To explain the sediment depth - When I went, they said the Moai being buried was part of the carving/sculpting process. They Carve it out of the volcano side, and slide it down the hill on slats into a pre-dug hole to stand up the Maoi, and this allows them to carve the back of the head details without breaking or damaging the front of the statue. They are only at this depth at the quarry location.
@@visionforetold4568 You can always go and see it for yourself. Its only in one location where any are buried at all, and its the volcano quarry. Dibble is the racist because he won't allow for the idea to materialise. He wants to persist the narrative which keeps whitey at the top. Accusers are projecting their own ideas 90% of the time.
There is a reason almost every comment is attacking Flint Dibbles character and not his arguments. Hancock got blown out in the debate. Now these two are having a private trauma session together because they can’t handle another debate with an academic researcher. It’s really hard to bullshit your way through hours of discussion with an expert because the expert actually knows what they’re talking about and understands the scientific research behind it. Many people here are clearly not interested in knowledge, otherwise, they would read books and studies (boring) instead of watching conspiracy videos (fun). They would focus on actual credentials and scientific research rather than just going off vibes.
Well the two are connected - his character and his arguments. He's a weasel of a man seeking to preserve the status quo and push political ideology. And this character is reflected in the way he misrepresents things in his arguments to "win" rather than discover the truth. I mean he's a so called expert, but even Joe, with nearly no knowledge of the field, was able to form a counter argument that Flint had to lie in response to (the seed argument).
@@jake-t2y3g "to preserve the status quo" I can assure you with 100% certainty that if they discovered fucking atlantis or even the suggestion of a globe spanning civilization before the ice age, they would be rushing to publish it. The moment people start clowning new ideas, new theories, new possibilities and try to gatekeep and shame others for thinking outside the box, that is when you know you are on to something huge. There was a point in time that people believed the world was flat and laughed at the idea of the earth being round. Just a few months ago we learned that our scientists had guessed completely wrong about the age of the universe and when or “if” the Big Bang had even happened. @@TheRobson61 Incorrect. Real life is stranger than fiction. And far more interesting. The problem here is that Graham just wants to seek truth while having his own theories and the Archeologist refuse to entertain that thus blocking further reach into areas that merits said research.
It's crazy to me how Graham can on one hand acknowledge that he's been accused of using a 'God of the gaps' argument and refute that accusation, then immediately follow that with "my evidence is not based on what archeologists *have* studied, but is based on what they *have not* studied". That is the primest example you could get of a God of the gaps argument.
You are right byt Hancock is not saying anything he says is true. He is saying it should be investigated and tested. And they won't even engage and when they do - they lie or try to get him cancelled. Which suggests they can't debunk him or they would...
@uponeric36 Explain what context I'm leaving out. Graham said himself that he concedes that there is no evidence that points to a lost civilization in what scientists and archeologists have studied - which is what preceded the quote I mentioned. He then makes the suggestion that such evidence *may* be found in the parts of the Amazon rainforest or Sahara Desert that have not been fully excavated or studied. He is pointing at a 'gap' in our scientific and archeological studies and saying "you can't rule out that there may be evidence there".
Season 03, HAS to happen, I am thrilled Mr. Hancock and Mr. Hawass found a common ground. Making archeology popular would definitely help with funding and further discoveries. This man has so much to say, I always remember the story about he climbing the pyramid of Giza and finding the signature of his ancestor. Amazing stuff. It surprises me that Graham rarely talks about civilizations from the Indian subcontinent. He briefly mentions them but hasn’t studied them as deeply as American or Egyptian civilizations. The Vasuki serpent he mentioned is hugely important in Hindu culture-we grew up hearing that story. If he dug deeper, he’d find many more that connect to his hypothesis. There’s so much yet to uncover from that region.
Did you read his book Underworld: Flooded Kingdoms of the Ice Age? Graham has also discussed India on several of his ( own) podcasts. I agree a film about ancient India would be awesome!
@@sebastianbenitez948 I would disagree. Indus valley civilization was as advanced as Egyptian civilization. Stone tools and other archaeological findings in regions like the Narmada Valley suggest human presence from earlier periods, possibly by Homo erectus, dating back over 300,000 years. There are many hidden gems to find there. In fact Indian subcontinent was inhibited by humans much earlier than American subcontinent.
1:08:11 I live in Mississippi, and I know where several mounds are, in the middle of the woods. I'm talking I know for a fact that archeologists don't know about these mounds. They are smaller compared to the historically landmarked ones, and singular lone mounds. Always close to a very old creek or a river. One in particular is fascinating the way its shaped, its like a flat topped pyramid with a ramp going up to the top on one side. I'm sure there were steps on the ramp at one time. Fairly good size tree growing on it, so you know it's been there for a long time. It's a dead giveaway when you stumble upon something like that in bottom land, everything around them is flat as a flitter.

Graham’s lack of an Indians Jones’ hat is the single largest hurdle to his being accepted by academia.
That and being a blatant fraud, well and maybe his complete lack of qualification, experience, or a shred of credible evidence for his fantasy stories. One of those, I guess. 😄
Homeboy could skate by with a 2.0 gpa for a bachelors in archaeology but is too dumb for that
All he is doing is asking questions. He does have some evidence to point towards somwthing being here. @oOConstantGardenerOo

Joes audience is brainwashed to anything with ancient civilizations or aliens. Im hearing a lot of trashing about Flint but no facts mentioned
All these folks complaining about academic elites. I'm more worried about the dumbass elites who ignore them.
Don't misunderstand, they are attacking his character because of his lying ways.

OP is ridiculous. Read up on actual archaeological literature- folks who actually put the past together and you’ll see Hancock is just a charlatan.
@@chasestephens7568 some of us like to use our imaginations and speculate on the many possibilities of how our human history may have evolved and developed. We now know thanks to progressing technology that the universe is much older than 14 billion years old, in fact at least double that! So to disregard the ideas of graham hancock simply because there isn’t enough evidence to prove him right nor wrong just shows how small minded, naive, arrogant, and ignorant you might be. I am not uninformed, I am just open to ideas that are outside of your arrogant know it all little group of fools who seem to think they have it all figured out.
Shhhhhh. Don't say the truth in the JRE comment section, these pot heads and dullards want mystical and ridiculous fantasy, not cold, hard reality.
If you're dishonestly taking out the context of what he says, yes.

Wish I could go to Grahams talk in USA next year April!
