3:20, and I completely agree! This made it way easier to understand.

*tortion BEAM, not tortion bar (which is a whole different thing).
