Glad i'm not the only one who loved this game!
The friendship system only upgrades the buffs that each class provides, you know the percentage boost for specific attributes based on what class your allies mobile suit is.
Personally, i main Gundam Alex, that MS is underrated as hell!
Honestly the story aspect actually kept me pretty interested, i love the idea of a soldier being caught up in this plot revolving around the entire Gundam Universe, i love when Gundam games let you play as a soldier in the story, it's a big reason i love Federation vs Zeon, there's so much potential for a Gundam Game to use this idea more, so it's a real shame that it hasn't really happened yet, this game is definitely the best execution of the concept even giving you dialogue choices(even if they are purely cosmetic), but there's still a lot of room for improvement. I think the ending goes harder than it ever had any right to, a mere GM absolutely DOMINATING the Gundam of Gundams formed from the data of the entire Universe of Gundam with the game's opening in the background, it's cliché as hell, but i can't say it didn't hype me the hell up, maybe i just have low standards for a good story, but i'll admit I cared more about it than i had any right to, even if most of it is pure fan-service material.
It's not the best game out there, but it hooked me into Gundam as soon as I played it.
And that's perfectly fine, as long as you are enjoying your experience with your game, that's all that matters 👍 it's a solid game in my eyes
I love this game. Initially I wasn’t a fan of the SD look, but given the limited offerings for Gundam on next gen consoles I gave it a try. I have to say the suit designs grew on me to the point where I love them and ordered a bunch of NXEDGE Style figures. I’m loving going through and unlocking and upgrading suits.
Same here bro, this being the only Gundam on Xbox made me deal with the sd look, but it grew on me & now i don't mind it at all - it's actually pretty cool & i also ended up ordering some sd models online as well 😅
This game really hits the spot when you're waiting for Gundam Breaker 4 to launch or at least have a western beta period.
I need more g wing suites. Only 2 was a let down. There was more money to be made with a English pack and more character packs. Fun game but there could have been more
Odd to see a late review of this game however glad you enjoyed it. Unfortunately, lots of missed potential here. They should have kept releasing DLC characters to keep people coming back. I really wanted to use the grunt suits (GMs especially). Everyone wants a gundam game like the old PS1 era (Journey to Jaburo, etc) but that will never happen. There is no money to be made with those types of games. People just can't accept the fact that gaming has shifted into the mobile style era (Pay to win).
Thanks for watching, just like talking about games I liked/played. As far as what they did with the game, I think they handled it well enough with what they had to work with
I wouldn't say mobile style lol, that's just the way things have been for awhile. But we still have those fun AA/B list games (which is not a bad thing). It's just tricky trying to handle licensing and certain IPs nowadays
Good review, I would suggest you put a music back track to your videos. The video was edited together well and enjoyed the highlights. Altho I'm very sad I can't play as devil Gundam XD
appreciate the sentiment, and yeah it would've been cool if there was some raid boss mode where you play the giant boss fighting other players; they had something like that in Gundam Versus
i wish for a super robot wars game like this... i do not like gundam at all (but i have the game and dlcs) lot of fun
that would be nice although pretty hard to think about getting, at least for the west anyway 😅but nice to know you've found some enjoyment with the game. hopefully it provided "some" enjoyment from the Gundam franchise for you at least a little bit
I actually enjoy the game, I got the deluxe edition for cheap on Xbox and got the airel dlc
It feels nice, we need more simple AA/B list games like these (which we have been getting lately). Just playing and enjoying your time 👍

Good video. I personally am very dissapointed in this game because after playing the fantastic SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays with 400+ units and a vast customization, seeing this game being a weird action game with only 80 units and poor customization is just sad. Not saying the game is bad, just a dissapointment. Still waiting for a new game like Cross Rays.
i wish cross rays went to switch.

A gem? Idk man its really decent. Thats about the best I can say. Its not deep enough on any level to warrant the grind for getting all the suits. They nerfed boss difficulty which was the best part, and turned the entire game trivial for me. I liked my time, but wouldn't go back. I wish they'd just go all out on a gundam game for once
and that's fine, totally justified. I don't usually mind stuff like this but that's just me
