I think it would be peotic if it fails. Fandoms ruined DC but (not alone) DC corporate corruption and bad decision making was another huge problem. Then, the constant putting DC in competition with Marvel's fully formed cinematic universe 10 yrs ahead broke DC.
It truly is and Gunn is the perfect person to shepard in Superman and the DCU because he's one of the last few people in Hollywood that knows how to make a successful super hero movie and he respects the characters of DC enough to do them justice. Superman will be Gunn's magnum opus.
Half the fans are already crying cause there's underpants on the outside of the suit, well no shit lmao That's what superheroes are, it's classic, the fans have destroyed DC more than anything
If Superman fails, it will be nothing but live action Batman films till 2040 or until WBD manages to implode upon itself. It's also garunteed that in that time, Wonder Woman would still not have gotten an animated series. If the DCU flops WBD might aswell just rename DC to "Batman Studios".
The worst part is it'll be the same grounded Batman over and over with little to no involvement from the Batfamily each time creators and certain fans coming up with reasons and excuses as to why they cant be involved. The Flash and Green Lantern running jokes to their movies being awful will feel like relics and theyll probably be relegated to background characters in whatever direct to DVD cheap animated movie and the thought of Wonder Woman still not getting an animated series at that point will feel like beating a dead horse. Let's all hope that can be prevented with Gunns vision being a hit😂
What does that mean, we haven't even seen that many evil superman. Only inspirations that also have evil Batman, and yet people are acting like that's an actual trend when it's far from it
@@mr.kuso868 Wow 4 inspirations, compared to hundreds of good Supermen. And one implied evil Superman. Injustice is the only real evil superman, you guys are so annoying sometimes
You know there is something wrong when an Aquaman movie makes more than a movie with Batman Superman and Wonder Woman all together in a live action movie for the first time.
Well Wonder Woman 1 did alright, and after Wonder Woman, you logically make Aquaman. Aquaman is her best friend in the heroic community after all...he's the half and half between Flash and GL the way she's half and half between Supes and Bats. Martian Manhunter however is all the above in a literal fine kettle of fish. The problem with Wonder Woman was just the same as her comic writers. They gave her a sequel that misunderstood her after a debut that got her. She should have gotten a better story for 1984...like Cheetah's rise to being arch-enemy or something to do with a secret of Themyscira.
Also an aquaman sequel ending up not being a failed box office with more than 400 millions surpassing Black Adam "The return of Cavill hype" which can't even pass the 400 millions despite of making 192 on its first weekend.
@@bluemindstudios3256aquaman still failed it 435 on a 200 budget that is below the break even point aquaman 2 basically made shang chi money when shang chi was out in covid and starred unknown hero.
I'm gonna put my two cents in. I want this Superman movie to be about Superman with how the cast looks a lot of characters in this film. Hopefully, when the trailer drops I'll be wrong with my hypothesis
Look Superman is the literal symbol of good. That's all I want. When you see him flying overhead I wanted people to be filled with joy and be genuinely excited. I want Superman to be that guy that will listen to your problems. Sees some kid getting bullied just flies down and takes the time to listen matbe even give the kid a hug. I want a Superman who can talk someone out of suicide, letting them know that they're special and valued. I want Superman to be like your best friend, someone you can count on and just feel comfortable with. It shouldn't be thjs hard to get this right. That's what this generation needs, hope and Superman can be the embodiment of that hope.
I want a Superman who is altruistic but is prepared to make difficult and necessary decisions to protect the planet. When hostile aliens are trying to take over the planet you have to be tough and use force to protect others. And he can be a good guy but don't make him all goofy or too nice. He can smile and be kind but he doesn't have to be all giddy.
@@kingdingaling6516 that's good and all but at the end of the day the suits are in control. If they want they can do whatever they want and if james object to it they might get rid of him. I think you underestimate WB ability to fuck things up. I hope superman succeed because that guarantees more dc projects that aren't related to batman or harley quinn. But looking at their track record i don't think so.
I really do want The Batman to be in the dcu. We don't need another reboot and they already ruined it by making the Robin of it Damian instead of Dick.
I feel like the Superman movie will be good, but from I’ve seen Synder fans will purposely give the movie bad reviews which might affect it, but I feel like the film be & do good.
For some reason, I feel like this movie is going to succeed. This movie gives me the same feeling that the first Iron Man movie gave me. James Gunn is gonna come thru
How can this movie give you that feeling? Huh? Seriously it doesn't even exist yet! It's just pictures and blurry shots from people sneaking pics. How about till we wait till there's a TANGIBLE piece of art to actual get a feel from.
I feel like it's going to suck. The suit is trash and there are too many characters. And even the Superman related characters like Krypto I don't think need to be in this movie. Why can't it just have Superman like MOS did? That's way better.
@@TheStormbringer8751 good point. People are going off of vibes and casting announcements and which characters like Green Lantern are included. James Gunn typically does large main cast ensemble shows anymore (TSS, GOTG, Peacemaker) which isn't how *I* think of Supes but it could be outstanding.
I feel like Superman will be a good movie. However I feel Synder fans are going to be at their worst when this movie comes out. They are going to say this movie is a failure if it doesn't make as much as Man of Steel, and they are going to complain so much if Superman makes more money than Man of Steel. Either way I have faith in James Gunn.
I’m a Snyder fan, but I’m a Superman fan overall. I was sad to see Henry go, as well as sad to see Superman & Lois go. Superman 2025 better be good for 2 Supermen to have been sacrificed in order for it to exist.
I don't get why Harley is fucking popular in the first place. I liked her in the animated series and Arkham games but that's it. The first Suicide movie was ass, so I'm not sure why that popped off in her popularity
I love Superman, I still don't understand how DC can't make Superman work even after Marvel literally cleared the way with Captain America. Cap showed that people do want to see hope, want to believe in characters that aren't brooding.
@@TheStormbringer8751… he never mentioned levels of strength. The comparison is more about how both are symbols of hope and uplifting spirits. Reread before typing that nonsense.
Honestly WB's meddling has killed so much goodwill and expectations fans have and its justified that fans dont trust they'll interfere again I trust Gunn and his vision even if some choices are questionable but man if this movie and the overall DCU falls victim to the sins of the DCEU I wont be surprised if certain characters are shelved for a long time and they continue to meet ride Batman till the wheels fall off

The most important thing is that Superman is a great movie in the eyes of the majority, and by great I mean atleast an 8/10. It needs to get people back on board with DC and excited for the future. Money is always a factor but as long as it doesn't 'flop' then this should come secondary to the overall quality of the film.
Was waiting for years for the FF to enter the MCU but the Mr. Fantastic casting nearly killed all my hype 😒 still hope it's rly good. With Stagg building and getting 2 out of 4 already in Superman i really hope that one of the unannounced projects of chapter 1 is for THE TERRIFICS?! 🤔🙏
@BaithNa bro almost every single movie have that goal. Everyone; hope, optimism and second chances. You're not spitting something unique here..lol Every story have a plot, a climax and then conclusions. MoS is not exempted. You fools don't have real argument
@@roylle6346that’s not a rebuttal, those things aren’t mutually exclusive. All-Might doesn’t talk-no-jutsu; he kicks ass and inspires hope just like Superman should. So what is your argument? @francjameso you still haven't made a point. You only presented regurgitated talking points without reasoning. I like how you use one character that inspires hope( all might). Name one, Mc that doesn't inspire hope? Even Frank Castle inspire hope.
Disney is trying to cut the DCU legs before it starts by releasing fantastic four in the same month. People who say this is a barbenheimer forget that Jurassic world is releasing that same month and it's assured to make money especially in the international box office.
@ nah not really Deadpool 3 was bound to be a success cuz of most of all cameos and Hugh jackman and then no way home was bound to be a success cuz of spider man alone not just the come back of Tobey and Andrew plus marvel is a franchise with good reputation unlike Dc recently So this movie is on thin ice if it don’t meet everyone’s expectations for a Superman movie it’s over.
Good I love Batman his films are always enjoyable. The superhero genre needs Batman. He's the most dependable hero. When the superhero fails they always fall back on Batman.
At this time, all I want is a really good Superman movie. If James Gunn and WB don’t stick the landing with “Superman 2025”, then the entire DCU is dead in the water. None of these other DCU projects mean ANYTHING to me unless they nail Superman first and foremost. I don’t want another soulless Superman movie that’s just empty spectacle and tacked on references to the comics that don’t amount to anything. I want a good Superman movie that actually makes me care about Superman, where he’s written and treated like an actual character. Not to get off topic, but I absolutely LOVE the characterization and emotional depth the writers have given Superman in the newest animated series, “My Adventures with Superman”, so Superman 2025’s take on the character has a lot to live up to. With that said, I’m still pretty skeptical about the new movie. Just because James Gunn has found some success with a few superhero properties (Keyword being "some"), that doesn't mean he'll succeed with EVERY superhero property he's given, let alone Superman of all things. Even if James Gunn has the best of intentions for Superman, that’s not gonna stop the executives at WB from tampering with it and pushing the movie they “think” will be successful. Hell, Superman 2025, supposedly, has a budget of $360 million, which is INSANE! That’s almost 3 times the budget for the first “Iron Man (2008)!” That budget, alone, leads me to believe that Superman 2025 is just gonna be another bloated mess just like that piece-of-shit movie “Batman v Superman.” I'm not trying to bum people out who are looking forward to Superman 2025 and I don’t wanna go into the movie ready to hate on it like the Snyderverse fans already are (I absolutely HATED the Snyderverse movies and don’t support those movies or its fanbase in ANY way, especially that universe’s awful take on Superman). I’m just so tired of being disappointed by bad Superman adaptations that don’t value or understand Superman’s character or his appeal. I like James Gunn (I’ll always have fond memories of seeing the “Guardians of the Galaxy” movies in theaters), but I don’t know if he’s the right guy to helm the material. If shows like "Superman and Lois" and "My Adventures with Superman" can tell compelling stories with Superman, with strong characterization and emotional depth, with only a FRACTION of a Hollywood budget, then there is absolutely NO excuse for Superman 2025 to be anything less than "above average." I just want a good Superman movie made by people who ACTUALLY give a shit about Superman. Is that really too much to ask?
After James Gunn said quote "the flash is gonna be the best superhero movie of all time". If this Superman movie don't live up to that quote. Then I'm sorry Bye Bye DC i ain't listening to anymore broken promises. Even if its from James Gunn.
@@j.r.tomlin4265 those statements in no way whatsoever affect his credibility. Did you forget about the guardians trilogy? Or TSS? Or Peacemaker? You may think his credibility is gone, but he’s doing just fine.
@@rogueknight77 all those movies deserve the title Best Superhero movie of all time Way more than the flash. The fact he would even say that about the Flash movie hurts James credibility. He can promote a movie without lying about its quality. I still want him to Succeed and do well but to say that his credibility is the same after the horrible flash movie is crazy.
I think Superman will succeed because we all know James has a great track record of superhero movies before this and he actually knows the source matterial and the VFX team has over 1 year to make this movie as beautiful as it should be and I hope they make the most of the marketing they can do
The thing that I'm afraid of happening is that the movie is gonna be really really great, cuz honestly James Gunn never misses, but I'm afraid it might just sadly not make enough money in the box office.
My only real gripe is that Gunn is keeping his people from The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker, and still pushing Amanda Waller as the Nick Fury of the DC Universe, with her getting her own show, and being in Creature Commandos. Like, I get it, Gunn made those products, but - Continuing Peacemaker set in the DCEU and keeping the others from TSS seems unfair to Cavill and Mamoa - Especially after Kill the Justice League and Absolute Power, I’m getting burnt out on Task Force X and Amanda Waller in the DC Universe.
Superman never embodied the concept of hope better than now, i have high hopes for this movie, it has to save both the DCU and the Superman character for the average audience in one go
I have the utmost faith in the movie being faithful and at least good. I worry about the general public’s reaction to the stark tone shift after nearly a decade of Snyder/Snyder Cult brainwashing.
ground breaking??LMAO?? first off its already introducing us to him , again, on the down having a bunch of guess characters in the movie when that ain't even necessary even if you're telling a future story where he's been a hero just choose from the many comic stories that are critically acclaimed about him facing his foes fighting for justice and prevailing.. its NOT that Hard but this is hollyweird so everything must be the most awkward non planned piece of trash media... this movie will be a dud and james gun is incredibly overrated as a director storyteller
Agreed, I get wanting things to be connected but it's kind of weird that he wants things to be their own while also shoving in as many characters into a Superman movie. It's sort of contradictory.

Bro Snyderverse fanboys truly have become a cult. Like for real. I just discovered a channel(won’t say the channel’s name), that just nonstops repeats the same doom and gloom for the DCU and James Gunn. They literally want this to fail thinking that if it does WB has no choice but to return to Zack Snyder’s vision. But he’s NEVER coming back.
Gunnguzzlers don't realize fans have a reason to be bad, we were teased his return in Black Adam and Cavill announced it just for James Gunn and WB to fire him. Fans have a reason to be not as accepting to this new Superman
@@ControllerAkimbo Don’t get me wrong. I too hate that we won’t see Cavill finish his run as Superman. I actually enjoyed Black Adam for all its flaws. But that tease still hurts knowing nothing will come to fruition from it. Unfortunately, Snyder’s run on Dc has done more damage than we thought. Yeah people were excited for the Snyder cut when it released. I was too. But over time we all kinda understood that Zack’s storytelling isn’t really the best. And he doesn’t understand Dc’s heroes all that well. Plus, Zack even threw a bit of shade to Dc fans when he was talking about “I want to change the way Batman goes about fighting his enemies. I want to make him kill people. And when people say he doesn’t kill, you’re protecting your god in a way”. He was basically saying that he wanted to change core aspects of characters like Batman to show fans that we were wrong to defend these parts about them. Also, I still like Man of Steel but I’ve soured on BVS and hell I actually don’t look at JL Snyder Cut in the same light anymore. Snyder was just the wrong person to herald a whole cinematic universe around Dc. And it just seems weird that his diehard fans are willing to make the new iteration of Dc films fail.

i think my main hesitation with the new DCU is because of 3 things 1. a lot of james gunn's works with superheroes have largely been more satirical and playful, and while that can work for superman, i think it would be best to go for a more grand and dramatic vibe which i (somewhat irrationally) worry wont be present in the movie 2. we haven't seen a lot of (what i would consider) pivotal aspects of the DC comics universe announced, like The Flash (we dont even know if itll be Barry or Wally or even Bart or Jay) or Aquaman or Martian Manhunter 3. the casting for a lot of the characters thus far have... not been very well-received as of recent? i know you can't please everyone with castings but a 60 year old Hal Jordan is NOT it, and kinda makes me think he's only gonna be in the DCU to introduce John Stewart and then to die, pretty much, that or they can do parallax eventually which i do not think is a good idea. considering my favourite side of the DC universe in comics is the green lantern stuff and Hal is my favourite part of that, it kinda hurts me specifically to see that they basically have no plans to continue using Hal beyond the first season of Lanterns

@@ezekielsparadise4633 WTF you talking about Gunnbot? The first Suicide Squad made over 750 mill. GUNN'S TRASH SQUAD was a COMPLETE BOX OFFICE DISASTER
This movie can't just be good, and it certainly can't be okay. For DC to survive, it needs to be an excellent movie that also does excellent at the box office. Otherwise this entire DC rebranding is done before it even begins
I wish I could be optimistic for Gunn's Superman movie, but there are a couple of things about it that keep bothering me. One thing would be the presence of so many other DC heroes that are already going to be in the movie. There not just mentioned as existing, but have a presence onscreen as well. What in the world? It really does feel like Gunn is trying to jumpstart his cinematic universe without even giving it time to breathe. Can't we have a Superman movie where he is the only hero on screen? The other thing would be his previous idea that makes me see Gunn as not the person you want running a DC cinematic universe. He was originally going to have the big bad of his Suicide Squad movie to be a rogue Superman of some sort. Gunn was even offered the chance to do a Superman movie previously, but turned it down since he didn't get the character and even described Superman as a "galoot" at one point. Here's a quote from Gunn that is very concerning: “Just because I write something doesn’t mean I feel it in my bones, visually and emotionally, enough to spend over two years directing it, especially not something of this magnitude.” That's a red flag and it tells me that Gunn is not a Superman fan. If he were he'd feel Superman in his bones today and a few years back. That is the nature of a Superman fan. This does not sound someone who you want directing a Superman movie. It's mighty convenient that now he is just suddenly interested in making a Superman movie. To me, it feels like he didn't want to, but had to make one as a condition for becoming the lead guy of his cinematic universe. It feels more like a DC showcase movie rather than a Superman movie.
Idk, considering what Gunn said about his dog being in the Superman movie (and the fact he’s releasing this movie on the same month his dad died), I feel like Gunn really has a connection with this movie and he’s putting a lot of heart into it. Regardless of what he said previously. As for your other issue, I don’t think there’s a problem with having a few other heroes be in the Superman movie. It’s obvious that the reason they are there is to establish that this world has other heroes in it and that superheroes have been around for years. As long as the primary focus is still on Superman then I’m fine with a couple other heroes getting like 5 minutes of screentime. In fact I’m actually excited to see Guy Gardner and Mr. Terrific in live action for the first time.
@ The fuck you talking about? I believe this will be a great movie because unlike you I dont hate anything before it even comes out. Everything I’ve seen and heard about this movie tells me it’s gonna be good and make plenty of money. Oh, and Gunn never manipulated anybody. That’s just bullshit.

Let's be real though. It's really funny that you're telling Snyderverse fans to move on, when the Snyder Cut came from them not moving on. They're not going to move on. Studio intervened with a creative vision, it was tarnished, then it was restored, and then it was tarnished. It will be restored. Again.
The creative vision was shit. Snyder cult needs to accept that and move on. Snyder had his chance and it still sucked. No more of that garbage. NO MORE! Do you REALLY want more Rebel Moon level shit?
To be fair, there was no reason to care about Flash or Aquaman II as we knew the the universe ending. Blue Beetle hardly got any advertisement so they didn't stand a chance, but it had good fan and critical reception, but then it didn't make much money. I think that we should trust Gunn, but I am not sure how wise it is to focus on the DCU without proven money making, but we'll see. Edit: Also it would make no sense for Pattison's Batman to have Damian at his side in the brave and the bold anyways.
Blue Beetle failed because of a lack of support from Warner Bros when it came to marketing. Joker 2 failed because the director made it a musical to spite fans of the first one. Basically, they're shootin themselves in the foot rn
Lack of support?! Blue Beetle was meant to be a tv movie. But because Saffran produced it and became Head of DC, he bumped up his own project after cancelling Batgirl and gave it a cinematic run. Blue Beetle is DCEU's biggest flop in history. It's trash.
@@MadMax-ot3fi Correct. That is the lack of support that WB gave it. Bumping it up to a full release, and doing nothing to market it. That's why it failed, not because of bad writing, but bad handling from WB. It's still a pretty good film.
@@andyoye9230 Because it was rushed by Saffran for his bonus. Blue Beetle is a terrible film, a grandma with a machine gun is cringe asf. It was a cheap made for tv piece of trash.
@@MadMax-ot3fi Why was it a bad film? it has a 77% on RT and the character arc between Jaime and the Scarab was well done, while the family elements were the best part of the entire movie. It's bombing is almost purely on its messy production/marketing, not it's writing.
@andyoye9230 Rotten Tomatoes again?! You do know those ratings are paid for by the studio. You do know they got exposed for paying $50 for positive reviews? Do some research.
If the new Superman movie fails, I can guarantee you that WB will never even attempt to make a Superman movie ever again; and the DCU prospect will be canned. I am even apprehensive about some of the things here because even though I respect the idea of keeping Matt Reeves’ Batman separate from the DCU, the problem is this can serve to further confuse people, and with comic brands being confusing to casuals and non-comic readers alike; it’s the last thing they would want. It feels like all these projects are trying to make it all seem like they giving creative freedom to their other artists involved when in reality a lot of these feel like ideas in the pipeline for years now but Gunn doesn’t wanna stomp them out.
One question, WB wasn't having financial difficulties? How are they going to afford a cinematic universe? They have announced many projects but I don't know how many are sure that they will be done.
@@andyoye9230 No, Gunn is a very generic director, with no notable successes outside of Disney. He will fail with Superman of the Galaxy. Man of Steel is a cbm masterpiece. Donner and Snyder > Gunn
@@MadMax-ot3fi MOS has a 59% on Rotten tomatoes and is incredibly inaccurate to the comics. Snyder replaced the hopeful Superman, with a dark and edgy version in an attempt to "modernize" him. This ideology can work in other films, but should be avoided in CBMs, because the entire point of superheroes is to be hopeful and bright, especially with a character like Superman. Choosing to do this shows a lack of care for the source material, in an incredibly important way. If you want to disregard the entire point of a character and replace him with you're own version, you shouldn't be adapting other material. Meanwhile, all of Gunn's CBMs have scored over 80% on RT, and embrace the comic-booky nature, while having sincere stories and moments. That is a much better ideology to have when it comes to adapting stories.
I honestly think if DC would have just trusted Zach Snyder with his universe and not take out a bunch of scenes out of his movies to release in theaters it would have worked.
The only recent successes were Batman, Joker, Suicide Squad (took hit from Covid but was still successful) and Peacemaker. ❤️ James Gunn Also Penguin, almost forgot
Tbh DC needs to keep the budgets for the movies super low, under $100 mil, thats how they gonna survive, we've seen that worst of the movies from DC can easily got 200-350mil they would be in profit if they keep the budgets low, people forget that marvel used that same technique, IronMan 1 wasn't a billion $ hit but good movie to create the hype for upcoming universe, and obviously was in Profit too.
All I'm asking, is WB just let James do his thing. Don't do what they did to Zack snyder with Batman V Superman....."Now we gotta have wonder woman in the movie! Add flash too, eh fk it they all get Cameos!" And let's not kill Superman off....IN HIS SECOND MOVIE! PLEASE?!
Superman will be Gunn's magnum opus so we don't have to worry about the film being good. The only thing that will keep Superman from being successful is its release date, two weeks after Jurrasic World and a week before Fantastic Four. Jurrasic World is going to be an easy billion dollar film and that'll ruin July for any other movies. Gunn needs to move Superman to May IMO because it'll be the perfect movie to start off the summer moviegoing season on a positive notw.

I’ve been telling my friends that if Superman fails, DC needs a 5 to 10 year cinematic break. Do animated shows, movies, video games, comics - but give live action films a break. People need time to miss it and Warner Bros. needs time to get their shit together.
No, they just need to cancel the whole cinematic universe thing and stop trying to catch up to Marvel. They need to accept that Marvel succeeded and they failed and DC needs to go back to just making independent live action movies with zero connections to each other. Each character stays in their own universe. DC was doing very well when they were doing that approach.
@@Abhinav-m4o DC has failed while Marvel succeeded. They need to accept it already. Go back to making disconnected, independent films, like TDK trilogy.
I think James Gunn has beyond proven himself by now. Name one other person youd rather have this universe being headed by. Even if he fails, i legitimately couldnt name someone as consistent, as talented, and as enmeshed in the superhero movie space
I feel like even if Superman flops, WB is so stubborn they'll probably keep going with the DCU for a few more films, and basically repeat the DCEU. But I also feel James has got this
James Gunn is a joke and the wrong choice to lead DC. WB never knows how to manage their properties. James Gunns praises for The Flash and Blue Beetle, leave his word questionable. And his Superman film is making all the same mistakes WB forced Snyder to do!
I feel the movie should fail. WB-DC never cared about the fans, they don't have an identity of their own. Still trying to replicate Marvel. WB-DC have been trying to build it for more than a decade and failing everytime. It's gonna happen again.
I'm seeing such an insane amount of effort put in by Snyder fans to discourage everyone from liking the Cornswet Superman but we have hardly even seen anything. They just don't even want it to be good. I understand they never wanted to lose Cavill but I think Cornswet is showing signs of fitting in quite well... since this is one of the signle most important roles (probably THE most important) in all of Hollywood, yet he's chilling and seems to feel at home in the suit, in all pictures we've seen so far. I just hope it goes on to be a really good film. I would never wanna see Superman or really ANY comic project bomb so this one has to go out there and do us proud when released!
Not the way Superman was portrayed. Tyler Hoechlin was a true Superman more than Henry Cavill got to be. Tyler's Superman to reason with people before taking action. That's Superman. Henry Cavill's Superman didn't do that ,at least his Superman wasn't as strong about it.
@@MadMax-ot3fi superman and lois has nothing in common with man of steel besides having 2 characters named superman/clark kent and lois lane aside from that they are totally differen, they arent the same genre or have the same tone and even the potrayal of characters in the show is different Man of Steel is inspired by injustice and darknight rises (the only dc projects snyder knows about) its far from a "true" superman movie as it butchered half the characters it used
I’ve said it before, it’s poetic that the fate of the DC Universe rests on Superman’s shoulders.
The Last Hope Of DC.
I think that's why it would succeed. James Gunn knows how important this film needs to be and he knows how to handle a large group of characters.

"Batman Studios and maybe Superman"
The worst part is it'll be the same grounded Batman over and over with little to no involvement from the Batfamily each time creators and certain fans coming up with reasons and excuses as to why they cant be involved.

That’s almost 3 times the budget for the first “Iron Man (2008)!” That budget, alone, leads me to believe that Superman 2025 is just gonna be another bloated mess just like that piece-of-shit movie “Batman v Superman.”
I'm not trying to bum people out who are looking forward to Superman 2025 and I don’t wanna go into the movie ready to hate on it like the Snyderverse fans already are (I absolutely HATED the Snyderverse movies and don’t support those movies or its fanbase in ANY way, especially that universe’s awful take on Superman). If shows like "Superman and Lois" and "My Adventures with Superman" can tell compelling stories with Superman, with strong characterization and emotional depth, with only a FRACTION of a Hollywood budget, then there is absolutely NO excuse for Superman 2025 to be anything less than "above average."
I just want a good Superman movie made by people who ACTUALLY give a shit about Superman. Is that really too much to ask?

NO.. snyder made it perfect for live action.. there has to be mistakes, consequences , disaster, media, heartbreak, love, problems, government , controversy , politics, corruption, catastrophe , and most of all, HOPE. its the realism factor.. and it took cavils superman proper time to develop that character. hes finallyyyy accepted by humanity then gunn pulls the plug.. ever since he got that head position, dc has been absolutely awful.. that incluides a drastically changed Flash script that was supposed to properly bring back out superman/cavil.. im not tryn to hate on gunn or beg for snyder to be back, but the results dont lie.. i can tell ppl are gonna see this pretty and perfect superman without ANY character development and think “now thats superman”,… superman has soooo much depth its insane. and cavils was perfect.. if u read the comics u will know this. ..60+ years of superman and his mistakes, controversy and hope. cant just make him instantly perfect..
Hopefully Superman becomes the main character of the DCU kinda like how iron man was the main character of the infinity saga. I get Batman is more popular and that's okay but is spiderman is extremely popular yet you never see him being focused on crossover stories.

i think my main hesitation with the new DCU is because of 3 things
1. a lot of james gunn's works with superheroes have largely been more satirical and playful, and while that can work for superman, i think it would be best to go for a more grand and dramatic vibe which i (somewhat irrationally) worry wont be present in the movie
2. we haven't seen a lot of (what i would consider) pivotal aspects of the DC comics universe announced, like The Flash (we dont even know if itll be Barry or Wally or even Bart or Jay) or Aquaman or Martian Manhunter
3. the casting for a lot of the characters thus far have... not been very well-received as of recent? i know you can't please everyone with castings but a 60 year old Hal Jordan is NOT it, and kinda makes me think he's only gonna be in the DCU to introduce John Stewart and then to die, pretty much, that or they can do parallax eventually which i do not think is a good idea. considering my favourite side of the DC universe in comics is the green lantern stuff and Hal is my favourite part of that, it kinda hurts me specifically to see that they basically have no plans to continue using Hal beyond the first season of Lanterns
I Don't think many people are unhappy by dcu castings except hal & whatever hal is going to do better than what mcu did with hank pym or tchaka.
I hate HAL JORDAN

This movie can't just be good, and it certainly can't be okay. For DC to survive, it needs to be an excellent movie that also does excellent at the box office. Otherwise this entire DC rebranding is done before it even begins
It needs to be better than Superman 78 and Mos. It won't be.
@@MadMax-ot3fi That's impossible and esp. with a hack pedo making it.
Here's a quote from Gunn that is very concerning:
“Just because I write something doesn’t mean I feel it in my bones, visually and emotionally, enough to spend over two years directing it, especially not something of this magnitude.”
That's a red flag and it tells me that Gunn is not a Superman fan.
