I think your ideas about the new focus for TESLA are right on target!
Well articulated. You're probably right. It will be interesting to see how this goes.
Ummmm, there are +4 million TESLA capable of running Robotaxi software.
Average COST of Tesla is $50,000.
let that sink in.
S3XY are already good taxis, they can start w those if they want. Strategy to implement and grow a taxi fleet will be the interesting part.
Wow, nearly 100k subs. Good work Lars 👍👍👍
🤗 THANKS LARS , IMHHO YOUR SPECULATIONS MAKE A OF SENSE 🧐💚💚💚
Your CyberCab vs Model-2 speculation is spot on!
Lars, thank you for your crystal ball insight.
EV Lars ✔️🖖🌎 Exactly!
Great info Lars , never listened to those WSJ reporting on Tesla , 👍
Great video! Keep them coming!
Lars, can you make a video to encourage people to VOTE to reinstate Elon’s pay pkg. if it doesn’t go through, we need to understand Elon could leave, take some of these projects with him and the stock indefinitely collapses. We could lose a huge portion of our investment. Everyone, VOTE! Tell everyone on Tesla content creators videos like this one to vote.
I voted against the extortionist.
Elon can’t take things away from Tesla. He can start over focusing on AI rather than cars. But he would have to sell most of his Tesla stock to finance a big AI company. He would need billions in hardware to catch up to Tesla.
Tesla without Musk is just a car company, not worth its current value.
The vote is about reinstating a package whose requirements Elon satisfied already and massively increased company stock value -from the standpoint of fair-play and holding up our side of that bargain, the shareholders should vote yes.
Voted against. He scammed shareholders with targets they expected to meet. There was NO corporate governance. The package was voided as self dealing illegitimate deal. He runs 6 companies, giving him billions will not and has not kept his interest with Tesla. The company has outgrown him and would be better off without his tantrums
Good job Lars 👍✌️
Good job
Price of cyber taxi ride will be half of a normal taxi...it will be a white wash
An thank you lars
You've been correct before Lars! This could be another feather in your cap!
Lars, put a feather in his cap, & called it Macaroni........lol.
So close to that 100k………
You are absolutely correct, a lot of people had never heard of AI until chatGBT... and most people still don't know how it works. It's not only the compute power and data, Tesla has some of the best software architects and software engineers in the world building the neural networks which are very hard to build.
I want Tesla FSD GTA VI........lol.
@ 1 5 : 1 : 8. Thunderous 900 decibel checker board drop moment Lars u jus wait wait wait wait for it
CHECKMATE CHECKMATE-sully
I’m skeptical on only one point you made: people will not understand the true capabilities of FSD for much longer into the future. The average bell curve human still relies on MSM for info and FUD will prevail as long as they have a platform to spread it. Even worse, the same bell curve human allows persuasion by adverts at a much higher rate which acts as a corroborator more than anything. Tesla is restrained in its advertising, which is smart. To have this paradigm shift through non-legacy means is transformative. Through this lens is how I view the abrupt switch to robotaxis from NextGen. Get the technology experienced by as many people as possible (without the overhead of purchase) to instill that the future is now and it’s time to get involved.
I think they need educational advertising for their cars to show how safe and dependable they are and to fight the lies about them. I think not advertising FSD for now until it gets so good they can't kill it would be good.
Precisely why China is such an opportunity. They will be less squeamish to outlying issues Vs general benefit. Thus I think the political regime will be more friendly in China.
Hahahahahahahahahaha.... breath.... hahaha lol hahahaha!!!
The robocab will be small, simple, no-frills to get you around town. A test bed for the coming $20,000 Tesla, with the frills.
First off: Vote your Shares!
Second, Hyoe is Hyoe, but Logic does say, Tesla will need to be having the "$25,000 Tesla" in a Production Capacity at least as High as the Model 3, almost from Day 1, and be able to move to Model Y Level Production Rates very Rapidly! Then, surpass that, within 15-24 Months!
I think Tesla will only continue making private cars for the people that want to pay for the FSD package and also make cybercabs, the rest of inexpensive cars they will leave to the Chinese and license the FSD to them and any other manufacturer that would want to license it. They are not going to make a $25k car to make $2 or 3k on it when they can make a cybercabs that will generate $80 to $300k a year for decades. The writing is on the wall.
The math you were looking for.
$25k point of sale $5.5k profit per car.
$25k Robotaxi $100k over 3 years profit per car.
That is about a million miles in 3 years.
TESLA is Transitioning from car company to Robotaxi.
it will probably still sell Cybertruck & Semi , but stop selling MOST personal cars.
@@markplott4820 That is a fact. Why make $5.5k profit at point of sale when you can make $100k profit over 3 years renting it out for just $0.25/mile!?
Transport as a service, no driver, this will remove the need to own / rent / PCP a car for lots of people maybe a quarter of the cars on the road in the future ?. Could use the inner city high rise car parks for food production or charging these robot cabs ?
US average car owner pays $567/mth.
Tesla Robotaxi at $0.25/mile is about $150/mth.
If you look at the info Tesla showed on the initial Robotaxi app, it clearly showed the vehicle as a Model Y. The rollout with be manned through the evaluation period and all interventions will be analyzed. Then 3s and Ys can be produced without controls for autonomous operation.
I don't think it will be model Y and 3's, it will be a cheaper to produce car, probably around $20k. There are many things you don't need in a taxi that people would want in a private car. Eventually Tesla will get out of making the cars themselves all together and leave that to the Chinese, just like Apple does with its iPhones.
Counterpoint: The illustration of the unboxed production process was also a Model Y, and it was clearly stated that this was a placeholder for illustration purposes. So you can speculate either way. 😄
@@andresd6193nothing cheaper than zero!! Yes there will be newer and cheaper to produce models. But the existing cars can also offer value too, particularly larger capacity / premium price. Uber already do this don't they??
I would love to know how a Tesla Robotaxi would be programmed where the only choice is a crash or a worse crash, both times I remember were semi trailers driving wrong way in my lane.
I doubt there is any video for that. In truth no one has really solved the trolley issue have they?? But this such an edge case you could actually seek approved solutions then create video to the that effect.. That could be popular opinion or could be regulators. If there is a definition then the response can be elicited. So how would YOU solve that problem?? I really doubt there are definitive answers. But as we progress then there might well be.
@markthomas7279 There is no solution as these moments are rare & they are all different & can change by what car you are driving.
One situation i had to soin the car 180 degrees & hit the truck going backwards, obviouslry I survived but the car didn't, prob wouldnt work with a baby car
People even don't understand the difference between algorithms and AI (neural network).
1000 taxis for 1,400,000,000 people. Amazing the reporter only waited 4 hours…😂
lol. it was Quicker ordering KFC Robo Delivery in CHYNA.
There are alternativeS like metro.
Baidu's system is more like cruise than waymo
Har I set at Nordea går imod at holde aftalen om Elon's optioner. Skammeligt. En aftale er en aftale.
ayert may yon, Twinkee ?
Every day for the past 4 months, my Tesla has failed at making thr turn onto my home street. I keep sending them this feedback but it still isn’t fixed. The sad part is, it used to do the turn perfectly beforre they got rid of the sensors and just rely on the cameras
Oh reeeeeeeerrally ..... Thats a really that's as long as your nose, Pinocchio!!!!
Baidu uses Blackberry QNX for the High level secure real time operating system?
geofensed is also expensiv becourse you have to spenf milions a day uppdating the map/rails and use more and more money on that...
What if the robo taxi is the 25000 dollar car? Could help with less parts e.g. no steering wheel
I think that's pretty marginal.
@@markthomas7279 but they could also offer it as a kind of subscription. So u could pay less for the car but u have to pay for usage with self full driving. Could make the car cheaper
If you look at the profit margin on model2 vs cybercab, the model2 gives a one time profit of $5k or less while each cybercab returns $20k per year for 5 years minimum. I know which one I would make...
when the fsd is 100xhuman tesla will start to slim down and simplify the system. 8 fulltime channels can reduced to 4 altinating channels, then 2 like humans. then from 100watt/sek to 50watt, then 20 watt and so on... in the end its like and Iphone...
FSD should ramp faster than RoboTaxi. It will take 3 or 4 years for the cyber car to catch up in numbers to the S3XY models. And that’s from the time they start building the first Unboxed production line.
Dream scenario : 8/8 the cybercab roles of the line by itself and continues driving into Austin to be ready for rides. Meanwhile Musk present the app you must download to use it and calls one to the scene.
😊😊😊
I visited Waymo once. It didn’t look very promising .
All that lidars glued to normal cars …
8/8. Third Gen unboxed car China, Robocab US. Jeannine
After waymo maps all of the cities in China, they do it again and again and again because cities constantly evolve.
Waymo will not get into China. The Google China thing is done.
Wallstreet has made it a business to FUD about Tesla. Many careers depend on making the shortsellers, ICE car manufacturers, and oil companies happy.
People think that they are helping to train FSD to make their cars work better, but Elon's dream is to replace their cars with robotaxis
Yes, from the start. It’s not a secret.
Well yes per above that no secret. But it's a choice driven by economics not by enforcement.
I wonder if all the millions of Tesla's car in China have been collecting data since each car made in China have Tesla’s Hardware 3 or 4??????
The market for robotaxis can/will be profitable but it will take quite some time to have it up and running….it amazes me how the Tesla fans always find a new horizon to be positive about. The unexpected restructuring of the supercharger team makes no sense to me, it should be a crucial part of the robotaxis and was always one of the USP’s of tesla according to the tesla fans. Before robotaxis will be reality, Tesla needs to survive as a carmaker in a more competitive market as ever…Thanks to the Chinese carmakers! Interesting times!
Supercharging is a necessary cost line and should be treated as such. The woman got over her skis. China is probably more fertile ground than the west for FSD. The Chinese are fundamentally less squeamish to outliers and more convinced by mean benefits. Meantime, 8/8 is an auspicious date in China since 8 is the lucky number.... I think we might see a Chinese development on Robotaxi reveal day!!
If you expect driverless robocabs to drive driver taxis out of business which version of FSD can handle these tasks.
Assist a sick or injured person into the car & fasten their seatbelt.
Put a wheelchair in the trunk.
A rider doesnt know the address & will show the driver the way.
The rider collapses unconscious & needs medical assistance,
Delivering urgent blood for an operation & get a police escort at up tp 170kph.
Drunk rider vomits in the cab.
All these & more I had to do in 40 years driving a taxi in Sydney Australia.
Plus while I was on shift three people died in other taxis in the fleet & I drunk fell out the door.
Maybe they can use Tesla robots to drive.
Reminds me of when we realized that the automatic check-out technology of Jeff Bezos was actually a bunch of Indians manually following each shopper via cameras and adding up the purchases. 😄
How to make clear you not even watched the videos never mind used FSD without saying it!!!
If shareholders re-approve Elon Musk's compensation package, to what extent will this action dilute current shareholder's ownership in Tesla?
Less than the growth that will be engendered by re-enforcing the meritocracy over crony gov / legal interventions. But the shares have in fact already been set aside so no dilution, rather concentration if the deal is welched.
@@markthomas7279 Thanks Mark for your response. I get what you are saying in your first sentence and I think that has validity. I have not seen where the shares have been set aside...which would be a good thing. Do you have a reference for this? And if the deal is welched, then shareholders would benefit as they reclaim ownership of the set aside shares? Do I understand this correctly? Thanks again for your feedback. ...RH
Bets on. It’s gonna be a flop. Or I’ll eat my words. Give the man his $50 billion
Tesla is going to need to address the situation where are large number of people leave a big event at the same time and they all summon their Tesla or request a Robotaxi at the same time. There will need to be some sort of cue system built into the app.
Variable pricing to lower demand: $50 bucks when the football game gets out…
No they do not. That is what is called a train, and it was invented over a century ago. Tesla even built a line for one to their Berlin factory. 😅
@@geirmyrvagnes8718 I think users will need to reserve pickup points along with the pickup time away from where the event lets out.
Would be nice. I'm sure there will be Q systems at airports and many venues. No doubt they have lots of Uber video from LAX and the Niners games.
@@geirmyrvagnes8718alternatively called a taxi queue... Common at most modern venues / airports
😆B😆A😆I😆D😆U🤣
I think you lack international experience. Ever used a map in China.... Hint! Google does not work!!
First
Not competition only similarities or replications not even good ones either 👎
Once Tesla starts pumping out self driving taxis byt he hundreds of thousands, why will anyone want to own a car? Instead, just use Tesla's own self driving car whenever you need one.
20 years at least, until ICE are illegal & all cars are EV with FSD at the level Tesla is now.
Over 1.5 Billion cars on the road now, only 40 million are EV. A long way away from making a dent in ownership numbers.
Tech isn't the problem, lack of educative advertising is. I've never seen/heard ads for EVs on Australian TV or radio.
My neighbor said no one in Oz buys EVs because she's never seen one on the road. I took her for a drive & pointed out 27 in 5min. She was flabbergasted, one of the first things she said after realizing so many are on the road was "How could I not know about this ?" I said "Yeh, you'd think was a classified government secret wouldn't ya ?".
EDUCATIVE ADVERTISING !!!
Oh reeeeeally. Do you understand the economics of delivering the same utility value at a fraction of the cost??? Economics drives change. Robitaxi will eliminate the purpose of Uber by eliminating driver cost. The changing economics will drive out marginal car ownership. The disruption will be immense and rapid.
@@markthomas7279
20 years to sell 1.5 B EVs is extreme rapid, on a global scale. What's your idea of rapid, how long do you think it will take to mine materials then produce & sell 1.5 Billion EVs ? And don't forget Governments & powerful companies are actively slowing the process.
How will it be accomplished ?
75,000,000 EV x 20yrs = !.5 Billion
Please explain who will build sell & most importantly buy 75,000,000 EVs per year, from today ?
It's physically & economically impossible, even if forced by the government.
The Nissan Leaf, introduced in Japan and the United States in December 2010, became the first modern all-electric, that's 40m per 14 years, we need 75,000,000 per year.
In 2022, around 85 million motor vehicles(99% ICE) were produced worldwide, an increase of 5.7% from 2021.
Do you think these people are going to sell their cars just after they bought them or do you think they'll keep them for at least 5 years then sell it to someone who can't afford an EV ?
Your in a dreamland mate & have zero understanding of real people & real world economics. When folks living on a shoe string can buy a second hand EV for $3,000 things will speed up as these folks own 90% of ICE on the road today.
I'm a 50yo Elon supporter(I idolize the man) with over $11,000 invested in TSLA shares & a long term Environmentalist technologist & futurist. I want it to happen yesterday, but that's just not realistic.
Not that much of a secret.
If Musks takes AI and the robots out auf Tesla... Very bad news for the "car company"
This is not going to happen.
In the awful event that Musk departs, he CANNOT take anything away. They don’t belong to him. He could, and probably would take some staff, and he would obviously take his and their ideas which are not already established as Tesla IP.
Current product roadmap would remain in place.
However, there’s no doubt in my mind that the roll out of those products and their implementation and potential scale would all be detrimentally impacted. Plus all of his future potential would be lost meaning Tesla would never be what it could be.
It’s essential that we all vote YES, to do otherwise would be a spectacular case of shooting ourselves in both feet.
@@edwardhackett-jones8126correct. But the pace of change will go into atrophy, bogged down in dividends and sharebuy backs for WS and DEI initiatives. We really must say GFY to WS short termism and the Race Appropriating lady senator from Massachusetts!!!!
🐂🤖🐂
Its the other way around, Tesla wants to partner with Baidu. Baidu have the infrastructure in china actually it's the largest and has been demonstrated.
Tesla wants to partner because they want to start robotaxis on china because American government won't allow full self driving
Both companies benefit from a partnership.
@@JamesAnderson-lq8tf you are right
Boris Johnson is NOT a recommendation anyone in their right mind would want. Delete that barb.
Dont be so hard on trumps little bro
I see your point. Being recommended by Boris would hurt your credibility with anybody on the left in Western Europe at least. But in the game of eyeballs, that may be worth it. This story leaks all the way into the space of right-wing EVs-are-a-communist-plot-to-make-us-eat-transgendered-insects-land. Making anxious people think that drastic and scary changes may actually be good and not a big deal, is in fact one of the things he is really good at. Case: Brexit. That sort of thing is a very expensive ad campaign by conventional means.
Boris isn’t to everyone’s taste, but there’s no denying he’s pretty smart, his assessment of FSD seemed fair with him pointing out its inadequacies.
Tesla when they launch Robotaxi, should have option to remote drivers too, because this 1% or even 0.01% of fails will be all what people are talking.
Remote drivers aren't feasible due to cellular latency.
@@TheSpartan3669 lol do you understand, that is not if this works, it do work. Because is use for many today. Total remote driving would not work, but overtake when it stuck is no problem.
Lars you are a great guy, but following the footsteps of musk is not a great personal and business strategy. Congratulations on you 100K soon but it took sooo long, Tesla is a great company but musk is just a pure fascist who supports russia and china
In your words, what is a good definition of a "pure fascist"?

tesla is dying because musk brain is melting in politics, it already has consequence, they don't even have own battery chemistry for their car and energy sector. now pivoting to AI where there is a lot of competition from Google, Microsoft and many others. it would just be best to rename the channel

Tesla is a dead horse, musk brain is roasted, too divisive, too much politics, not enough indsutrial strategy and no market power on ANY of its products line (the many promising products lol)
Serial liar Elon Musk has promised this for years and still nothing.
The delusions are strong with this one, but let's pierce the veil of willful ignorance anyhow:
1. Baidu will gladly sell Tesla their mapping technology and data-storage backend in China, as it is illegal to export. That is the sum total of their agreement in principle, but this rather thin announcement has been desperately overhyped by Muskovians fearful of the collapsing stock price as if Tesla's RoboTaxi is already approved and released in China.
2. Tesla is nowhere near to "releasing RoboTaxi everywhere", as this fanboi claims with frothing jowls. On 8th August the clinically depressed Musk will present some lacklustre hand-built mockup lacking steering wheel & pedals but with bargain-bin cameras placed to maximize blindspots, probably executed in sharpened ultrahard stainless steel and carrying the Darrell Brooks (pedestrian-slicing) Seal of Approval, then as an afterthought try to hire (back) some (recently fired) people to make it happen, whereupon it will languish on the drawing board like the Flying Roadster 2.0 for 8 or 15 years until the enabling technology (in this case FSD) sufficiently matures. Definitely nothing controlling a driverless vehicle for which Tesla assumes liability will be released this side of 2028, at best it will be some limited pilot program around Austin.
3. Musk on a whim scrapped the M2 program, including the entire Nuevo Leon Gigafactory development, which was a guaranteed money-spinner over the next 20 years, in order to double-down with his perennial gamble on this half-baked fantasy. The cost for this mistake will be borne by the stockholders.
4. In that vein, Denholm, Baglino, Musk, et al have sold significant tranches of shares this year, obviously aiming to not be left with the chumps holding an empty bag.
5 Equally inexplicable was the emotionally unstable Manchild's brainwave to _en masse_ sack the whole 500-man Supercharger Department, plunging a dagger into the single major driver of Tesla car sales at precisely the crucial moment when all other automakers in N.America were poised to adopt the NACS. It is now rumored that German OEMs are less than amused that no-one at Tesla is picking up the phone and are reverting to CCS.
6. In short, Musk has hitched himself politically to the fascistic Mega-Loser Trump and his brain is obviously melting down in sync with the latter's reelection prospects. He is now in the terminal Howard Hughes phase and shareholders must force him out to pasture before he inflicts even greater damage to their portfolios.
All of the legacy auto makers world wide gave Tesla and their silicon valley chip head CEO way, way too long to get ahead of them.
Those idiots thought he was building a car manufacturing company when he was really building an Artificial Intelligence company that also had a car division. Now that he’s given them all of his engineering on how he builds electric cars… they realize they can build the car just fine, but they also know they have no clue how to compose the software that makes those cars work so well.
So… for all of them to compete in the EV category they will all need to contract with Tesla to get the software and the computer hardware to equip their cars to operate competitively. Eventually ALL electric cars will have a small logo on them saying Tesla components included.
I've driven FSD for over a year now and it sucks.
Will it ever get SAE certified for Level-5 autonomous driving?
NO.
FSD was built half-assed and even reaching L4 is impossible.
Why, you ask?
Driving in America and everywhere else in the world
is a privilege given by the state/country to those who pass their driving tests
which include:
1) Vision test - 20/40 and HW3s cheap cameras don't have that vision. Maybe HW4 does.
2) Signage - FSD can't read - yes it can ID 200 "objects" but it can't read the thousands of signs the state puts up to warn and advise drivers of conditions. So the warning sign below your stop sign that reads "Oncoming traffic does not stop" is ignored by FSD since it can't read and FSD assumes the oncoming traffic stops - Boom.
3) Road test - FSD is deaf - if an officer sits in the car he/she can't tell FSD what they want done for the test.
So all this talk about self-driving and robotaxis is just "happy talk" Elon uses to divert folks from the horrible condition TSLA is in.
GFY troll
