Another awesome review Gusto! This Chilean 24hr was a tad different than mine component-wise. That drink mix was interesting. It needs an anti-caking agent, that's for sure. Those FRH's are serious. MRE Mountain worked hard to establish that connection with Daff. It's great to see the supply has remained steady because this is a fantastic ration.

What a hearty ration! I grew up in South America, so all the mains looked very familiar...comfort food. Another great review.

Just as info, Im Chilean, and use those rations all the time, first I also thought that the isotonic beberage was compromised, but, nope, all the rations has those isotonic drinks with moist inside, I even send an email to the company asking about that, they said it´s how it´s meant to be... Not a fan, but the drink it´s ok, so I stoped asking :)
The protein bars, and candies and march rations go in another mre, those are complementary to the one in your review.

the drink is not concentrated, it is meant to be prepared with 1Lt of water haha

All the meals, lentils, Turkey and Chickens stew, are typicals dishes in the Chilean homes...the peaches too for dessert.
The plums isnt a typical dessert but is ok..

Yeah, it's basically the same thing as LMF branded spork. Quite usefull.
Fresh and an unusual ration too. Thanks for this one. Chili wins the rations for the spork. Yeah that is a lot of prunes in that bag too. Nice that the chicken pieces are quite big in the stew.Yes not a lot of extras in the meal just good wholesome food. Very nice to see a meal that contains peas that isn't overwhelmed by the flavor of the peas. Thanks for the great review.

Glad to see you back Amigo ! Awesome ration and review ! I have seen only A few of this type ration. Quite a lot of food, and good looking items. Large biscuits indeed ! Great FRH it would seem, LOL. I like the looks of the chicken stew. Turkey and rice, lentil stew looked tasty also. Overall, great review and ration sir. Oh, I love the spork, LOL. I have A , TACTICAL SPORK, that should arrive next week. I can't wait to show it off. Someone will probably have one on review before I get to use mine, LOL. Keep up the great work, Peace, John.

What a great advancement in feeding the troops these mres are. Compared to the ww2 rations its a feast.
Nice... I liked the fruit and veggies in this MRE (btw binding up the troops isn't a great idea as a distraction becomes an obsession). I didn't like the cheap Nescafe, not enough tea and no seasoning? Who eats granola dry? Otherwise Chile 👍
I couldn't help but notice you dumped the dinner mains into the water that was sitting on the outside of the bag from the FRH. Does it not taste funny or do you think it's fine to ingest the chemicals from that water? I'm just curious.

I'm confused mate, are you American or Canadian? You sound like you're from the deep south, but you called it "jam" not jelly. Americans call jam jelly. Canadians correctly call it jam.
Neale Gray I’m from Oklahoma. I usually say jam if it has more fruit purée appearance, jelly if it is more clear.

Simon Cross I use a couple cheap led lights and the overhead light of my fan, living room windows behind. Total about $50
Oh alright, and for the background are you using like foam?
Simon Cross it’s a folding floor mat that my 7 year old used for nap time in preschool...I’m pretty low-tech here. I film on my living room coffee table covered with a gray blanket. 🤓

Blindpolecat950 that’s a good question...I inherited that skull from my grandfather, who was a dentist. I also used it for study in medical school, so it has been in my family since the ‘70s. My grandfather was one of the most influential people in my life, always advising me to never stop exploring, learning about as much as I can. This is one of those explorations for me, so the skull kind of represents that spirit of exploration. Because of its history, the skull is one of my most prized possessions. It usually sits on my desk.
Excellent review, thanks I ordered one based on this review and got it today. Mine has a pack date of May 2018 and I didn't get a spork (bummer) but mine has three pork curries so an extra main instead of the spork.

A nice review.
A decent amount of fibre in this meal with the lentils and the prunes and raisins. Eating a high fibre diet would mean less of a “digestive impact” than if you eat a sustantially meat and low fibre flour diet like a lot of Americans, Britons, and Australians.
No chocolate, cookies, or other sweet junk also gains points for a more healthy meal. U. S. DOD recommends you don’t consume MRE’s as an exclusive diet for more than around three weeks in succession. The higher fibre and lower sugar content in this ration changes that.
Did you see any puncture marks in the beverage packets? They may, unlikely as it sounds, be intended to be that way. I might try and find out if this is the case.

Coffee knows no designated time, for coffee is life.
That’s actually interesting, if I drank coffee before bed I would be up all night. Different Cultures have different things... things that seem strange to us, are normal for other people/cultures. It’s interesting!
But if I was drinking coffee at night I’d most likely always have decaf!
In chile we drink decaf at night unless you plan to stay awake... I'd say it's the same everywhere
