    Very correctly & beautifully explained Divya...I am a fitness trainer myself and train people on body weight workouts. My schedule with them starts with Surya Namaskara as warm up. Very effective if done correctly (as you rightly said). Thanks for the video.

      @@VentunoYoga The 5th and 8th steps are different as instructed by you, should not they be same? Some yogis demonstrate them as a similar posture.

    In position 3 , I can't touch floor or my feet if I lock my knees. My hands can reach slight below the knees only. Is this correct ?? What's the alternate ?? Can we bend the knees??

      The basic rules is to apply stress not beyond what you can. At one point you will gain flexibility and you'll no longer bend the knees. But for now, it is ok that you are doing so.

    Namaskaram, First of all thanks for making and sharing such a nice video, your demonstration was very elaborate and good.
    I have never been able to do the 3rd posture, touching the ground with hands, my hands don't reach my legs either, standing and sitting both. do you recommend any exercise or asana for achieving this?

      That flute is the worst one I heard! It's not appropriate, far from zen as a yoga music should be. Very irritating. Is it possible to get rid of this ugly music so we can hear you and enjoy your tips! Thank you!

    3:31 is accurate. Hands should be parallel to legs with knee not jutting out. Ramdev does it differently and I hurt my heels doind that.

      Baba Ramdev does it wrongly. He also does pranayam wrongly making so much sound. Pranayam is supposed to be silent.

    Hi, I have learned in one surya namaskar itself, we have to bring right leg (ashwa sanchalana) to the front and left leg to the front after inverted v. But you explained in the different way. Can you please explain know which is better?

      Both are right but make sure you use both the legs equally

    Nice explanation of Surya Namaskar for this without any knee or back problems.
    Breathing is as important as the vinyasa itself, so I'm glad you are handling that is the next video. :)

      most certainly. I shared this with a young man in the USA who cannot come for classes in Toronto and asked for advice on what Yog he should practice. Surya Namaskar is a great practice to do in the morning, even if you do nothing else. :) Namaskar, Rani Yoga Devi (Renee)
