The Rebirth love is so good to see, if it doesn’t win game of the year that will simply just be criminal. Unless they do some DLC’s can win now because Erdtree is valid.
Fallout 4 was easily my favorite fallout game. Combat is sooo addicting and I love how they made looting so much easier... To the point that I can't go back to fallout 3 or NV. Great video!
Went back and did another playthrough of Cyberpunk after the game got revamped. The game wasn’t too buggy for me when I first played it so I still enjoyed it but holllllyyy shit was it amazing on my new playthrough. Did all the side quests and really explored the builds and it became one of my favorite games. Genuinely believe the next Cyberpunk will be one of the best games of all time if its like this one but better.
Sadly, it doesn't work that way anymore. These days, developers put out a half completed title, charge full price, and then you get the rest of the game slowly added via updates and dlc 🤷♂️
@@LynxStarAuto dont blame devs dude its the company in productions when a game is rushed its the company the company rushed a cyberpunk game while they were still in like alpha
I’m so glad I played it for about 45 minutes maybe 6 months after launch. Wasn’t bad, just didn’t grab me, so I decided to pick it up upon the final patch. One of the best experiences I’ve had gaming
Xenoblade chronicles trilogy are my absolutely one of the best story ever told. Many people already said these games are shit because it is anime. Man it is sad they miss these gems, i really love these stories even more than RDR2 and TLOU. By the way i don't think you'll love Xenoblade 2 DLC because the game force you to do a ton of side quest in order to get to final dungeon. But Xenoblade 3 DLC fixes this issue and the ending explained what is really happened on the Base game's ending. They are worth a try if you want a complete experience.
I definitely recommend Ys 8 and 9. They're my third and fourth favorite Ys games, respectively, after The Oath in Felghana and Origin. I'm not sure if it counts since it's a remaster of a PS2 game, but Odin Sphere Leifthrasir is another spectacular Action JRPG that I can't recommend enough.
I always appreciate some Xenoblade love. Easily the best trilogy of games I've played maybe ever. Although they are indeed connected to each other, just not in the typical way that you would expect. 3's DLC definitely answers a lot of questions
Nioh 2 is so damn good!!! Everything bro said about it was accurate. Looks fine, story fine, this and that is fine, some things are below and some things are better than, but the combat is so damn good! Especially for those of us that find From Soft games to be clunky. Don't even get me started on Nier.. It's legit one of my all time favorites. Nice video man
I love RPGs I just don’t have time to play more than one or two a year and it’s been all turn based lately. I really want to try the xenoblade chronicles games. I’ll try to make a concrete plan to play them
It definitely wasn’t a huge disappointment, but I will say there are many issues plot wise and feels extremely rushed towards the end. Gameplay is very fun though and the remind DLC is really good
i can't lie, i think the replicant remake is quite a bit better than automata. ending e in replicant is probably my favourite section of any game. it's incredible
I wish I could enjoy the Witcher games. I've tried multiple times and I just can't get into them. I think its the combat that puts me off, but whatever it is, it makes me sad I can't enjoy them like literally everyone else does.
I wouldn't be able to rank and compare these games together. They're all so different. I don't mind comparing JRPG and Western, but in my personal logs, Action RPG has been that you're roleplaying a specific role/character with a linear path (Xenoblade, Nier, Spiderman, God of War, FF...) I keep them separate to open world RPGs (Witcher, Zelda, Fallout, Cyberpunk) and souls-like, well I don't consider them an RPG and I just keep them in their own category. So for me Nier would've been my top Action RPG (haven't played FF yet). But hey, it's your list, your metrics.
Also, play Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice if you like FromSoftware’s action role-playing games. I know it is just an action game, but it kind of share the same philosophy and DNA from Dark Souls trilogy and Bloodborne.
Nioh's combat is funner than Dark Souls combat, but Dark Souls is overall better cuz it has the best exploration, bosses, enemy variety, and I just like the way Dark Souls looks more. Dark Souls combat is kinda basic, but it kinda works.
Basic? That's like pro gamer basic. Casual and non gamer people would find it complex. Something with basic combat would look like sonic that has auto combos or Streets of Rage
@@MaxRamos8 that's honestly a great way to looks at it. you are just dodging and hitting, no extra attacks or powers, but the focus of timing and strategy give it some depth.
@@MaxRamos8 It's still basic, we are talking about Action RPG's not simply games. In the same way a quarterstaff is a basic melee weapon. By your logic a quarterstaff is a complex weapon to the average person. The average person can't properly utilize a quarterstaff as a weapon. However, it's still a basic weapon. It in and of itself is simple. Just because it might be easy to use for a "pro" that doesn't make the weapon any less basic when you compare it Nunchucks or even a Mace. You mentioning sonic is like bringing an AK into a conversation about melee weapons. For an *Action* game Dark Souls combat is basic. It might not be easy to beat the game but that doesn't make the core gameplay any less simple. When you compare it to Nioh it's like comparing a stick to a twinblade. Nioh's combat has way more than Dark Souls(that doesn't make it any better or worse). If a casual/non gamer finds DS combat complex then Nioh's combat would be well above convoluted. In reality DS is basic, LoP or BB is complex and Nioh is convoluted.
I'd argue Monster Hunter is better as a single player game for the same reasons soloing bosses in Souls games feels better than summoning people or NPCs. It's a dance between you and the monster. No weird unpredictable aggro, no getting hit by a tail because the monster attacked someone else. You can predict what the monster will do and you get a lot better as a player.
Cmon man if not for Xenoblade I played every game here. Concrete, I would put Starfield tbh, not perfect but with the best shooting for Bethesda, great main missions, looting everything, good staff. Rise of the Ronin I played for 20 hours so far and I can say it's pretty great. Dragon's Dogma 2 was disappointing for me. How I would rank those in the list I guess. 1. Elden Ring (Best game of all time) 2. DS3 (Best Sours game) 3. Bloodborne (Hardest game I ever finished) 4. FF Rebirth (Currently playing, Incredible) 5. Nioh 2 (Spectacular game) 6.
