Thanks Lars, I think definitely a final and complete FSD system is at hand within this year. But Even a greater news will be Tesla Robot for home use with AI self learning capability, incorporated FSD, it will take off like lighting in developed nations of the planet. Its capability will be far more significant than anything ever seen on our planet, and surely will shoot Tesla stock x10 to 20 times higher. Please do a video on Tesla Robot and its fantastic limitless potential including mining rare precious metals in asteroids and nearby planets, with Elon Space X help. Would FSD putting up a warning notifier to the effect that (sorry; I don't remember the exact text from my Model Y's screen) "autosteer may be limited by poor weather" constitute a "problem"? This was during the day on FSD 12.3.6, and the "poor weather" consisted only of *lovemaking clouds;* no rain at the time.

Thanks, Lars, you consistently bring us mind blowing information about Tesla, and as you say, these are truly interesting times that we’re living in, and I can attest to the fact that Tesla moving away from human coders to a vision based only approach using training videos is truly revolutionary, and I’m so looking forward to receiving the next update, as it is just getting way too good that it’s almost unimaginable to comprehend.
So I also can’t wait to get smart summon, because I don’t have that yet, but the auto park feature is really, really, good, surprisingly good, and so I am just ecstatic as to how accurately it identifies available parking spots, and once you activate the system, it executes the maneuver expertly parking itself into the spot in a way that you, and I simply can’t do on any consistent basis.
So it is, however, still just a tad bit slow for my taste, so I hope they can get it sped up just a little bit more to where it would execute that maneuver just a little faster, and that’s just a minor thing, and a personal preference on my part, but the drives have been less and less requiring me to intervene or to disengage, and even though I absolutely hate the nags, I can deal with them, however, I sure hope that somehow they can either lessen those nags or eliminate them altogether, as that would really be a great achievement, because what we’re really looking for, at least from my perspective is a complete hands-free drive from start to finish, and that day can’t come soon enough for me. I can confirm that the USA car’s mirror based camera and software warn driver to pay attention when necessary.
Actually, drivers shouldn't have to be warned continually. Tesla gives explicit instructions on how to use FSD. If you can't pay attention, you shouldn't be using it.

@BestInTESLA, the only way Tesla can remove nags is if the also remove (supervised) and take overship of any accidents. This is based on the SAE J3016 standard, which NHTSA is using for Driving Automation, where all levels 0-2 are "supervised" and it states: "What does the human in the driver's seat have to do?" "You must constantly supervise these support features; you must steer, brake or accelerate as needed to maintain safety". The reason the nags are there now is because there was incidents with old and current releases, so unless there will be zero incidents with 12.4 there will be huge consequences for Tesla if they remove the nags without stating they take ownership and it is L3-5.
Sounds right up to a point, but they were talking about the steering wheel nag, so they would be using the camera to ascertain that the driver is paying attention.
Will be interesting to see if/how regulators will be able to keep up. I mean, by the time they have some issue to say about 12.x Tesla will already be several versions ahead. They are not geared up for the rate of advancement.

In my experience, v.12.3 FSD craps out in heavy fog or rain, not surprising for a vision-based system. The 'cameras are occluded' notice comes on and the driver has to manage with their own two eyeballs.

Whats the tesla owner experience in the UK, what options for autopilot, self park, summon etc? I know we dont have FSD yet.
Autopilot is very good on main carriageways and motorways. The rest is either unavailable or crippled due to UNECE regulations. I think we will have to wait until FSD is complete in the US before a UK trained version can be permitted.
It seems to me that my car's internal camera is paying attention and it does the nags.
You shouldn't need a nag if YOU are paying attention
You don't have to have a steering wheel nag. You do have to ensure driver attention. Camera driver monitoring can do the job. If the camera thinks you are not paying attention, I assume you will still get a "nag" to pay attention or the software will drop out of FSD
You are technically correct, but any incident that occur will be scrutinized and if NHTSA think hands on the wheel would have prevented it it will be back and Tesla will likely receive huge fines as this is reoccurring issues. I think the better route is removing "supervised"=L3-5 and Tesla taking ownership. They are anywho introducing actual smart summon in V12.4 where the driver is not in the car, so there is no way they can be in control.

Tesla allowing a full hands free should not be a problem and Chev,GMC, and Ford all are allowed hands free Already, same for Mercedes in Europe. The pathway has been paved for them. 🎉

It's really hard to know how well Xpeng are actually doing. I think it was them who stole the FSD source code via a Tesla employee wasn't it? I'd be very surprised if they had managed to progress that old version into a V12 competitor.

FSD will keep improving past robotaxi launch. As more data collected the software will keep updating eventually reaching till reaches to a point that will be 10X safer than average human driver.
I don't agree to take the yoke off. They should always always give drivers the option as and when they want to take a drive.

Safety is not a good selling point. The chance of dying in a car crash is a tiny fraction of 1%, so an improvement on almost nothing is still almost nothing. The selling point for Tesla owners would be convenience for those who don't like driving, and for robotaxi, the selling point should be saving money by not having to own a car.
Ok what to do if uber and lyft just buys tesla cars which I am sure that have already in their fleet from the driver .. but what if they year their own taxi equipment/ app and tesla don’t get any revenue? And thesame in China
Tesla cars already been proven the safest car together with FSD. Insurance for owners should be next to nothing in the near future. Guaranteed.
Insurance will still be required for autonomous vehicles, no doubt. If acceptance and use of robotaxis really takes of, there could be some reduction in number of vehicles insured, perhaps. I suspect that insurance companies will seek to use the reduction in claims to raise their profit margin rather than cut costs to the customers. We are all so used to high insurance costs that they will be able to get away with small reductions in premiums, I suspect. But who would bet against WB?
Why should or would I have to pay for insurance if I'm sitting in the back seat? The liability should be 100% Tesla's. The only insurance I should need is for theft or vandalism, if I'm the owner. If Tesla is liable, it will self insure.
Just wait for an FSD Semi-Truck to fully disturb the Logistics World 🤔
A diesel powered Semi Truck can go *1800* *miles* , and filling up the tanks takes 20 minutes.

A misstatement. Tesla doesn't have 100 orders of magnitude more cars than another company with any cars. 6 orders of magnitude greater than 1 is 1,000,000..

If you have Concerns as described, it seems you aren't keeping up to the information.
One, It's called "FSD (Supervised)" at present! So, no playing "Rock-Paper-Scissors" just yet!
Two: when it gets "Regulatory Approval", you might be required to have "Tesla Insurance" anyway, as they will have to insure themselves!
Also, mostly inattentive drivers, today, are the real problem! More likely they'll hit you!

All accidents are reported to NHTSA and if NHTSA deem that any of the accidents could have been prevented if the driver had their hands on the wheel, Tesla will be fined heavily and the insurance company would likely come after them, as this is an reoccurring issue. I think Tesla will remove (supervised) with 12.4 as they are also introducing actual smart summons, where the car is parking itself, without the driver.

Sure, that's with a remote human monitoring the cars, and it can take over in a second.
That doesn't exist with FSD.
Each of the 50 US states will want to certify FSD as a driver.
How will that be done when:
1) FSD can't read - it can't read 95% of the posted signs on the road
2) FSD can't pass the 20/20 vision test - at least HW3 sure can't
3) FSD can't take the standard driver's license test - FSD is deaf and can't read sign language

Maybe Tesla will cover the accidents but our police and court system

Hi, think the Mercedes Level 3 is more of a 🤡🦄 number than serious on most cars. FSD 12.4 with no discussion is leading the pack with integrating functions while a Mercedes becomes a computer store with systems from a big bunch of companies. Such systems tend to fail as they are too complicated together with all the others. On Swiss highway a new EQS SUV just recently hit a road maintenance vehicle in good sight and fully illuminated with the blinking signals without reducing speed or braking! So proof that this system is too complexe and does not anything better than actual Tesla FSD and that the data are mediocre as there are not enough real life situation in algorithm based software and data from real cars! Also Waymo can stop waisting money of investors as scaling is near impossible. When do people understand what in Tesla is done differently to synergize rather than compete or play power games. Think this is what makes Chinese government trust them in making America great again without the 🤡 who just speaks about or sleepy Joe and his number#1 ‚electric car inventor’ and producer of fairytales aunty Mary Barra. So when do folks recognize those who DO and those who just TALK and steal others money and ideas?😢😎🤪🤔🇨🇭
Orders of magnitude, Lars, are big deals; rein in your hyperbole. There are only about *eight* orders of magnitude's worth of difference between the diameter of a human blood cell and a mile. And there are only about *eighteen* orders of magnitude's worth of difference between a mile's distance and the diameter of our galaxy. So between a blood cell and the galaxy, still only 26 orders of magnitude. PLEASE stop gassing about _any_ comparison exceeding a hundred orders of magnitude, OK?
The non availability of FSD on Cybertruck is because of the complication of AI. It cannot be ported to another vehicle even slightly different.
So it wont port to Cybertruck, or the Semi, or model 2.
If they have a RoboTaxi, it will have to be Model 3 or model Y.
( By the time I typed this, my Tesla shares are already down by another dollar 😮 Luckily I have put options at 185 ❤ Thanks to Lars and all the Musk Rats for driving it up on May 6. That's one bunch of Robot Stock drivers I need 😂)

In a war you must control the propaganda.
And Elon didn't even try.
He cancelled the PR department and failed to educate people about the benefits of the transition to evs with educational ads.
In his weapons grade arrogance he said our cars are so good they will sell themselves. And they are but that doesn't help if people don't know about it. The money he saved by not having ads and a PR department now gets very expensive for Tesla. The only idea Elon has to increase demand is lower the price. Talk about 4d chess. That's a one dimensional attitude. And it doesn't work, of course because he let the lies run rampant. Like a father who tells his son to ignore the bully. We all know how that turns out but Elon doesn't. That's how stupid he is. The bullies have controlled the narrative for over ten years now telling people that it takes very long to charge, that the range is insuffiicient, that evs catch on fire, that they are more expensive. And now Elon is all surprised that people use their IRA money to buy plugin hybrids instead.
The root cause of it all is Elon's arrogance and lack of foresight. And now he is letting good hard working people pay the price for his epic strategic failure.

The bullies have controlled the narrative for over ten years now telling people that it takes very long to charge, that the range is insuffiicient, that evs catch on fire, that they are more expensive. And now Elon is all surprised that people use their IRA money to buy plugin hybrids instead.
The root cause of it all is Elon's arrogance and lack of foresight. And now he is letting good hard workhor people pay the price for his epic strategic failure.

Why are none of these Tesla fanboy channels talking about Tesla's mass layoffs of the supercharger team and hiring freezes? WTF is going on!?
