Sculpted Upper Body // Dynamic + Isometric Workout

  • We are sculpting out that upper body with today's superset dumbbell workout! Combining both dynamic and isometric exercises in today's workout will help build lean muscle while also focusing on stability and muscular endurance. Isometric workouts can be highly effective and are typically recommended for those with sensitive joints or arthritis. In general, I believe they are most effective for maintaining strength and building stability and when combined with dynamic movements may also improve agility and mobility. Plus, it's just fun to switch it up some times and keep that body guessing! So, give it a try and let me know what you think!

    how come each time i do your workout i'd say "this one is definitely her best one" and then the day after i'd pick a different one and I'd say "no this is definitely the best one". Its never ending hahaha. I love all your workouts, Heather!

    I've been doing your videos daily for about 6 weeks now but this one was the first one that caused me to say "F***!" out loud. Those isometric holds are so deceivingly difficult. The knowing smile you shot at the camera toward the end was super helpful and encouraging, like "I know, I'm burning too." Keep it up!

    I know HR are initials for Heather Robertson. But it also stands for “Humility Resuscitated”. As a long term fitness freak I can get cocky when conquering a HIIT routine. Then Ms. Robertson provides a video like this. I’m feeling like a rookie...again. Thank you for the continual challenges.

    I love all of your videos!!!! I watch so many at home youtube workout videos over the last 4 years and yours are what I have always wanted. Before Covid19 and all the shut downs I would go to my trainer 2-3x a week and then 2 workouts I would put into my week solo. I have logged hours saving youtube workout videos for when I am home and I am so happy I found your videos. Your set up, and no BS long winded intro is so needed.
