Welcome back, RC. Very clever closure device, which may have worked well on the disappointingly ungusseted muesli bag. That fish and rice is the only dried meal I've ever seen that did not come out soupy with the recommended amount of water. Looked great, too.

Hey welcome back Gusto. I haven't seen a french freeze dried ration before very cool ration. Breakfast looked good. The soup is nice and thick. I don't eat fish but the main looks good. thanks for the great review.

gundog4314 thank you Gundog! I had to take a break while the kids were out of school. It’s impossible to shoot vids with a couple of crazy kids running around. Also took a vacation with my wife for her 40th. I’ve been filming for the past two days, more tomorrow and Thursday

Everything looked really good RC Gusto and glad to see a video from you again. I would love to know what that fish main tasted like since i like the odd stuff and the soups looked really good too. Great review and i give 2 thumbs up just for the bumblebee bowl. I love that damn thing!
Everything was going so well until the sound of your spoon digging into that deer pate. But that fish main looked incredible! Great to have you back, RC!

Hey Gusto you are back. We were just talking about you last week in Old Smokeys live stream. We wasnt sure if you were still reviewing. So glad to see you back. Hub and i went on vacation a few weeks ago and finally got to the Steven Udvar Hazy Center in Chantilly. It was pretty awesome:)

Yes i saw your video when it came out. Thats why when we went on our vacation. We went to Williamsburg for a day. A couple days in DC and i suggested the Museum to him since hes into Air and Space. He can talk hours about Military Planes etc:) So i showed him some of your video so we went there:) So glad you are back. Oldsmokey has been doing livestreams and they are so much fun. Hes next one is this Thursday i believe he said at eight pm. Sometimes gundog, gschultz stickyfingaz and others hang out. Perhaps you can check it out:)

Oh cool i missed that one. They are fun, cuz you can do it as short or long as you want. As you see he chats and continues to do the ration. I like it cuz a lot of regular viewers are there so we are getting to know each other and chat while he does the review. Would love to see you do them:)

Eve Black I do believe he is still a nurse and if so I unfortunately don't think its a vacation lol especially if he's an ER nurse. Its so hard to get vacations when you're a MA(medical assistant) and higher up unless you got seniority. Then you may be able to lol. I am just glad he's back. I think we can agree that we missed him.

You can’t tell tell lighthearted ribbing in a comment. RC Gusto is my best buddy so one part of the reason he’s been behind is because he’s been helping me with a project.

Beau's lines are horizontal lines in finger nails google it
zuseable its a median nail dystrophy due to a subconscious habit of scratching at the base of my thumbnails. You will notice that it is not present on any of my other nails, as would be present with beau’s lines. I did more than google it...I went to medical school and did an internal medicine residency.
I hope you and the wife had a great vacation. Deer pate? That's one I haven't had before. You have a distracting background noise that cuts in and out as you speak. Maybe the A/C?
Sar Jim yeah. It’s the AC. The return is in the corner of the room I use.
That's what I thought. I stopped the video once just to confirm it wasn't coming from me. It's not a problem hearing or understanding you, just a little distracting. I don't know what you can do about it though. It's 95 here now with a heat index of 103. I'd run the A/C and just hope for the best.
Of course no stove, fuel or water purification tablets...oh that's right in any combat situation the french "soldier" can always go to any local store & get hot water.. sheesh.

RC Gusto still good though dude, it’s just that Steve has this special quality about him lol. I’ve tried the French ration (box version) & it was great. The coffee is pure trash though lol deffinately the worse bit of the ration.
