- Terrifying dashcam vision of a crash, which left a semi-truck precariously dangling from the edge of a Louisville bridge has been released.
On March 1, the 26-year-old driver, Sydney Thomas, was airlifted to safety after nearly plunging into the Ohio River when attempting to avoid a vehicle swerving into her lane.
The footage was shown in a U.S court this week. The driver of the swerving car, 33-year-old Jeffersonville man Trevor Branham, has been charged with wanton endangerment and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended licence.

Ain't no way she's at fault the car driver literally overtakes on the opposite side of the road.
@@NICSU667nope, the pickup crashed into a hatchback on the outside lane which made him veer into the oncoming traffic. The fault is somewhere between those two. Maybe the hatchback broke down, maybe they made a mistake that, maybe the pickup made a mistake that caused him to rear end.

She was literally being suspended above the river by a 2.5 inch piece of steel where the fifth wheel attaches to the trailer and latches onto the pin. The tractor weighs around 5 or 6 tons which could've easily detached from the trailer pin and plummeted into the river below. She had an angel protecting her that day.
Fortunately this trucking company hauls food like frozen meals and not anything very heavy. If she was hauling anything heavier it probably would have given way. But she got very lucky with the bridges welding and the massive beam that held the trailer down.

@@mahbubmo that’s a pretty L take. From that perspective nobody should ever get any credit for anything they do. Search and rescue shouldn’t receive praise when they have to pull people from raging floods. Firefighters shouldn’t be praised when they put themselves in danger trying to save someone like in this scenario because it’s just their job.
It is their job but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t praise them for risking their lives doing their jobs. It takes a certain selfless person to go into harms way to save another person and most people are unwilling to do it, at least for the current pay that most of these people get.

NOT HER FAULT
1-black truck goes into wrong lane and hit her
2-upon the impact, truck starts to roll left
3-probably due impact and damage to the lower arm control/wheel/rackpinion.
4-You see the truck driver turn the steering wheel to the right to go back into her lane , but due to the damage steering is unresponsive and truck continues to roll to the left and nearly falls.
Her fault when she start panicking to others lane

Majority of these people don’t seem to grasp basic driving skills or if they have a driver’s license, they need to get it revoked. They’re a danger to the public.
Seeing how she’s on the right side, she’s from the US. So that being said, in the first couple of seconds of the video, it shows she was struck by an on coming car attempting to illegally overtake the car in front of them. This lead that idiot car to crash into this lady’s semi truck.
With the force of impact, it only makes sense that the sense of direction and the position of her vehicle has been pushed into an uncontrollable direction. Hence why she tried to correct the vehicle, but was unable to due to the impact. This led to her vehicle’s hood falling off the bridge.
“Some” people in the comments are blaming her for crashing into the rails and going off the bridge. These are the same people who get into car crashes and blame the other side when they themselves are the main purpose of the crash.
These people need to get their driver’s license revoked and their cars repossessed.
