Thats the best ole tractor in the world... having the same problem. I took air and blew out the fuel lines and the tractor worked great... now problem with the Hydro after 3 hours work... and its leaking at the same spot yours is...
My leak at the front of the engine was the front main seal. It was caused by a dipstick being marked wrong and having about a gallon to much oil in it.
Have you heard it said that you can smell a picture I could dam sure smell that filter housing 😂

Did you add any fluid and where
Center line on the flat spot behind the fuel tank should be a plug or a cap about 1 1/4 pipe.
