Hi Lars, first of all I'm All-In Tesla, driving a MY, not a fan of Mercedes, but we have to be fair to mention that the system Omar tested was NOT the Level 3 system (he mentions it at the beginning of the drive and it can be recognized at the steering wheel, Lvl 3 solution has a special wheel), this was the Level 2 system. Level 3 only works on specific highways in California, not on "normal" roads as they are not mapped and you need a car ahead of you. There was no plan to sell it's existing chargers to BP, BP is trying to purchase the sites that Tesla has decided to stop expanding to, all commenced sites will be completed and existing sites will be expanded with a focus on 100% up time for existing sites, it makes sense for Tesla to do this as the NACS will be adopted by all car manufactures and Tesla can now just sell their tech to other manufactures to expand the charging network, after all why should Tesla be the only ones expanding a network that will be used by all electric vehicles

Early on California was identified as an easy application due to its mild climate and good roads. Mountainous regions are everything that California isn’t. Challenging yes, impossible, no. It is doubtless that Tesla has the tools to solve these problems. I attempted to report the Idaho Springs issues and my response was “It didn’t understand” as the recording system is limited. You're the best observer Lars, so can you tell us if we're reading any of this correctly. Great products are not really limited by production hell so much as prediction hell? Because the fossil fuel industry controls economics and determines everything the customer has to live on, particularly in political perceptions and availability of spending power on energy and how its possible to use.
Fossil fuelled planes land lighter than when they take off. Battery planes land with the same weight. This means heavier landing gear for strength and reduced efficiency because empty batteries are still being carried. Also if, like fuel, batteries are in the wings then wings have to be made stronger once again increasing weight.
Don't jump to conclusions! Why assume electric planes will need to land with all of the batteries they took off with. Electric cars and planes may not even need "batteries"..
People don’t realize that when all these companies buy up all the superchargers and charge exorbitant prices to charge a vehicle is only going to slow down electric integration.

There already is a difference of about 30% per Kwh charging a Tesla on a Tesla supercharger and a non-Tesla charging station. Unfortunately, you don't see the price difference until you drive up to the stall. There should be large price signs at charging stations similar to a gas station.
True. I was a contractor for BP upstream for 15 years. Energy and transition to renewables has been a goal for them for a long time. Would I trust them with the supercharger network? Heck no, but I do believe they’ll build a reliable network of their own using white boxed superchargers from Tesla.
Lars, thought that at least a little competition was coming but I had no idea the competition was so useless, ineffective. The competition is actually being PUNISHED
BP is hedging charging against gasoline. It’s a smart move by them, otherwise they would eventually go out of business. It will be interesting to see how this develops over the next decade for them and for Shell. I expect exponential growth of their charging business (from zero) over that time.
26:50 at least for long range flights there is absolutely no realistic chance to get them electric. 500Wh/kg or even 1000 are by far not enough, it will be good for short distance small flights up to 1000km and 10 passenger, but for big planes you need 12.000Wh/kg !! this the energy density of Kerosin, even if electric is more efficient you need to keep in mind planes need to have much lower weight during landing which is fine with the kerosin being burned but not possible with batteries having same weight even when they are fully discharged. you made it good so far , please keep the quality of your information.
The Mercedes driver assistance featured in the Whole Mars video was the level 2 driver's assistance, not the level 3 Drive Pilot even though they showed the CR test results for the level 3 driver assistance. Also not tested on the highway where the Mercedes driver assistance is supposed to be used.
I'm from Australia, so we only get basic Autopilot (even though I paid for FSD), I wish Autopilot would steer Apex corners like everyone else instead of steering the middle of the lane cause trucks get scarey close.
Yes agree as my drive to the golf club gets a bit, very twichy on one particular tight section where the Tesla attempts to follow some pretty poor line marking. But one step at a time. We still have half of our politicians trying in undermine the transition on a daily basis.
I don’t need some JD Powers-esq cabal elevating Mercedes based on 💰💰💰. I want imperical facts and bench marks from the record shattering juggernaut, TSLA
lars, tke it from me. The coal fired station nearby is paying these guys to stay away, and tesla has not. Pay'em and they will never bother tesla again
Tesla won't sell sites to BP, considering Elon said they are expanding them (instead of building new sites). However, BP has a point, there are property owners whose deals fell through with the change, so there's opportunity for them. This is also an opportunity for BP to pick up a whole bunch of the former Tesla Supercharger team...perhaps that's the reason he said to contact via LinkedIn?
Our European literature has many references to this type of protesters (Graham Green for ex, anarchists in those days.) and they were/are always associated with 'old' money... Now figure it!
Not sure why? BP said that it would try to purchase land that Tesla (Elon) recently said that they wouldn’t be building on. Tesla is focusing on expanding existing sites. Tesla can’t do it all on their own they need companies like BYD, CATL, and BP to work with and to compete against.
FSD combined with C-V2X eliminating accidents and injuries is going to be even more important than all the other safety technologies. C-V2X connected cars technology is a quasi super power sensor, able to see through anything and around corners and that should be combined with FSD to end all accidents and injuries involving pedestrians, bikes, animals... It could be retrofited using cell phones or tags, or devices like the Comma ai open pilot device when adopted. The DOT and Tesla need to fast track it ASAP.
If robots replace workers, who will be able to buy all the products that the robots manufacture? I'm no Musk fan boy but his mantra that 'it's not just about innovation, but about the momentum of the innovation that's important' is acted out in all things that he does and is the pillar on which he is gaining market share in many areas and disrupting old established industries.
EVs don’t need a tax incentive. Tesla will still do fine without them and the EV transition will still continue. I own a model Y and I did get the tax incentive but would have bought without one.
True, EVs no longer "need" incentives. (That was due to GM's lobbyists). But why is no one talking about the $150 billion per year that oil gets in the US?

Reluctant in France? Renault and Peugeot BEV are doing fine. And Tesla is selling great there…
Renault is BANNED in USA.
I worked for BP a long time ago and I can tell you that BP regards itself as an Energy company not an Oil company.
True. I was a contractor for BP upstream for 15 years. Energy and transition to renewables has been a goal for them for a long time. Would I trust them with the supercharger network? Heck no, but I do believe they’ll build a reliable network of their own using white boxed superchargers from Tesla.
Actions speak louder than words
Another outstanding report.
At 27:12 even the spokesperson for CATL can't get the units for battery energy density correct.
She also doesn't know how to speak clearly. How is she even a spokesperson?
No problem in cancelling all the subsidies of EV makers if Trump cancels the ones for the legacy auto makers too.
29:29) E-Quinox has been "introduced." Mary's bonus is triggered when a new EV is "introduced," not when it is "produced..." Moral hazard much?
Chevy EX-LAX ........lol
Thanks for the info you always feel good job😊
Great video, thank you
I❤think that it’s great that he’s being HONEST about being bribed versus other politicians who do the same thing, but LIE about it!
Thank you!
HERE COMES 100K SUBSCRIBERS LARS!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Lars, thought that at least a little competition was coming but I had no idea the competition was so useless, ineffective. The competition is actually being PUNISHED
Oil is A Major Component of Plastics,Like A Large % of Components in ALL Autos.
………… so let’s dump hundreds of millions of pounds of discarded plastics in the ocean in respect of the EXXON VALDEES
BP is hedging charging against gasoline. It’s a smart move by them, otherwise they would eventually go out of business. It will be interesting to see how this develops over the next decade for them and for Shell. I expect exponential growth of their charging business (from zero) over that time.
I admire Elon's engineering, I'm all in on TSLA, but him endorsing DJT breaks my heart.
Yes love The Slap and the content😂
Lucid's CEO enrichment program.
PETER is Khashoggi.
26:50 at least for long range flights there is absolutely no realistic chance to get them electric.
500Wh/kg or even 1000 are by far not enough,
it will be good for short distance small flights up to 1000km and 10 passenger,
but for big planes you need 12.000Wh/kg !! this the energy density of Kerosin,
even if electric is more efficient you need to keep in mind planes need to have much lower weight during landing which is fine with the kerosin being burned but not possible with batteries having same weight even when they are fully discharged.
you made it good so far , please keep the quality of your information.
The Mercedes driver assistance featured in the Whole Mars video was the level 2 driver's assistance, not the level 3 Drive Pilot even though they showed the CR test results for the level 3 driver assistance. Also not tested on the highway where the Mercedes driver assistance is supposed to be used.
So if Trumpet does what he says about electric & renewable energy dismantling in favour of the ICE & oil industries, why is Elon supporting that AO?
Elon has a deficiency when it comes to
Social aspects of life. He really needs to stick to what he is amazing at, and stop supporting MAGA Nazis
Easy answer: Musk picks his poison.
What "support?" Elon asserted he will send NO money to either candidate.
ELON for 2024 POTUS.
Really good. ???
That car was a level 2 mercedes system. They said that right at the beginning of the video. Go watch the original.
Personally, I find that I still have to intervene a lot on the freeway. It randomly changes lanes too much, even if I say MINIMAL lane changes.
Thanks that's great sir
I'm from Australia, so we only get basic Autopilot (even though I paid for FSD), I wish Autopilot would steer Apex corners like everyone else instead of steering the middle of the lane cause trucks get scarey close.
Yes agree as my drive to the golf club gets a bit, very twichy on one particular tight section where the Tesla attempts to follow some pretty poor line marking. But one step at a time. We still have half of our politicians trying in undermine the transition on a daily basis.
I don’t need some JD Powers-esq cabal elevating Mercedes based on 💰💰💰. I want imperical facts and bench marks from the record shattering juggernaut, TSLA
thanks Lars.....
Only the steering nag is going away. The cabin cameras will nag if you’re not “supervising”!
102k !! Nice! 🙂
Elon is the cyber man moving fast forward to the efficient, clean, green 💚 future ✔️🌎
Happy 100 k.
lars, tke it from me. The coal fired station nearby is paying these guys to stay away, and tesla has not. Pay'em and they will never bother tesla again
😄Good day from Lismore, NSW. Sandy is the TRUTH🤑🤑😄🤑🤑🤑🤑
Now figure it!
they are all PROXY of IRAN.
Th disruption runs deep @ Biff & Tiff Porsche
TESLA should give the middle finger to B/P and tell them to as ELON say's GFY.
Not sure why? BP said that it would try to purchase land that Tesla (Elon) recently said that they wouldn’t be building on. Tesla is focusing on expanding existing sites.
Tesla can’t do it all on their own they need companies like BYD, CATL, and BP to work with and to compete against.
To blackmailing
Sarcasm master 😂❤🎉
That was a comparison of Mercedes vs Autopilot not FSD. Even so the Mercedes cannot handle curves so a winding country road won’t work.
I can see Uber in the future being a customer for Robo taxis.
If it Blees???
31:45 This chart is accurate. You just have it upside down silly. Haha
For legacy automotive OEMs, commiting to EVs means jumping out of the nest and learning to fly for the first time on the way down.
What is this acronym ? V2X means vehicle to everything. What does C- refer to?
If robots replace workers, who will be able to buy all the products that the robots manufacture? I'm no Musk fan boy but his mantra that 'it's not just about innovation, but about the momentum of the innovation that's important' is acted out in all things that he does and is the pillar on which he is gaining market share in many areas and disrupting old established industries.
You started the Tesla shorts just 13 minutes in to a 37 minute show.
BP won’t be able to maintain it
Most company cars, trucks and vans are leased and must be returned at about 75,000 miles or two years.
the problem is , Corp Hybrids have 500x more , emissions than 2023.
The Hummer has all wheel steering
Good good good
Lars should come to Tesla Takeover. It's at the end of July in California. Jeannine
28:45 "...if Elom makes a bad post..." It doesn't have to be a bad post, the media will twist any post as needed.
That’s why the most of the media is crap & I will not support them
I didn’t know they had any credibility left
