He didnt like the game on stream and didnt even play it long enough to a point where you fight other terminators which is only an hour and a half into the game. He didnt even review the game and yet he talks ALL the time about how terminator is his top fav franchise. Hes a fraud lmao

What I love about this company other than their wholesome interactions with angry joe by actually listening to his critiques is their obvious passion for what they do. Their games aren't next gen or 10/10s but they're clearly made by actual fans of the franchises who understand and respect the source material well beyond licensed movie games.

I not watched him for ages, but I come back years later and Joe's all mature and shit :) I love the tabletop games stuff as well but the Starfield review and this one's got me hooked on new-age Joe. I was watching him when he had 5k subs, shit now he's huge!
Not counting Rambo But hopefully they can go back to Rambo and make it their own

That was one of the side-quests! I remember that. Great line. You can also see a 6000 SUX in all it's glory. They did so well in this game.
Teyon came a long way from their Rambo game, it's obvious the developers are huge fans of 80s action movies and they finally proved they can actually make a solid game, sure their Terminator game was not that bad and was already a huge improvement over their Rambo game, but this is truly next level from them!
This is by the same people that made that infamous on-rails-shooter Rambo game!?

What a redemption arc, for them
People need to remember that this is a double A game, not a $100 million dollar triple A blockbuster. So yeah, the facial animations and little details won't be as well done as Horizon or Spider-Man. The jump these devs have made from Rambo to Terminator, to now Robocop is huge. They're doing a lot with very little.
Good graphics don’t make a good game story and gameplay and love for the game from the devs does 😎
Still better animation than Bethesda's recent Mass Effect.

In all fairness the OCP Recovery Charge may recover other things too. Big ass 80s news cameras on the scene, emergency blackout generators, etc. It would be pretty great if the devs actualy showed someone using them for something else to cement them into the world. "Hey what are you doing with one of my power-ups- wait those are actually USED for stuff?!"

@@jaysanj152 Aliens dark descent was the only good recent one. And its a strategy game. Isolation wasnt really that recent. Id argue isolation had too much hiding under tables and it got repetitive, but everything else about the game was amazing. There was a coop aliens shooter that was absolutely garbage... I forget its name. But it had no alien "dna" in it and was more like a left for dead clone.

Just from the Demo alone you can tell this is one big loveletter to the series; as someone who loved the original movie, its so great hearing his triumphant theme song and all the little details like him moving slowish. Only thing that he's missing is the robo joint sounds (like the woo woo) as he walks. Though it might have been a purposeful decision since that noise would likely get old to hear all the time.
it's the same with their previous game Terminator Resistance. It was AA but really captured the atmosphere of Terminator in the future well!
Peter Weller, the original Robocop voices him in the game, real Lewis actress too!
No game gave me such satisfaction this year than robocop. It was truly great
Teyon are getting mad respect they seem to be learning from Rambo and are using the license properly I really hope they keep up with these. Would love to see maybe a updated die hard game (just leave out the last one) or even a matrix game (also leave out the last one)
RoboCop: Rogue City features an original storyline based on the first three RoboCop films and takes place after RoboCop 2. The game is being developed by Teyon, and is published by Nacon in partnership with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, which holds the rights to the franchise.
I was surprised at how solid the demo was. Looks like the devs learned how to make a good shooters of licensed movies like Terminator.
After seeing people play the demo this game is one of the games I want to try out the most, definitely not perfect but the city felt decently dense with interesting content made with love

I unironically spent over 3 hours in the demo alone. I love the old school Robocop, the attention to small details and the overall feeling of 80s drug- and crime ridden Detroit. Also, I love the mix of exploring, solving crimes, shooting and the systems they use in the game. As a shooter alone this would end up boring after a while, but they keep it fresh with mixing all the gameplay elements.
I hope they keep that throughout the full game and make the NPCs more reactive to your presence. Right now most people in the city straight up ignore the robot killing machine when it stomps past them

Demos are (at least for me) LITERALLY only that, a short demo, often lasting only part of an hour

@@gldntchr7122this demo lasts only around 20 to 30 min. So playing it for over 3 hrs is unusual. Hence why he used the term "unironically". Reading comprehension skills need improvement.

@@TheKaiTetley well yeah, the Batman Arkham games are a given.😅 But I mean like the 80's action properties, Alien Isolation is an Amazing Sci-fi Horror Survival kind of game and other than that I guess maybe there's that old Die Hard Arcade game that also got a Saturn and I think a Dreamcast release?
This Robo Cop game feels like it has possible application towards a good Terminator game.

Actually, since they've already made a Terminator game and many would love a crossover game, how funny would it be, if they made SkyNet a failed OCP product, instead of Cyberdyne?

Only because hes a well known influencer on youtube devs wont respond to most stuff people ask them on steam, only regarding the demo almost as if it's done by a bot.
they're not EA, Ubisoft, etc so they have to listen. people will buy the new Fifa every year regardless so EA don't have to listen to anyone.

Looks entertaining, made me want a Dredd 2012 version game too since the two movie sequels never came out. This game is pretty interesting to see I liked the franchise back then, for sure there's a lot that can be done with IP happy it's a thing again.
Hell yes! A Dredd 2012 game would be amazing! I bet Karl Urban would even voice Dredd. Just rewatched the movie a few months back and it's still so damn good! I know, everyone does bullet-time, but imagine slo-mo (as in the drug) gunfights in the Dredd game.
dredd 2012 inspired game but with a larger mega city 1 area and more inspiration taken from the comics mixed with the films aesthetic would give loads of interesting game play.. just using the fiml set in a single block would get stale but reinterpreting more aspects of the comic with the films grittier realism would be awesome

I heard that RoboCop is actually good.
I never really grew up with Robocop so I wasnt thinking much of this game...But after seeing this Demo, and then learning more about how he acts and speaks in the movies...This seems to be a very faithful game that really makes you feel like Robocop...Moving slow and such but I know that is the point so I may pick this game up when it comes out...

I am surprised this demo is freaking fantastic.
AJ was a lot more kind and fair to the game then Alex who was outraged by the campy dialogue and outright demanded that people get fired over it!

15:10 I feel like that is such an insult to the developers. If this was a random FPS that released without the RoboCop name, I'd still have a blast, being a tank of man, bulldozing through enemies.
Recently finished Terminotor Resistance after AJ's fun now years ago.
When they used the line "he's a man, not a God!" when fighting the terminator made me think of Teyon and Joe's history, but in a good way!

The robocop theme song is probably the most funniest moment in the movie
I really want to see him bend the end of a barrel upwards, followed by a groin shot achievement.
Then an akward scene where robocop stares at a female police officer in the shower (deleted scene from the original movie), then lewis shakes her head in disgust.
Recently finished playing the demo. It was a blast to play and I can't wait to play the full game
It has everything a Robocop game should have. Gore, battle physics, music, and great graphics
This demo seems better than most AAA games these days.
This must be the only game that playing with a controler have that camera moviment makes more thematic.
Kinda disappointed Joe and OJ spent over 5 minutes joking about the hookers in a 21 minute video. Also they didn’t even realize the demo goes on for like another hour and how the gameplay actually starts digging into Robocop’s memories of when he was Murphy.
Biggest surprise of the season. This game is good and super faithful to RoboCop.

Oh shit, Teyon made this? Now I wanna play it. Those guys have been upping their game recently. They did Terminator before this and it's the first new Terminator game since the 90s. I don't give a shit if the graphics and animations are a bit low-budget if the games are fun and match the correct atmosphere.
Baby food is a great idea, maybe showing Robo,s spike when he punchs someone would be great too, adding a more pronounced vhs effect with chromatic aberation the more you take damage would be awesome also.

Teyon; in my opinion, has improved since Rambo. I am worried that Nacon is involved, but they are just the publisher. Now, I absolutely hate the early release scam for pre-orders. Call me a hypocrite since I gave in. From what I have seen from the demo, I want to play the game so badly. If it ends up being terrible, I will live with it. But I need my 80s nostalgia fix. Wishful thinking I know, but if this does well I hope it leads to a Terminator vs. Robocop dlc or expansion.

You need to go back and review terminator resistance. That was not a fair review. And gave it a quick impression especially with them releasing the full edition in series x the annihilation line dlc.
Exactly, exactly, exactly, sadly I dont think that he even know how good the Terminator Resistance even is. He didnt put any effort to it, what a shame. Im also looking forward to the Annihilation Line DLC that is soon coming to the Series X.
Indeed he only played the first hours which are the weakest of the game. Joe can have a different opinion but he should have based it on a larger part e.g. experience the hospital scene.
I feel like the base game has to eventually offer more within the gameplay but it looks great

I hope they add cheat codes or bonus unlocks for after you beat the game, i think it would be really fun to menacingly walk thru all the levels punching and throwing only without having to worry about health

I probably won't pick this up for £45 at launch, as its a bit steep for me. Probably more a game I'd pick up for £20 or so and blitz fairly quickly.

Well, with this approach he was suppose to operate two handed guns (AK47 and M60) with just one hand, without felt recoil. But he uses two hands and both guns have some significant recoil. And he uses ironsights too.

This game actually looks stunning, they really made use of the dark environments to show off their reflections and lighting. My only gripe is the facial expressions, it never seems to match up with the tone of their voice unfortunately.
How far has this developer come from releasing the notoriously ugly and borked Rambo game to releasing this just shows that even the worst developers can change and grow.
I can't wait to get this game it looks fun.

They could add the crafting system from Alien Isolation, collect scrap, wires and el.components and you can craft a repair kit or a battery, whatever..
Being from the Detroit area, this intrigues me just like Become Human did. Also, when I was a kid, the first robocop used to scare me 😂
