Could not agree more. They missed it totally. Almost sounded immature! I teach 8th graders, and they connected with the song more than these, "musicians." Ugh
This song/performance went completely over their heads. The entire point of the building of the vocals and instruments with each verse...I don't need to explain it. The responses to this reaction video speak for themselves, and I appreciate that there are still critical listeners of music like this.
Well now we know why you're so familiar with silence at your show. If you perform as badly as you did this reaction, you'll continue to be familiar with silence. And you'll deserve it.
Congradulations you are first people who have not been blown away by this, every musician, composer, music teachers , proffessional singers have been awed by this. I just wonder what trips your trigger?🤔
You were supposed to "react " not analyze... your reaction was one of the coldest that I ever seen...this song and David Draiman's voice is so powerful that gives you goosebumps, you're just no felling it.
"Oh, a piano. Oh, man is singing. Oh, a guitar. Oh, hamburger between my teeth. Oh, strings, t'is more music now. And I heard this about the original song, didn't understand it, but sounds smart as heck, so I'll just gonna throw it in here." "He sounds like this Tenecious D.-dude, hehe he hehe." This was a throwback to 90s MTV.
In an interview, Paul Simon was so impressed how Disturbed did this song, he said, "It is theirs now!" They truly brought the song to life and gave it it's true form.
Responding to the fellas reaction on the comments to Simon Garfunkel Simon at Paul Simon actually met David chef Ramsay's New Year's Eve party couple years back. Paul Simon was so taken by the version of the song that he actually put it up on his on his Facebook website and he's never done that to anyone that's ever remade one of his songs and the connection to David was huge between him and Paul because he Paul thought that he brought this to a brand new generation and what a well job he's done with it
Now if I were to watch you guys again I was just rolling through TH-cam I would never be intrigued to come back to your channel because if that's your reaction to the most powerful song I've ever heard in my life I'm 54 years old you didn't do it for me you didn't even scratch the surface unless you're just that type that takes a lot to get you off your couch and you didn't do it for me.
Absolutely no respect for probably one of the best covers of all time. I actually feel sorry for your inability to appreciate an incredible talent performing an incredible song. Musicians ? Really ?
I really hate people that review a song by stopping it evert 15 seconds to comment ---- let the song play then talk after its over. Never watching you guys again.
Paul Simon likes this version so much, it's on his playlist and he supports it 100%. David Draiman went into the booth and didn't come out for hours, until he felt comfortable w/it. He was classically trained as a vocalist, and has a very wide range.
I had never heard of Disturbed before when I heard this song and loved it. I listened to it over and over and then decided to see what else Disturbed did and wow, was I surprised. I had no idea they were heavy metal and now some of those songs, like Get Down with The Sickness are my favorites. The Sound of Silence really showcases David Draiman's voice. He's amazing. Thanks for the reaction.
My god you missed the mark on this one. This is a BRILLIANT interpretation of this song. Watch the live performance from the Conan O'Brien show and thus time, CONNECT THE LYRICS, THE MEANING, AMD THE PERFORMANCE.
I've watched dozens if not hundreds of reactions to this and I've never heard anyone else say they got TD vibes. You said it took you out of it for a minute, I would say, you stopping it to say that took me totally out of this reaction. I couldn't think of anything else once you said that. It's a shame, it was going so good too.
Yes you are possibly the only one that gets TD vibes......as a professional you should have been able to put that back in your mind so you didn't seem like you weren't taking it seriously.....that part 'neon god they made' etc, always gives me the chills and with the video reinforcing why the world is so screwed right now, his voice backs that and why his version is more my vibe than S&G (even though S&G were my generation, lol)
I agree, the TD reference was childish and grossly unprofessional. This song was extremely well done. The Charismatic Voice has a great reaction to this as well.
@@charleswharmbyiii8401 These two are more than so-called. They may not be your gen, but they are skilled and love great music--to sing, play and listen to (from a Dimash Dear🙋🏻♀️🥰). I was just jarred that Sean was having a sarcastic, judgmental day....we all do 🙄😊.
it feels like the two of you are afraid of the message in this song and in this version....the man singing this trained as a cantor...his voice resonates.........so sorry that you stayed in the space of disconnection
Disturbed has evolved and grown since their days of strictly metal...David Draiman's voice has matured and he has become an extremely accomplished singer...Small wonder that this song has 730,000,000 views...They killed it...
You almost have to watch the live version first. The visuals on this version should help you to tie it all together, but I think these two totally missed the boat ... pun intended.
The original is a warning that this is coming. Disturbed's version is more like a punch in the face, saying, " This is here. THIS IS NOW. We need to fix this." This is the only cover of the song that Paul Simon linked to on his social media pages. Great reaction, thank you both.
This song by #Disturded the Sound of Silence hit my heart hard 💔. My husband was playing this song on the computer. I stopped & asked him who was singing that song. He told me #Disturded & I started crying. They were one of our son's favorite bands. Our son Michael was killed by a Drunk Driver in 2013. Disturded was coming to the venue where our son was killed. In 2016 I reached out to #Disturded & their management to dedicate this song to our son on #Montage Mountain #Scranton, PA. I wanted to hear his name said on that venue. God bless them they honored him. I will forever be grateful to them 🙏 🙏🙏 Their live version is on TH-cam. It was hard to pass the area where he was killed but I did it for Michael. 😢💔😢
@Court It feels that way so many times but I know my son wouldn't have wanted that for me. It's a fight every single day. 😢😢😢 God bless you my dear friend ❤️
The video is about the death of modern music. Computers have replaced people, the same four chords are used in almost every song, and there is no complexity at all. Yet the people need the communication that music can provide. So, the video starts off with the broken and abandoned instruments and complete silence. Then, gradually as David sets the stage with his powerful voice, the video shows the band members picking up instruments and carrying them to the shore... the gulf between real music and communication and the people. The people who have music scores in their hands awaiting the arrival of the musicians. It ties the message in the song, which you two seem oblivious to, to the visual representation of the music theme. I fear that you two spent too much time "hearing without listening." Maybe try it again without trying to be snarky.
Actually the original song was about the explosion of television from the 3 major US Networks to 12 Cable channels and the subsequent obsession with just watching TV (the NEON GOD) and ignoring the people around you. In today’s context that could be Social Media where people derive their worth and value from the number of “Likes” they receive, and like the early 60’s are obsessed with technology and don’t actually talk with people?
Patrzę na was z dużym niesmakiem - do czego jest zdolny człowiek, żeby się publicznie tak ośmieszyć !!!!! Żadnej wiedzy , brak zrozumienia i brak wrażliwości - miernoty !!!
I actually love this version. Love the original too but I think the vocals are really powerful in this and the dark, depressing vibes are right up my street
I saw another video of this, and someone said that the Simon and Garfunkel version made you think, while this one makes you feel. I couldn't agree more that.
I've learned that David Draiman and Disturbed address depression, addiction and suicide during every concert, performance offering support and understanding. They are one of the most popular, loved bands of our time! ❤❤❤😊
Oddly enough, this cover is indirectly responsible for me discovering your channel! This was the song I heard when casually browsing on Facebook, and it hit me so hard I wanted to listen to it over and over, so I searched for it on TH-cam. In doing so, I also discovered music reaction channels, so I went down that rabbit hole, searching for reactions to this song. That eventually led me to Elizabeth Zharoff's channel ("The Charismatic Voice"), and I liked her reaction style so much, I wanted to see what else she had reacted to. Around that same time, the YT algorithm was also filling my sidebar suggestions with this young Kazakh kid named Dimash something. I watched Elizabeth's reaction videos to his music and fell totally in love. (I know you can relate! 😄) Then I wanted to see what others had to say about Dimash, and that eventually led me to your channel. But I might never have started down that road of music reaction video channel exploration if I hadn't seen this video about a year ago and had a sense of wonder at music's power to evoke emotions reawakened.
Have listened to this song for a while now, but this is the first time i'm seeing the video. It is a beautiful video and this song takes covers to a completely different level. This is a painfully beautiful interpretation and i love it!
WHAT?! No, I NEVER got Tenacious D vibes. I got Disturbed vibes. Nothing at all wrong with Tenacious D but that NEVER occurred to me listening to this. Wow, man. Out of their wheel-house anyway. But yes, I believe this MIGHT be their highest-viewed video. That's a shame because they are an AMAZING band! They deserve much better!
@@alice1913 I don't know about unprofessional. He was just stating what he got from it. But we are SUPPOSED to be different people, so it is fine by me that he has a completely different view than mine. We are not from cookie-cutters or boxes. :)
First thumbs down on a reaction to this band and song... He sounds NOTHING as Jack Black (as I also loves) David is a classical trained singer and he's range is unbelievable. And there is so few artist that you can feel emotionally and belive that's he means every words he sings. Mr Draimam never ever sings a song that he doesn't care about. He truly is fully engaged in all of his songs. And the band is always talks about suicidal awareness, and promote suicidal hotlines to every country they visit. And of course donate a s**tload of money to thar couse. But even if this song isn't about there couse, it's have a powerful message, that Simon and Garfunkel warned us about. This is the final call of that we losing our humanity. For more information, watch: Bo Burnham's "Welcome to the internet"
I think you should rewatch this and see how you paused and made inconsequential commentary every time there was a change of intensity. You completely lost the connective emotional tissue of this version of this song. You make yourself sound unintelligent. This version is powerful in its escalation to a sudden collapse
Um, I feel that reaction videos may not be your thing guys. People get enough of the bemused condescension vibe from political propagandists and it's really just out of place in reviewing a masterpiece like this.
First time on your channel. As a fellow musician I was kind of thinking you might have more to comment on the story within the video. A couple of suggestions, the live version on Conan is great and you would like it a lot. But if you want to be different from all of the countless others who have already reacted to it there is another live version that is also great. You should check out Disturbed in Houston featuring Myles Kennedy. Additionally, if you want to check out other Disturbed songs you will get tons of requests for Down With the Sickness. You should postpone that until you've heard some of their other music. I recommend Indestructible, Immortalized, Are You Ready, The Light, Stricken... or any of like 8 or so other covers they've done which are awesome. Disturbed is an amazing band and extremely talented.
Your reaction and response to Disturbed's cover of 'The Sound of Silence' was absolutely terrible. You didn't get it at all. You two weren't really paying attention to it at all. You two were making jokes and really down playing Disturbed, the performance, and the music video. That is really messed up. You two are supposedly musicians... really.
Disturbed has sold over 17 million records worldwide, making them one of the most successful rock bands in the modern era right next to Slipknot. There is a fine line between a "reaction" and a "critique". You tip-toed it, he crossed, it. Neither of you are qualified to do the latter, try hard to stick to the former. Good luck to you
You guys need to watch this video again and realize the meaning of it along with the words. The girl actually seems to be enjoying it while the dude just wants to goof on it.
If you were to listen to Simon & Garfunkel, their song was a protest of what society had become. I grew up in that era. And their song was perfect for what their message was. This version by Disturbed is taking the original protest into consideration. And the emotions of the words and the music are about the rage that nothing was done about what the protest was about. The music video showed the chasm between the words being written on one side and the music on the other. The boat at the end was the music / instruments being transported across the water to where the words were to finally bring everything together. And no, it wasn’t a ‘River of death’. I didn’t get any indication that either of you understood the story, the emotions. That’s too bad because you’re missing the entire message.
Upon hearing this cover, Paul Simon, himself, said that this was the best cover of his song that he had ever heard, and actually linked this video in his personal social media. It does not hurt that David Draiman was a traditionally trained Jewish cantor before he set off to conquer the world of heavy metal music.
This song is all about the great awakening. The first, third and fifth verse is written in the perspective of the unawakened and the second and fourth verse is written in the perspective of the awakened.
Disappointing reaction, you wouldn't interrupt a singer performing live, yet you kept randomly pausing in mid lyric, so the dramatic tension of the performance was ruined.
When I first heard this cover. I just listened to "Legion of Monster" right before. So I was expecting like a rock version. But this was infinitely better than I could've imagined.
Worst reaction too The Sound Of Silence I have ever heard regardless of it being S&G original, Disturbed or Pentatonix. You two are clueless to one of the best songs ever written.
In agreement with most of the comments here, you two seem totally unable to understand why the arrangement was done as it was. And how can you stop a song 20 seconds from the end to make a frivolous nonsense comment. Maybe you should watch others reviewing songs to see how they actually approach their task. You kept saying it - over 700 MILLION views. and you managed to add absolutely nothing to the debate.
This song has so many different meanings... When schools, especially public schools from kindergarten through high school, run out of funding, the first programs they cut ✂️ are the art's, music, theater, etc. Also, ISOLATION, DIVISION, LONELINESS, NOT COMMUNICATING, NOT STANDING UP FOR OUR RIGHTS OR EXPRESSING OURSELVES AND WHAT WE BELIEVE IN. We no longer interact face to face with each other but through technology, social media on our cell phones and computers. I could go on and on. 😢
you can't really appreciate this, or critique it when you stop it every minute. That dudes comments were really annoying, and off the mark. I think this reactor dude is afraid of letting emotion get to him. When David Draiman really shifts vocally, it brings chills to ones body. This guy recognized it, you could see it in his eyes, but then he didn't really know how to respond emotionally.

Sorry but I couldn't even watch the rest of this video. I don't know why I was feeling personally attacked almost with your flippant attitude towards this mind blowing display of vocals. David is a professionally trained cantor and an amazing human being. David =TD???!!! Give your head a shake. This is quite possibly one of the greatest and most important covers in the history of music. Period. You both couldn't have looked more bored and distracted. I hope you give your own music more energy and attention than you put into reviewing this epic video No wonder no one claps after your performance. This....this right here should be a huge learning curve for you both as you move forward on your own path. I suppose the next thing you're going to say is that Freddy Mercury was mediocre?
Omg this was the first and last time I watch any of your vids. What a horrible experience. Are you 2 even awake or just living in a dream of sorts. Awaken you fools.
2 things. 1) Melissa Cross is David Draiman's vocal coach, who is WORLD famous for teaching DOZENS of rock bands and lead singers to perfect their singing their vocal techniques. 2) If you like that version, look it up on TH-cam when they play it live on Conan O'Brien. It is AWESOME !!!
No thanks. Music teachers??? Can't believe you stopped this right at the height of the emotion of the song. Don't understand how emotionless u both were. Very strange
He is classically trained and is a Cantor as well. This was out of their comfort zone. NOT a river of death but that boat crosses the divide where on one side is people who haven't heard and they are telling them TO HEAR . This is hope because the sound of Silence is crossed over. This is the best version ever and I was a teenager in the 60' s . Simon and Garfunkel told us what was wrong back then and now they warn us that what the prophets wrote on the walls is for us to wake up from the neon gods we have followed!!
A song that ROCKS during these hard times their cover of "if I ever lose My Faith in you" sending luv and positivity to y'all PS " A reason to Fight" live
This has got to be the worst reaction by so-called musicians to a powerful and brilliant rendition of a classic song from S & G, your lame comments are completely forgettable.
I'm not sure what kind of musicians you are, but you completely missed the ball on this one. I think this song was a little too mature and meaningful for you to react to. Maybe Baby Shark would be more your level.
People talking without speaking, people hearing without listening, people writing songs that voices never shared. I think this is what David wanted to say, so we could hear what the song is about, and understand the warning. Listen to the story.
Well, considering that Disturbed recorded their version first, in December 2015, and Pentatonix recorded their version of 'this' version in February 2019, I think you have it the other way round. Pentatonix didn't even vary their version much from this one.
What are you talking about. This song IS about the world we are living in NOW. He didn't bring you into it, you are already there. You apparently aren't knowledgeable enough to be trying to react to this. The original one was during the racist problems and Viet Nam which was done in a whimsical way and even Paul Simon has said that the song has now been done in the way it should have been done to fit the lyrics. Simon also said that Disturbed now owns this song and even put a link on his page to Disturbed's version. This song is about the loss of communication between people that is destroying our world. And the distortion is showing anger in what is happening in our world. BTW...you apparently don't know their comfort zone. Try watching "Hold on to Memories, the official video or the song that they are advocating the prevention of of drug abuse, depression and suicide at every concert. "A Reason to Fight, the official video that is saving lives. They aren't a band to take lightly.
Simon and Garfunkle's version of this song, was a "silent" type of warning to society. Disturbed's version is telling us its too late. You just didn't get what THIS version was trying to say. The buildup and changes in David Draimans voice was for the dramatic effect to make you really listen to the words and hear them.
Eh...before you hate on that "Creed song". it actually hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 which is the standard record chart for ALL songs. So, yeah, it kinda was big and did work. I enjoyed the vid, but like most things in the modern world that drive people apart...misinformation sucks.
If you look at what is happening in the world today this very song was a warning, and then David got a hold of it and now you feel it, we all need to stop the silence and come together.
It surprises me that no one who reacts to this has observed that a protest song from the 60's has been transported to the 21st century. and it's more relevant. and angrier.
Yeah, so...if either of you had ever played sports, we call this a "whiff". You had the chance to comment on a rendition that was great, and you decided to sit there and look at each other and make comments that are even less enjoyable than watching this video.
This song offered comfort of a sort to a lovely guy I knew, during the years he spent dying. I think a part of that was the diction. Some of the emotional parts can be heard as "passionately atheist", and he was a pretty keen atheist, so that would've helped, too. I wasn't all that interested in the cover before ("it was OK"), but I've learned how to hear it since those days. I suppose for anyone avoiding metal for its aggressive side, it's natural never to come across the other side of metal (right from the very beginning) - the ballads? Although since Metallica's ballads became popular, maybe it's just forgetfulness? It's pretty much a tradition that a metal album must have at least one more gentle, more melancholy song on it. (Might be an idea to go looking for those to find out whether there's some joy in listening to that part of the genre, actually. The joy you get crying at a sad movie, I mean. :-) ) I could offer something different (not big enough to use for a reaction video, but musically perhaps at least interesting) it's by Welsh rock band, *Budgie* , and if you have the patience it ranges over a very wide range of tempos, moods, and even music styles. (And the rock aspect is more "energetic" than aggressive, too. Although with these things, the bark is always less than the bite. The most peace-loving, gentle people on Earth are often metal-heads; and the most vicious, downright mean ones generally groove to something much, much more slick and smooth and slithery than this, too.) Anyway theory-of-everything-blah-blah ... Here's *Breadfan* th-cam.com/video/54H3EUAzpVg/w-d-xo.html ("Bread" was a 60's term for money - as in "daily bread" I suppose - that is probably forgotten by now?)

Stop you're Chanel and get another job
I’m surprised that as musicians, you seem to have so little appreciation for one of the greatest voices in musical history.
Well, and little appreciation for one of the best songs, too.
Could not agree more. They missed it totally. Almost sounded immature! I teach 8th graders, and they connected with the song more than these, "musicians." Ugh
Tenacious D?? Jesus, just killed the mood
Erm are those two really musicians? I thought that to be a musician you had to have a soul
This song/performance went completely over their heads. The entire point of the building of the vocals and instruments with each verse...I don't need to explain it. The responses to this reaction video speak for themselves, and I appreciate that there are still critical listeners of music like this.
This proves that anyone can make a website and start producing TH-cam videos. It also show that anyone can call themselves musicians.
Well now we know why you're so familiar with silence at your show. If you perform as badly as you did this reaction, you'll continue to be familiar with silence. And you'll deserve it.
Indeed
Agreed. I found their response to be childish.
They're young.
Exactly! This is this worst reaction to this amazing performance so far. I wish now that I had not watched it.
@@nancymerrillsayed7585 That's no excuse to be this awful. They're not THAT young...
Congradulations you are first people who have not been blown away by this, every musician, composer, music teachers , proffessional singers have been awed by this. I just wonder what trips your trigger?🤔
With a reaction like this from these two buffoons I have no desire to know what trips your trigger. Ridiculous reaction.
Same here. They are so shallow.
It's time to find a different job. Terrible reaction, you seem totally clueless.
And I heard this about the original song, didn't understand it, but sounds smart as heck, so I'll just gonna throw it in here."
"He sounds like this Tenecious D.-dude, hehe he hehe."
This was a throwback to 90s MTV.
Everyone can’t help themselves from stopping the song with 15 seconds left.
Musicians ? Really ?
To compare this brilliance to tenacious D, Is the epitome of music ignorance.
Glad I read the comments before wasting any time watching this LOL
Holly hell!!! Do you even listen to rock?? Or have you been living under a rock???
It's a masterpiece, I get goosebumps every time I hear it
My god you missed the mark on this one.
Damn u just ripped away most ppl with that comment lol I like it 👌
@@craighaight7291 What a stupid comment Craig
Yes! And the part about the neon god seems to apply to these two so-called musicians. Ugh.
The live version, especially the version on Conan is excellent
It was impressive.
Apart from David being ill and they automated 1 part which they where fuming with.
this couple are a joke
I completely agree! I actually found that one first and it was so much more powerful to me. I have to admit I'm biased because I am a Disturbed fan.💕
Yes.. Exactly
You're trying to be kind, but it wasn't a 'great' reaction, it was terrible and very disrespectful.
God bless you! Your post is beautiful! Sorry you lost your son! I would lose my mind if my son died! ❤️❤️
@Court It feels that way so many times but I know my son wouldn't have wanted that for me. It's a fight every single day. 😢😢😢 God bless you my dear friend ❤️
wow, what you said just choked me up. I'm so sorry for your loss. That's a huge hurt. Huge hole in the heart.
My heart goes out to you
@@johnmarengo3988Thank you for your kindness. God bless you always 💜
Loving the comments here, these two are horrible, Disturbed did an epic job on this song!
You nailed it. Hearing without listening, and they were talking without anything to say. They need to try again, thus time with a little humility.
Żadnej wiedzy , brak zrozumienia i brak wrażliwości - miernoty !!!
regret clicking on this video after you compared Disturbed's Sounds on Silence to TD.
It’s rumored Paul Simon had said “My version of the song was the pleading warning, Disturbed’s version was the Anger the warning went unheeded”
This is the most brain-dead take on this song I have seen. Congrats.
I actually love this version. Love the original too but I think the vocals are really powerful in this and the dark, depressing vibes are right up my street
Two different meanings really
The words are for then, what was going on in the world. Same thing now...words of truth.
Stopping at the oddest time... don't do that
I saw another video of this, and someone said that the Simon and Garfunkel version made you think, while this one makes you feel. I couldn't agree more that.
I've learned that David Draiman and Disturbed address depression, addiction and suicide during every concert, performance offering support and understanding. They are one of the most popular, loved bands of our time! ❤❤❤😊
Probably the most vacuous review of this rendition I’ve seen.
But I might never have started down that road of music reaction video channel exploration if I hadn't seen this video about a year ago and had a sense of wonder at music's power to evoke emotions reawakened.
awh thanks for sharing!
very similar to my path here. Elizabeth's channel is my absolute favorite! She has a musical vocabulary that expresses what I've always wanted to!
yup ... the only one with TD vibes, which seems to indicate the lyrics were lost on you.
Best way is to watch and listen to the music video then do your remarks, instead of STOP start talk blah blah
Absolutely ! Think it's a little insulting, also think that maybe a little professional jealousy.l jealous
@@alice1913 I don't know about unprofessional. He was just stating what he got from it. But we are SUPPOSED to be different people, so it is fine by me that he has a completely different view than mine. We are not from cookie-cutters or boxes. :)
I'm as horrified as you are at this inane reaction.
First thumbs down on a reaction to this band and song... He sounds NOTHING as Jack Black (as I also loves)
David is a classical trained singer and he's range is unbelievable.
For more information, watch:
Bo Burnham's "Welcome to the internet"
These two prats wittering on and on ruined this completely for me.Thanks a lot.
David was also a Jewish Cantor. Classically trained..
If you thought the strings elevated this version, you absolutely should watch the Conan O'Brien live version. It's ... devastating.
I think you should rewatch this and see how you paused and made inconsequential commentary every time there was a change of intensity. You completely lost the connective emotional tissue of this version of this song.
You make yourself sound unintelligent.
This version is powerful in its escalation to a sudden collapse
they've heard this version before, id bet 5$ this isnt a first reaction
Um, I feel that reaction videos may not be your thing guys. People get enough of the bemused condescension vibe from political propagandists and it's really just out of place in reviewing a masterpiece like this.
"People hearing without listening"....for sure.
You sir really need to let the recording play before you say anything.
I shall not be picking up on anything you do.
I can't stand to listen to this guy talk I have to fast forward to get back to the music.
It does not hurt that David Draiman was a traditionally trained Jewish cantor before he set off to conquer the world of heavy metal music.
are you guys really "musicians"? Cause this went straight over the top of your head.

I can’t agree more with you. I felt exactly the same.
How you gonna put “so emotional” in the thumbnail and then show absolutely no emotion
How can someone so shallow be so condescending? Last review of yours.
Hello from Russia 👉🇷🇺♥️! ..a huge iceberg the size of Alaska broke away from the mainland when he hit the first note...!💪👋
You haven't a clue about old school music... and if anyone is lame, it would be you two talking about music as if you have surpassed anyone.
A song that ROCKS during these hard times their cover of "if I ever lose My Faith in you" sending luv and positivity to y'all PS " A reason to Fight" live
If you get a chance, you must watch the live version on Conan. It is next level, truly amazing.
The meaning and emotion of the song was too advanced for them. They sound bitter and demeaning.
Ducker….. dissin my Disturbed! They’re genius!
Yes. You are the only one who gets Tenacious D vibes.
You're reaction was completely dry my guys. If this is the energy you bring to the table, then get comfortable with the sound of silence.
Well, considering that Disturbed recorded their version first, in December 2015, and Pentatonix recorded their version of 'this' version in February 2019, I think you have it the other way round. Pentatonix didn't even vary their version much from this one.
"Simon and Garfunkel song has become a meme".. oh dear god.. had to stop at this part lol...
This is a meme right? These 2 are musicians? God help us.
"Heavy Metal singers can't actually sing," some people say... David Draiman of Disturbed: "Here, Hold my OH! WHA! AH! AH! AH!"
If you look at what is happening in the world today this very song was a warning, and then David got a hold of it and now you feel it, we all need to stop the silence and come together.
David Draiman has the most underrated voice ever.
It surprises me that no one who reacts to this has observed that a protest song from the 60's has been transported to the 21st century. and it's more relevant. and angrier.
Simply the best recording of a song of all time and the video was brilliant. The vocals are amazing
You both seem to be completely unaffected. 😵
Sorry….her laughing and making fun of the video, him smiling all through…every other reaction was crying and getting goosebumps. Not impressed
Yeah, so...if either of you had ever played sports, we call this a "whiff". You had the chance to comment on a rendition that was great, and you decided to sit there and look at each other and make comments that are even less enjoyable than watching this video.
"What do you want us to react to next?" ...uhm, nothing.
I could offer something different (not big enough to use for a reaction video, but musically perhaps at least interesting) it's by Welsh rock band, *Budgie* , and if you have the patience it ranges over a very wide range of tempos, moods, and even music styles. (And the rock aspect is more "energetic" than aggressive, too. Although with these things, the bark is always less than the bite. The most peace-loving, gentle people on Earth are often metal-heads; and the most vicious, downright mean ones generally groove to something much, much more slick and smooth and slithery than this, too.)
Anyway theory-of-everything-blah-blah ... Here's *Breadfan* th-cam.com/video/54H3EUAzpVg/w-d-xo.html
("Bread" was a 60's term for money - as in "daily bread" I suppose - that is probably forgotten by now?)
