There should be laws against companies setting a 90 day notice period. It seems like companies have deliberately designed this to prevent employees from leaving when they want.

So if u join today then start preparing within 3 months , as probation is upto 6 months , so even the companies are wary of making u permanent. Its a no trust pact both ways . Why doesn't India have strict employee laws like European countries?
    🤔
The government can mandate employee laws such as maximum 30 days notice.
Where are employees being taken for granted and exploited unlike European countries?

    • @theCorporateDiaries

I was in Capgemini and work timings was from 8am to 10pm in the night.
The team lead would call at 11pm and talk till 2am saying its a team call.
1 to 1.45pm was a break but someone who talk in the meeting after 1pm and others had to pay a price.
No breaks in between and being on camera was always mandatory during team meetings
All this was justified saying its client's requirements.
Manager used beep words and used her gender as victim card.
2 of my team mates committed suicide because they of such toxic manager.
This doesn't happen in France or Germany.
In fact Germany regulates 35 hour work week.
Netherlands is the best where employees work for 6 hours a day and 4 days a week.
Despite all this they get universal quality healthcare and education.
Employee burnout is on the rise in India and the government must step in before its too late.
The rent in bangalore has risen from 25k to 65k in last decade but the salary of IT fresher stays the same at 3lpa.

I have resigned from my Current organization and there i have 90 days of notice period. In the offer letter (from the current organization) it was mentioned that if i am unable to serve the notice period then i can pay to company and get the relieving. In the offer letter it was also mentioned that If the exigencies of work so require, the company may not relieve earlier than the expiry of the entire period of notice. It shall, however, be open to the company to accept your resignation with effect from any date earlier than the one offered by me in my resignation letter. The company shall at all times retain the right to exercise waiver of notice period. The Company in such situation may choose to pay salary till the last working day of the employee.
Now i want early relieve as the new offer is very good and i don't want to loose the offer. My current organization is not ready to match my new offer. I have made several follow ups with my reporting manager and HRBP team but not getting any proper responses.
What should I do now ?

I only signed an NDA from acquiring company which doesn't say anything about policy. I spoke about this with HR but he is not accepting and forcing 90 days of notice. What can I do? Hi Madam, I have question,
if company not paying salary on time to time and we have 3 months pending salaries, That time also do we have to work for notice period after resignation? Or we can stop immediately?
Because I don't want to continue for next month salary already pending 3 monts so notice period will not be applicable. Can I reply them like this? Even I keep working 10 day's. Thats enough I requested my side handing over. Thats more than enough I think. I should be complain in labor courts actually but I don't want to broke conversations between me and company. I want to finish friendly. Also if I continue for more 15 days my one year will be completed so they have to pay my one month more leave salary also am I right? So bypassing that, I should stop immediately 😢. Another thing They aplied us freezone viza which is not good and can be cancel immediately.
    Please advise me.
    Thanks Regards,

It would take a divine intervention for Indian companies to reduce their unscrupulous 90 day notice period. Don't understand what exactly they are trying to achieve in those 90 days?
First of all mostly there is no KT given. Any new joiner is forced to learn everything by himself/herself in the team.
Next, with an oversupply of talent in an overpopulated country, I don't understand why would any company need 90 days to fill a position?
The 90 days notice is actually hurting the companies more than the employees. Candidates are getting ample time to prepare thoroughly for multiple interviews, and are able to bag multiple offers. Companies are getting the shocker of no-show by candidates at the nth moment, and it's hurting their own commitments to the projects
So what exactly are companies playing at here?

Like if we say to HR that I am serving my notice period without resigning the position and saying like after 30 days my working day. is it ok?
Because on behalf of resigning HR schedule the interview.

Why dosent the labor department make the max notice period as 30 days. In countires like USA and UK it is 15 days. 😂 It only benifits the Gov since chances are new job will pay more and gov gets more tax money!!

You can challenge if you have not already signed the offer letter or any other letter which mentioned it and you agreed to it while joining.. any condition which is mutually agreed is seen as fair by the law.. I mean if you agreed to it while joining then there is no point

Hi, I wanted to resign from my current company in 30 days where my notice period is 60 days.
“At any point during employment, your appointment may be terminated by either party giving a 60 days’
notice in writing. The Company reserves the right to decide and deduct the notice pay (gross salary) in lieu of notice period.”
This was mentioned in my offer letter, is that mean I can buy out for my notice period

  • @arun_4871

What a way to get the views 😂😂
Pehle new company ko kam notice period ke naam se lapete me lo. Then the existing company se negotiate karo.
Agar nahi negotiate hote hai then new company ko DOJ ko extend karne ko bolo and then ho sake toh notice period buy out karo 😆😆😆
Madam when one is pretty aware that they can't leave their job because of many dependencies then why do you suggest getting relieved early.
