The porridge is mostly served alone or with milk here in Denmark , and the toothbrush has build in toothpaste ;) , good review of oure Danish rations , the tuna cant be that bad if the cats likes it hehe

You can't really blame the cat.. I mean.. all that tuna just sitting out not to mention the pate... if you'd been few seconds later... we would have had to ask him for his thoughts on the lunch portion of the MRE.... LOL
Great review RC! This looks like perhaps the best Danish ration menu I've seen thus far. I'm gonna have move Danish 24hr rations up a few notches in my list of what to track down next. Haha

Ansh Shah chocolate bloom isn't bad for you, I think it's just separation of fats. Happens to chocolate when you forget about it in your car for a few summer days

Man.....the scandinavians eat well! That is a lot of food. I think even if I were marching all day in the winter, I'd have about 1/4th of this ration left over.

Where do you get your glassware chemistry mug's? You should provide a link on your videos.
If you want the hot chocolate to be more creamy, just add a dab of butter. Butter is essentially cream, and when I worked as a chef, I put a bit of butter in my puréed soups to give that creamy texture, when I can't add milk or cream to it, because it dilutes flavour and changes the colour.
I thought we stuffed "rugbrød" in all of our rations.. You missed out on that :)

Good review. I would have used the crackers with the pate and used the bread for the jam and peanut butter, but that's just the way I like to eat. It looks like Danish soldier won't have much time for combat in between meals. Your cat just wanted some of that tuna. :-)

I'm Swedish but i really like this Danish MRE more than our own.
Another thing i dont get is why the Swedish one mixes alot of brands, why not just purchase everything from Orifo like the Danish?

If that muesli doesn't get you going, nothing will. When I saw all those Orifo products come out I knew it was going to be great. I found out through Delicious that they are actually Danish but half a dozen countries use their stuff.

Bummer about the Rock or Something facebook -page - no posts at all newer than 2 yers ago. Most are 4 or 6 years old. :-( So end my hopes once again for a way to obtain foreign MREs from a reliable source. Not too comfortable about buying anything edible off of eBay, and Amazon just sells US MREs (civilian, of course). I just want to be able to get an in-date Danish MRE - they look so damn good I just want to see for myself!!!

I think that the nuts would give nice texture to the tuna not sure, you could ask some Danish soldier if he ever mixed the peanuts and the tuna together for added crunch.
DAVID GREGORY KERR most og the time World not mix. The nuts are great for snacks in-between meals but I have not tried it

I know I'm being really, really nit-picky by saying this, but just because certain words mean the same thing doesn't mean they should be used interchangeably. You always refer to the "scent" of the foods you review. Foods and beverages do not have scents...they have aromas and smells. Perfumes, soaps, laundry detergent, etc. have scents. Love your videos and think you are very good compared with others I have viewed. But my obsessive-compulsive nature "compelled" me to point this out. Thank you for your videos and hope you didn't take offense to this comment.
Matthew Gelles I don't get offended by comments. I know I use smell and scent interchangeably...though it's not completely correct. That's part of my method of delivery--realtime and honest. I don't script anything, so my speech isn't perfectly polished. Anyway, thanks for watching!

Artificial, lime, lemon flavor, in tuna, to me, does not work well. Maybe just my taste? Too artificial, like, Garlic flavor? Last entrée, looked the best !
