Should I call the police, have them arrested and lock up these cowardly lazy bullies who are so miserable and super jealous of top workers, jealous that i own a condo, got money. Bums will always be bums. Bums only attract losers like them. Working 40 years as a top worker. Never let these fools ever win. 56 here trying to destroy my reputation with defamation of character. Saying I go harassing's women , stalking them, drinking, I'm crazy, insecure, unstable. All 100% pure bs. My managers all know who I am. Never been suspended. Gaslight me, using flying monkeys, gang stalking me. Been doing this to me for the last 16 years. This is criminal?
But they never get fired. I need solid proof. No one wants to investigate. Maybe I should hire an investigator. lol Get them to do a lie detector test. My managers want to go nothing to be afraid of the bullies. Huge red flag. Gang stalking in my condo to have people be scared of me and to hate me thinking that they will kick me out. I'm very respectful and have owned my condo for 14 years. Bullies at work are so jealous. I just ignore it at work and in my condo or should i do something about it since it will never stop trying to destroy me?

The manager in my workplace is so malignant that many people just walked out without giving any notice. I gave my resignation letter last week and can not wait for this to be over. Surely, your mental health is too important to tolerate harrasments and bullying, whether in an active or passive form.

Same with me. I quit my job a month ago due to verbal abuse and toxic work environment. Favoritism is the name of the game in some of these corporations. I got yelled at, blamed for things I didn't do or have any knowledge of, micromanaged like 84% of the time, etc. I had a gut feeling for weeks that I was being pushed out! Then when my hours got reduced in November, that's what my gut was telling me

    Good analysis.
Many employees fall prey to the sweet trap.

    • @amanmanojpreeti
      @amanmanojpreeti ปีที่แล้ว +158

That's not a misconception. It's a fact. It's always better to have another opportunity before you leave one. Otherwise, the level of stress you will be facing after leaving your current job will be many times greater than the level of stress you were having while having that job! If in case it's not the same for you, then that's an exception where you can leave your job first and then look for another one.

I was harassed from day one in the newly assigned Client project. I was told no release will be given, instead disciplinary HR action will be taken for not following official timings as the client has escalated it. Hardly anyone was following it anyway but I was only one being cherry picked. Keep in mind 11-12 hrs of work doesn't matter to them + 3 hrs travelling, Saturday work. Can't take leave, have to use only comp offs as leave will affect their billing. When I said I will come by 9am then leave by 6pm everyday, the response was- you will get that kind of appraisal. I resigned today in a messy way & there is a very high probability that they will make my notice period hellish as possible. In India, these big MNCs are practising Modern Day Bonded Labour. I feel pity for those who can't muster the courage to end this slavery. IMO, Self respect should be paramount!

Hearing that confirmed that my boss is toxic & that she wants the highest standard of work & employee, but she just wants to pay them an unfair bare minimum.
I told her that it's not working out that I remain her employee & that I wanted to leave.....
My new employer appreciates my efforts for her & she compensates me fairly to make it mutually worthwhile for both of us & I couldn't be happier.
Our work life is too short to put up with an employer that wants to psychologically & financially use & abuse us & if we put up with it we are just hurting ourselves. Thanks for the video.

💯 % about an unspeakable friction. I wish more people talked about this. It’s so hard to know about this dynamic before accepting a job. Such is my case. No matter what great work I do, it’s never great to their standards. There is always something to knit pick and with my colleague it is never an issue.

All 5 of your points are valid ones and I can vouch for all of them to be true after I learnt about them the hard and bitter way. My manager and supervisor in my company where I worked 10 years ago had got an unexplainable friction with me inspite of I being the top performer for month on month for over three years straight. I would get the highest amount of appreciations but no monetary or even leaves benefits in the organisation. Infact, inspite of being the highest performer, they conspired along with the supervisor and the HR to even throw me out of the company. The company was Hewlett Packard before the split. Now look what has happened to the company and the part of the organisation where I worked was so unceremoniously spat out from the parent organisation to become what is today called DXC with all of its brand value gone and even those managers left without anything to feel proud about.

    Mine was
    1. Keep taking on more and more projects without increasing the number of employees.
    2. Delays the promise 6 month evaluation/increase. Or if you only bring it up.
    3. No pay for overtime. But decreases your salary for tardiness.
    4. Compulsory be available anytime. Else, you should inform hin of your personal schedules during rest days just so he knows that you are "busy"
    5. His use of the word "family" is just soo weird for me everytime.
    6. Does not orientate you or discuss with you additional tasks you will be taking after a colleague left. He terms it as "help" and if you didnt help him, you become the bad guy.
    7. Your coworker is his son. And he does almost next to nothing. So you get the brunt of his work.
    8. His son's mistakes are yours. Because he cant get his shit up to tell off his own son as the boss.
    9. Randomly creates rules that is not written on memo nor been implemented before.
    10. Offers minimum compensation and tell you that you will be gaining skills and learning to equal it.
I should really leave. Sigh. Writing this made it open my eyes wide. I just find it hard to leave because my coworkers have been very kind and me leaving will then result to a lower number of workers therefore jampacking them with work. 😢

#1 happens very often - it is so common in industry these days, that it is very hard to avoid this kind of situation since it is out of your own control. Sometimes you have to sit it out a bit. But not too long, correct! #2 occurs often with supervisors who say the opposite of what they actually do. It often follows this pattern. Try to move on from such person. #3 is also called minimizing. Was once in this situation and left by myself before something worse could happen. #4 is often in conjunction with supervisor behavior of having favorites - few favorites get all the credit where others are (ab)used to support them. If two ore more of #1 to #4 are currently present at work - often they come as sort of combination -, get out of there.

One of the best things I ever did was walk out of a job, I was there for 17 years and started as an apprentice then worked my way up to supervisor over the years, training young staff. Sadly a new General Manager came in and turned a fine company environment into a toxic workplace over a period of about 3 years until it became unbearable. I wrote a resignation letter and walked out the same day. I thought I would be depressed and have doubts, but the opposite happened, never looked back.

Just wrote resignation letter without a two week notice because I can’t even bear working there another day, I know I would get fired if I put in a two week notice because they would probably notice my lack of motivation on the tasks. What no one is talking about is a company that hire’s you for a specific job description and then starts changing it all of the sudden with no training or time to mentally prepare for the new tasks, but threatens to fire you if you don’t do it. then if these tasks had been in the job description when I was hired I would have turned it down in the first place and even if I chose to do it, it would be for a company that pays way more money and has better benefits and that’s why I have to up and quit and find another job.

Or something which many may not beleive...atleast beleive in Karma???? What goes around comes around.

I've left on time, or so I thought, but they made it so toxic during my notice period that I had an anger burst... I highlighted everything that was wrong and called out the 'personal bullying' that I've gone through...So - I've done everything right until it wasn't possible anymore... We're only human... I wanted it to be a "manager hand-shake" exit, instead most of my colleagues walked me out of the office building and my manager and I didn't greet each other... Ah well... I moved on to a senior management position at a different company. It's going well. DON'T be too afraid to say what you think, the right company won't care about what a petty manager thought about you at a previous job... However, really practice when you get an interview with a new company... Focus on the next thing more that on your current situation.

I’ll say because it’s easy to leave any job anytime why not give you “logical brain” a little exercise for next job. 1) Make sure you yourself don’t have any underdeveloped habits that don’t fit in a professional workplace. 2). See if it’s not your ego that’s stopping you from going back apologising for the mistake and honestly work hard in the bosses or colleagues’ concerns. 3) I guarantee you communicating nicely can change the heart n mind of a ruthless giants. 4) see deeply inside if really you can’t fix it? 5) Concentrate and go back with a new story (like in movies) how you had a mental episode that day and you’re getting advice from professional. 6) show the boss with your hard work and drama how your an asset for the company to value and will be missed if lost. Because you’re leaving the company use this job for acting, drama, pushing skills and fun you know! Who’ll let you do this practice and pay you too? Plus you’ll be laughing the day you’ll leave them to walkout back into the stormy seas of career n jobs!

The problem with personnel nowadays is not keeping them updated with current environment. They stop further learning once they come out of their institution, they never turn the pages of important concepts. If one can update himself regularly related to his employment, his top hierarchy will think thrice to lose him and he will feel secured in his employment and sleep peacefully every night leaving all worries.

It's a little more complicated than this in reality. The first point and the fourth point are very common and do happen. Rest have twists and different versions. One new point i would like to add is keep an eye for cost cutting and audit activities. If you are paid higher than your peers, you will be in your companies cross hairs.

Fear is a state of mind , the faster u win it over the better for u .Hence I do not agree with your point 1 & 2. In such situations ( 2wice in my life) I took it head on , got into conflict with logic , escalated to senior management, and was transferred to a higher post out of conflict zone. That got me wide spread respect from all , and a time came when I was at par with my conflicting boss. Sweet spot , 98% people with standard performance are given the excuse of poor revenue. Only the blue eyed ones gets the better hike, my advice wait for your time to come. How many times r u going to exit from reality

Refrain from using insulting words like "Kicked out" for tech professionals. They are not some thieves to be kicked out of the house. They are working hard to earn what they deserve. So HRs like you should be mindful of using such terms. Employees too leave when they have learnt enough in a particular company then in such a situation will you say that "The employee has kicked the company"? I guess No.

Tech ppl have been responsible for this . Their sycophancy and culture of politics has caused them to be viewed as a commodity. Their is no unity amongst all IT professionals. So as a consequence they sadly do get viewed as such.

Don't be emotional. Having seen IT industry corporate culture for multiple decades in various roles n levels (n still doing well as a pure techie, despite major n minor setbacks, politics etc); kickout is a terminology in which many seniors think. For many (not all though), people are just resources. N it's especially true in service industry. It may be one's pride which do not accept that such filth is being thought for self; but I'd say, no point in being emotiontional about it. I for one, despite being technically proven on multiple latest tech aspects (you can call them cutting edge technologies); know for sure that when I work as an employee, then I'm no more than a 'skilled worker' for top bosses. N if I work as manager (however powerful) , then I'm no more than a management coolie.

The 2nd one, I left the company to move overseas. Till today, I cherish the memories, still keep in touch with both of them.
