Anthem is gonna have no paid DLC so either the games development was just completely fucked or the devs and publisher are the most brain dead individuals in the world
Travis Holland 6 years my ass, probably took them 8 months or so. If it really took six years to make then it would have came out polished as RDR2 or God of War.
don't forget that andromeda has a lot of development time too! but internal conflict in bioware montreal that pulls the team on all kind of directions (either by ea, themselves or other parties) consumes a lot of the development time. seems like the same thing happens to anthem.
Can somebody explain to me.... Youre EA , you have the Star Wars license. Youre EA , you have the studio that made the best Star Wars game ever, Bioware's Knights of the Old Republic. Youre EA, you have Dice who made many great online shooters.... Why on earth do you have Bioware develop an online shooter and have Dice develop a Star Wars game?????? Its like they are f-ing it up on purpose.....
James Maloney I dont think so mean.. They will probably stop halfway, just like they stop their games being finished on release. You probably have to pay for the season pass if you want them to carry you all the way.
Delrith was really good here, and is making a good addition to the channel. It’s cool how he puts in so many hours into these games and knows what he’s talking about/ make sure info is correct/ adds in important info.
Most of the shit Delrith said in this video is a straight up lie and Joe believed all of it. 1. The guy they were talking about, Sev, does get introduced to you before you run the dungeons. You literally have to talk to him prior to going into the Tyrant Mines 2. You CAN see your face in cutscenes. There are 4-5 cutscenes throughout the campaign that will show your face, as long as you have the default helmet equipped. Your freelancer will be inside the javelin and the helmet lifts and you see their face. If you have the default helmet, you can also see your guy’s face in the loading screen before going into a mission. 3. Faye, the girl he says is always the voice during freeplay is also another lie. Owen will be your cypher up until a certain point in the story. After then, Faye replaces him and talks to you in freeplay.
Joe shouldn't even play looter shooters they clearly aren't his type of game. Del is the only one who is competent at Anthem. Joe can't even survive hard mode.
Metin Saray I feel like EA and BIoWare has plan releasing Unfinished Version of Anthem on PS4, and release the full E3 Version PS5. To get the sales on PS4?
@@saintz8244 Even if it's an unfinished game, it's still not looking promising for the future. You can tell there's zero passion on making this. I thought EA was gonna repair its reputation with this game but man, the game industry is fucked.
Anthem took 6 years of development.....God of War 4 took 5 years, Witcher 3 took 3.5 years, Persona 5 took 6 years, Neir: Automata took 3 years. No more excuses!!!! You guys coulda just put 2 more years of development in Mass effect Andromeda!!!
Kartik Punna then it would be a PS5 game. And won’t be out till like 2021. Mass Effect andromeda could’ve gave Witcher 3 a run for it’s money with more development time, and anthem could’ve competed with Cyberpunk 2077 with more development time! That woulda been perfect
kemar Sessay PS5 isn’t really due for another 3-4 years imo. PS4 is doing fine for now. Not to mention, most studios have only made one game for the PS4.
You know we don't need a MMO game. Why MMO? Why not a game you can play alone or Co-op which it would be an open world style. That would introduce pvp and "LESS" loading screens. They could've made Anthem a regular game than a stupid MMO. That might not make a difference but they could do raids which could make it a semi-MMO. Because why play alone in a MMO? No one should do there own thing in an MMO. It seems these kind of games are tricky to make, only to me Anyways. This game should just kill EA or ruin the terrible game developers career. More like we need a Gordon Ramsey game artist, developer, and producer. We need some one to rise up against these companies and help the underrated developers.

Bro I literally cannot stress that enough. Like HOW THE FUCK did they even make this game if you couldn’t see any any stats? But nope, they kept adding stats to weapons, components, powers, and etc blindly.
Fire Emblem Fates has stats right on the bottom screen at all times. It tells you what each stat does, what debuffs/buffs you have, your weapon stats, how strong your character(s) are, and I must emphasis this again, you always have access to it. In a 3ds game from 2016. Anthem has no excuse, other than they didn't implement it.

@@shitmandood agreed. I put in an hour or two and I felt it was garbage. I wanted it to be good but it didn't take long to realize it was going to be bad.
@Warm Soft Kitty I don't know who you are commenting to here but I thin you are slightly wrong. You are correct in saying they are the publishers not the developers but that is only technically. Games that are published but them and made by studios not owned by them do have a tendency to be good games. An example of this would be Titanfall 2. Developed by Respawn Entertainment (before they were purchased by EA) and published by EA. This meant they had the ability to be a lot more free with their game. However, developers who are owned by the publisher have to follow more strictly what the publisher wants. For instance BioWare is owned by EA. This means you could say BioWare developed the game (which is true) but you can't say EA doesn't have their hand in the development. When a publisher owns the developer you can't separate the two anymore because the publisher is now the developer also. With this said I think @Makoto Niijima is correct in saying Sekiro has a chance of being okay even though it is published by Activision. As far as I know Activision does not own FromSoftware which means this is a collaboration. I just want to say, I understand what you were saying but things simply aren't that simple. Not everything EA or Activision publishes is bad. Just everything in which they own the developers (thus making themselves the developers) is bad.

One quick note on the MVP part: a minimum viable product in software development is usually used for proving a concept to a client by building a functioning app that does the bare minimum, and providing a "base" for future development sprints. The reason for this is that sometimes clients don't want to go all in on a product and want to set milestones that they pay for instead of committing long term to an entire full scale development cycle(which is a lot of money). In a consumer context this would mean that we'd pay 5-10 dollars for Anthem's current version and decide after playing if we want to commit to future content in the form of DLCs/upgrades(5-10 bucks per DLC). Now the problem here is that we pay 60$ which is FULL PRICE for an MVP, this translates directly to : pay me the entire project NOW and hope that I fix it/deliver on what we agreed. If you'd say this as a developer to any client they would just laugh like hell at you and tell you to fuck off.
Yes as a regular software client. But gamers will apparently buy any shit game studios throw at them. My only hope is that Fallout 76 and Anthem are the wake up calls the community needed.

You wouldn't buy a car in February if you didn't get the wheels til June. Don't understand how people can defend this game when they've made content and took it out to keep people waiting, playing & paying in to it. The Witcher 3 is one of the best games that created a product and then added a whole games worth of content for a small fee extra, thats how these major companies should go about making these games. People today are stilling paying witcher, a game that has been out for nearly 5 years. I understand the two games are different genres but the foundations of the games stay the same.
Those who defend it would say "Well I am having a lot of fun in the car even without the wheels, I can sit in it and laugh with Friends, I can store stuff in the boot, the wheels are just an added bonus later to help make traversal better"
It blows my mind how people defend this stuff seriously, they are somehow happy with a shell of a product and act like just because they have low standards and are happy with it (the stupid friends line as well, doing anything with friends is more fun even playing in dog shit) that its acceptable. I don't understand how people can be happy with this, all they are buying is the frame and waiting months for the rest, if you have to wait months after the games launch to have a full game the game shouldn't have launched months prior. Or the best is they say you are just a hater/part of outrage culture etc. Yeah, screw me for wanting quality from AAA companies, how dare I criticize them when they try to pull this stuff.

We had games like Borderlands, GTA, Warframe Skyrim which could be played for thousands of Hours for a fair prize and are still loved, so why do so many games fail now?
Because the purpose of a capitalist business is to make more money every year. If you don't make more profit than the last year, you don't please investors and your company could go broke. So we'll see more games that are unfinished on launch unfortunately, because publishers think that's how they'll make the most money.

I bet Anthem was originally going to be a new single player sci fi rpg. Then EA saw Destiny making money and made bioware "pivot the design" a few years into development.
a few years in? Probably more like a year ago. This sure doesn't feel like a game that had more than 1 years worth of development time in it, and even thats being generous.
As a developer who has worked in the industry, I can tell you that what most likely happened with anthem was a ton of corporate meddling. When bioware announced anthem, you could tell that the leads were passionate about making something that was a part of a clear vision. And these guys are not amateur developers, they've built extremely expansive games time and time again. They learned many of these lessions from making swtor and they were working with an engine which they already knew very well, frostbite (both da:I and me:a used frostbite 3.0). The most logical chain of events in my mind is that due to the amount of fan hype, EA decided to take anthem apart so that they could sell it in pieces to the fans/players. This is something that actually happened with both of the destiny games as well. It's well documented that many pieces and systems from destiny two were actually supposed to be a part of destiny one. I believe that EA sat down and just pulled out the parts of the game that they assumed would be good to drip feed their player base. Elemental weapons, large world bosses, catacylsms, missions, strongholds, cosmetics, and probably even entire factions of enemies were removed so that this "live service" bullshit could work. Anthem has a somewhat satisfactory gameplay loop despite all of the balance problems and lack of choices and EA knows that that is enough to get some people hooked on a title even if there is no content at launch. It's also very likely that the pacing and balance issues exist because of the corporate meddling. When you remove entire systems of the game and rework others to make it more of a grind and a drip feed, you fundamentally change the balance of a game like this. EA also knows that the whole live service thing doesn't work with triple A studios because these developers often release a title and then move on to the next one with only a few devs staying on to add minimal content patches. Fact is, once you've built the tooling for a game, it becomes extremely easy to make cosmetic content, new weapons and items, as well as new systems and levels for a game. Anyone who has played a game like Skyrim and has made a mod for a game like Skyrim can understand this logic. You don't need to invest a ton of money and effort into designing these things because the main game is already out there. The only live service games that have worked are games with developers who are devoted to releasing content patches. Look at DotA 2 or path of exile or Warframe. The devs who work on Warframe only make Warframe (though they might be working on another game soon). GGG is constantly able to innovate on path of exile every 4 to 6 months because they have a full staff of developers constantly tinkering with the engine, with cosmetics, with items, skills, balance and new leagues and mechanics. The point is, with anthem already released and deemed meh from a critical standpoint, it's unlikely that you will see changes to parts of the engine or to anything that requires new tooling to be built because it's too expensive both from a monetary standpoint and in terms of man hours. The best you can hope for after the initial 4 to 6 months post release is just a bunch of surface level stuff and content that is already either feature complete or almost feature complete. Aka content that was ripped from the game prior to release either due to the deadline or because of EAs meddling. Oh and btw, the 6 year dev cycle was either due to a complete rebuild of the entire game or due to a rather large game rework as a result of corporate choices. Even if this game was completely rebuilt; they would have had most of the tooling to build it. EA and bioware's suits decided to release a skeleton game and they probably didn't play test it because they play tested a build that most likely is more feature complete.
Only way to save this game now is to go FREE TO PLAY and provide folks who payed for full retail price get IN GAME STORE CREDIT WORTH as much as retail.
Abeltensor I couldn’t agree more about everything you said man. I do definitely believe that this isn’t the anthem BioWare wanted to make, at some point during development they had to of scrapped what they originally had and started over. It doesn’t even feel like a BioWare game the lacking story shows they didn’t get to make the game they wanted because BioWare always creates deep stores with tons of lore. And yea they forsure took out some content before releasing it, just like EA did with battlefront. Smh I’m worried that BioWare won’t survive this. This is 2 big games in a row that failed

Wasn't this game an excuse on why Andromeda was bad, didn't they say they where putting in more time developing this and that's why Andromeda facial animations where so bad, or am i mistaken?
The reason why animations and the game glitched and crashed so much pretty much all lands on the fact that BioWare couldn’t work with the FrostBite engine. They had and still have a lot of problem working with it as it’s not meant to be used the way it’s currently being used. Everyone who works for EA is forced to work with this engine since it’s such a “darn diddly”-amazing engine with absolutely no cause for improvement. BioWare that made Anthem is not the BioWare that made Andromeda. Neither of these two were the same BioWare whom made DA: Origins or Mass Effect 1-2. They are a husk of their former selves, and I truly pity those whom still works for BioWare after all these years and really tries to make a decent product in the wake after all that has happened and are gunned down and scrutinized at every turn. R.I.P BioWare of Old
Funny, right? A completely different sort of game focusing on a completely different audience on a completely different system is the reason they didn't do better. It still makes me laugh. XD
SPOILERS BELOW Here is something interesting i found that shows just how lazy and incompetent the developers are. So i did the Dax's final mission where you kill talon and save the people who disappeared in the emerald abyss. At this point my mission for Faye/Haluk is at the point where he gets all whiny and runs off alone into the wild and my next mission is to go find and bring him back to prepare for the heart of rage. The funny thing is when i got back from finishing Dax's mission i got a radio transmission from Faye/Haluk about completing the contract and having some drinks at the bar so the three of us can celebrate, like Haluk magically returned. It's obvious what happened. The developers didnt take into account that people might finish the Dax story line before finishing Haluk's so the game registers Haluk in Tarsis. Such an immersion breaking moment and a perfect example of Bioware's incompetence.
Austen Joeckel yeah the story triggers for that messed up. I completed Dax’s mission after the story and my conversation was “Yeah now let’s make the shield and go into the Heart of Rage”...
Here’s one better, I go to talk to dax and the commander is chillin next to her, only problem, he’s also chilling 5 feet away where he normally stands.. definitely immersion breaking and dumb

I played the beta/demo for 30min and knew it was trash. Felt like crap, hub was crap, game play was crap. Lol bungies not doing much better, there's a reason destiny 2 is free to play, Destiny's player base is just as dead as anthems so there throwing the game at everyone hoping you will buy the microtransactions and dlc to squeeze a little more money out of it before it dies for good
KAmeron howell that is not true at all. Destiny still has a large player base despite its multiple flaws. And also they still, you know, UPDATE THE GAME. Unlike BioWare who abandoned Anthem after a few months.
Guys I hate to say it, but this is partly on us!! We encourage developers with our wallets. In order to encourage change however, we need to make sacrifices and NOT BUY AT LAUNCH! Even if the game has this one cool feature that you love so much and boasts with top notch graphics.....take one for the team and DONT BUY! This goes especially to the younger players as you are their main demographic! Developers will have to come up with new exciting game concepts for an affordable price if they want to survive. And that's the message we need to send. I was working for a company that released an online version of a very beloved fantasy game in 2014, the greed and corporate approach of said company has completely ruined the launch and this entirely empty, maddeningly repetitive and ugly looking game is now free to play, however that was AFTER the fans had already spent full retail price PLUS season pass on this mess. If a game asks for a season pass DONT BUY! Does the game push in-game purchases on top of a full retail price? DONT BUY! I sticked to this since 2014 and have not only saved myself a lot of money but a lot of frustration. Reward the "God of War's", the "RDR2's", the "Breath of Wild's" as well as indie title such as "Far Lone Sails" and "Unravel" and only buy the AAA titles if you are truly convinced its a finished quality product.
This is a lot easier said than done for most ppl. Most ppl just go to the store after seeing these awesome ads/trailers on TV/online & when they see the box cover, they just reach for it & purchase it blindly. Just hoping it will live up to expectations. No reviews, no AJS, no twitch, nothing. Just based on "hmm I got some money, kinda bored of playing all the fortnite/cod/FIFA/Madden/apex, ooh anthem is out, that kinda looked like iron man + destiny in the commercials, looks pretty cool, let's try it out". Most also don't really care about mtx & dlc/season passes in general. They don't think it's a good thing or bad thing. They have no opinion on it whatsoever. They just think it's how just how things are now. They're everywhere. And thus just accept it as part of the territory. I realize this is the exact problem you're describing but it's undeniable, most gamers are "casuals" or relatively "newcomers", meaning younger kids like you said, or ppl who got their 1st taste thru mobile gaming; they simply don't know of a time before all this when & where you got full fledged games the moment you bought them at release. No mtx, no paywalls, no constant online, no dlc's (expansions are a bit different), no ½ of a game excuse of an early access beta, no GAAS. It's a sad state of affairs for us older, more experienced gamers.
Im the type of guy who buys new games when i finnished one. I get bored easily and i dont have problems paying full price. But at least i watch trailers and reviews and play demos and free betas. And after playing the 10 hour Anthem Demo through EA access i knew after 6 hours that i dont pay my money on this. I bought RE2R instead. And im happy. Now i see my friends playing Anthem and i dont know why. Are they blind? Have they already blindly bought it and play it anyway. Or do they really have fun with this? I dont understand.
EA has no had in Apex, bc they didn’t develop it? So then EA had no hand in Anthem bc they didn’t develop it, BioWare did. But EA owns BioWare, just like they own Respawn. Those comments make 0 sense.
Considering most ppl gave it a 4 or 5, maybe they did pay off IGN and they just couldn’t bring themselves to go any higher than 6.5? 😂 But in all seriousness, I’d have given the game a solid 6
@Mr.fringles K yes hence why they rate even crap games a 7 or 8 but if anthem couldnt even reach that in their eyes, the game needs a lot of work to bounce back.
You dont know what happened to Anthem? I do. Battlefront 2 Anthem fully intended to be massively microtransaction filled, but the negative press forced them to reconsider all the products in the line up. Unfortunately for them, they had already announced and shown off Anthem.
This was definitely a part of the problem, The other issue is that the content they’re talking about in this video as seen in the trailers (in engine) likely didn’t ever exist in the first place. Because the way videogame development works is that they have a team attempting to make a playable version and a separate team working on the full game. So the people working on the playable version are using the code from the full game team, then adding onto it to make it work and display.(they often add in partial features that may be coming in the future but get scrapped)
i don't think this is the main reason, there is still just bad loot, they would have better more interesting weapons by now if they intended to hide them behind microtransactions, the chopped up and rearranged story is also not a reason of changing the microtransactions due to the SW BF2 fail. the biggest problem is as in so many titles these days is that it's incomplete and completely rushed.
imagine buying a 5 star steak, then having it be cooked as you eat it raw and them going through and seasoning it as you eat this raw steak they are trying to cook and fix to your taste. That is most of these live service games. Stop buying 5 star price steaks that is not even finished.
@@nickrivas6429 whoever eats ramen/noodles from a fresh packet needs to get bitch slapped. I wanted to do the same thing to finn from adventure time when he did that. I call ramen noodles.
navyrotc2012 The sad reality is that I guarantee you this game will make more money than previous games like mass effect that have been well received by fans. Games as a service and online gaming in general make a steady income for greedy developers because so many stupid people pay for micro transactions and dlc. The game may not perform as well as they had hoped but they will make serious bank over its lifespan. This is why companies don't care about the quality or put in the time to finish of their games properly, it's all about pumping games out and filling them with micro transactions to keep those dollars rolling in. We can only hope that one day enough people will stop buying this crap..
Oh man... I don't know if it was intentional or not but just the use of the word visceral made me think of the comparison between this and dead space 3. And that bioware is probably going to go the way of visceral games after this.

My theory is Anthem was going to be a single player game, possibly a Mass Effect game early on. Then EA came in and said the game has to be a live service multiplayer game and development went to hell.
I can definitely imagine Anthem being nothing short of a masterpiece had BioWare focused on making it a single-player RPG instead of relying on always-online multiplayer servers like so many other games nowadays. I am constantly amazed by how so many developers and publishers fail to realize what an untapped oil well single-player games are, especially after recent games like God of War and Spider-Man.
You know what is funny, some parts in Anthem were produced for ME Adromeda. I belive to this very day that Anthem was/is the prototype for ME Adromeda. They even used the same voiceovers in Anthem.
A long time ago they started hiring for a "shared world" multiplayer experience. It's been the plan for a while. I think it's much more likely that this mess is entirely down to Bioware. EA is known these days for giving their big devs quite a lot of leeway (they actually proposed Andromeda be delayed but Bioware refused) - a dev quoted it as them "giving you enough rope to hang yourself with". Bioware just isn't the same any more, we wanted to believe that Andromeda being a B-team game made it an isolated case, but they're showing a lack of vision and talent as of late.

Minimum Viable Product (MVP) + "Hot Dog Theory" = Game as Service. The equation that led to the most unfinished, disappointing and underwhelming games of these last years.
@@Kronos0999 Del talks about it during the video (can't find when, but it should be towards the end): the game developer/publisher have a finished and complete product with coherent storyline and a good amount of content in it (the hot dog), but because they want to make a "game as service" they split it up in different pieces. Some pieces are used to package a game which is only part of what it was supposed to be (a shortened hotdog), while the rest of the content is slowly drip fed after release. If the shortened hot dog is still a solid game filled with enough content, such tactic may work. But in the case of Anthem, it only made the game so much worse.

I miss the days where DLC and patches weren't possibly so video game developers had to first put the ENTIRE GAME AND ALL IT'S CONTENT ON THE DISK and make sure that is was tested and playable before putting it on shelves.
Wasn't that a wonderful time? No strings attached, no stupid updates, no big installs, no extra services, season passes, microtransactions, you just put the disc in and started playing without a loading screen to even get in the way. I'm sick and tired of modern gaming. I hardly even buy most games for these reasons. The old days did it best. The craft was treated more seriously
Remember 15 years ago, when World of Warcraft came out and there were only 3 kinds of loading screens? Loading the game, going into an INSTANCED dungeon and going to the other CONTINENT across the ocean? Remember when 15 years ago our technological capabilities were that good?
Remember when fixing game issues ment updating it? Now "fixes" get repacked and resold as a sequel? Why are we even mentioning "well maybe Anthem 2 will be better". There shouldn't ever be an Anthem/Destiny/Division. 2 It's literally the same game resold with some new story missions. Remember when we thought expansions are okay for continuing games and dlcs are bad? Dlcs are a complet game now. Apparently.
It’s reflective of the corporate culture of AAA publishers at the moment. They’re tired of waiting 5 years to release (and start earning money for) a game, as investors don’t like to wait. There is no way this game took 6 years to make, it’s clearly been built from the ground up; 1. here’s a map creator we use all the time, build an open world. 2. you know that backpack mechanic you made for MA: andromeda? yeah build that up to make the characters fly 3. Stick in micro transactions/monetisation for customisation options 4. Release. The story was almost certainly an afterthought.
at least they can play this incomplete game. I have video footage on myself just trying to walk, jump, and fly and the glitches and lag is incredible. it is literally unplayable for me =(
I can only imagine how frustrating it is working as game devs for EA. Constantly having to shape your vision for a game around their money hungry motives...
@@mcmarkmarkson7115 Not really, on average a game dev earns about U$ 90 000 per year. However, they have no union benefits (especially compared to the movie industry, which makes less money than games) and are constantly incentivized into being workaholics at the risk of losing their jobs, its hugely stressful, just look into any articles on crunch. On the other hand, data that was publicly released by the AAA industry shows one exec earns 35 million per year. In other words, these people without technical knowledge, passion or understanding of their customer base earn the equivalent of 422 TRAINED PROFESSIONALS ! This after Activision fired 500 people. Customers are not the only ones who are being hurt by the greed and toxicity of these publishers, developers suffer too.

8 months ago to be exact.
Small note about GGG and PoE: they release a new league every 13 weeks.
Lets make this top comment or pin this Joe.

Wasn't this game an excuse on why Andromeda was bad, didn't they say they where putting in more time developing this and that's why Andromeda facial animations where so bad, or am i mistaken?
Two excuses actually:
Anthem
Zelda

Here is something interesting i found that shows just how lazy and incompetent the developers are.

Reward the "God of War's", the "RDR2's", the "Breath of Wild's" as well as indie title such as "Far Lone Sails" and "Unravel" and only buy the AAA titles if you are truly convinced its a finished quality product.
don't buy just crack hahaa then buy later hhahahaha

You dont know what happened to Anthem?
I do.
Battlefront 2
Anthem fully intended to be massively microtransaction filled, but the negative press forced them to reconsider all the products in the line up.
Unfortunately for them, they had already announced and shown off Anthem.
This was definitely a part of the problem,
The other issue is that the content they’re talking about in this video as seen in the trailers (in engine) likely didn’t ever exist in the first place.
Good point. BF2 shit show would have happened right when production would have been coming to an end. So they had to pull stuff out and redesign.
How low does a person need to be to actually skip lines in order to make a click bait out of a youtube comment?

This is a visceral breakdown of what happens when making money takes precedent over everything else
They pissed away Dragon Age and Mass Effect to make this boring turd called Anthem.
Short term money.
There's nothing wrong with making money. Good games do that. Anthem is going to lose money
navyrotc2012 The sad reality is that I guarantee you this game will make more money than previous games like mass effect that have been well received by fans.

They should have made it singleplayer with the option to play co-op with friends online or splitscreen on consoles.

Thats only recently. I started with WF 2 months after launch, when they had the browser launcher. And there was no story, besides Prime codex entries, for years. Which im glad they took serious time to realize where they wanted their story to go, made it all the much better.

Minimum Viable Product (MVP) + "Hot Dog Theory" = Game as Service.
The equation that led to the most unfinished, disappointing and underwhelming games of these last years.
What's a hot dog theory?
@@Kronos0999 Del talks about it during the video (can't find when, but it should be towards the end): the game developer/publisher have a finished and complete product with coherent storyline and a good amount of content in it (the hot dog), but because they want to make a "game as service" they split it up in different pieces. Some pieces are used to package a game which is only part of what it was supposed to be (a shortened hotdog), while the rest of the content is slowly drip fed after release. If the shortened hot dog is still a solid game filled with enough content, such tactic may work. But in the case of Anthem, it only made the game so much worse.
@@aaafakadam Yeah, I saw that. Is that a real term or one you just picked up after Del?
@@Kronos0999 I picked it up after Del. I think he made it up (i goggled it but the only thing i found is a theory on how a girl can judge a man by his hot dog toppings, lol), but it's an effective and fun concept
@@aaafakadam Fair enough.
The whole "Games as a Service" just needs to die already.
It’s only getting started, saldy. At least we still have great single player games.
@@LuccatielD7 Single player games are the only reason im still playing.
The only purpose of service games is to make games with less content and more microtransactions.
Makoto Niijima the idea behind games as a service is good but every company that’s tried to do it has failed due to greed and bad management I bet if a good , games as a live service game comes out people will be saying the opposite
It honestly is, wait till May for a cataclysm...........you gotta be kidding me......and people paid $80 😂
ALWAYS remember MEA died for this game... and yet i find MEA more enjoyable..
MEA was a pile of shit. Anthem is really fun. Source - I have both.
@@goatwarrior3570... ME:A is actually better. Source, I have them both.
@@goatwarrior3570 Even if both games were shit. Andromeda has the prime perk of being a Mass Effect game.
Remember 15 years ago, when World of Warcraft came out and there were only 3 kinds of loading screens? Loading the game, going into an INSTANCED dungeon and going to the other CONTINENT across the ocean? Remember when 15 years ago our technological capabilities were that good?
remember 30 years ago, there where no loading screens.
Developers focus more on shiny graphics now more than anything because it's good for marketing
People only care about graphics over gameplay :/
@@PrawiSucia_Official If this is a joke, it's a bad one.
Apparently.
@9:41 "Minimum viable product"..... Its incredible how true that is with this game... ffs... wow... lol.
I have video footage on myself just trying to walk, jump, and fly and the glitches and lag is incredible. it is literally unplayable for me =(
If you can dislike this video and defend this game you're an EA fanboy and can't handle any criticism and that's a fact.
Can we have a moment of silence for everyone who pre ordered this game
Someone on the Internet no they deserve the shit pile they ordered
No empathy for those useful idiots.
fuck you idiots that pre order. pre ordering needs to die.
If they were dum enough and couldnt see how bad this game gonnaa be than i am not sorry for that to bad ea got their money
Legion of dawn edition here...
I can only imagine how frustrating it is working as game devs for EA. Constantly having to shape your vision for a game around their money hungry motives...
Almost as frustrating as paying for their overpromised shit. At least the devs earn good money.
@@KaiserAfini So in other words: EA is a sweat-shop. Work everyone to death, give them some decent salary to try & keep them there, then dump them if the revenue isn't steady. The revenue is never steady in the gaming industry though. I'm not sure why anyone would do this for a living unless they already had millions in the bank & had nothing to lose by building games for a living, with plenty of unpaid downtime between projects/companies.
@@KaiserAfini EA devs probably earn more than the industry Standart and getting 90k is better than spending money on EA games. I have no insight how bioware employees are treated. They worked for 6 years on Anthem, what kind of crunch did they need? Anyway good money is good money.
Who cares? Those EA devs opted into a shitty company. Fuck 'em.
The spent 6 years developing a full game but they released a bare bones game and they will just release and sell the content over time. Real MVP status here
Shrew Tracks where’s your profile picture from
Although it seems to not be Viable enough, as it's being hammered and sales are bad.
Nah, they just hid everything thing that they spent time on for DLC
Dlc is free idiot
zieg feld It doesn’t matter. The games gonna be dead bye the time May comes by
They fixed it the only way EA could by cancelling the whole damned thing.
