I saw Disturbed in concert a few months ago. This is more powerful in person. They put on a terrific show. The arena got hot from the pyrotechnics but all was worth it.
This is by far the best remake of a song I have ever heard. The imagery and delivery by David Draiman make this one of the most impactful songs ever. {IMO}
It really was a great experience listening the sound of silence in a different version from the original and for it to be atleast as good as the original, that is seldom the case, and i really enjoyed the video in the background,felt apocalyptic
Their singer David is classically trained as a cantor in the Jewish faith. But that was many years ago. He said it was gratifying to sing like he did when he was younger.
Your facial reactions say it all !!! This is an amazing cover of a brilliant song, 1st done by Simon & Garfunkel warning us, if we don't change our ways we are headed for destruction, and Disturbs version is angry, because we didn’t listen to the warnings... 😌 I always feel this song is like an emotional rollercoaster ride, slowly bringing us to the top, then quickly crashing to the bottom.....Great reaction!!!
I subscribed to your channel because I saw the same emotion in your face that I feel when I hear the songs you are reacting to. Music that brings souls together through art and emotion. I also really enjoy your Dimash reactions. Much love from Canada 🇨🇦
Paul Simon The Singer/Songwriter of The Sound of Silence Heard David's version and Liked it so much that He put it on his Playlist. This Song By David came out in Late 2015. He sang it Live On the Conan O'Brien Show in March 2016. Check That one out! By the way, I liked and Subscribed. 😊
I could see in your expressions as the song was touching your soul, the exact same reaction i had. I couldnt speak after and had to sit alone and process what just happened lol. Thank you for your great reaction! May i please suggest another by Disturbed called The Light? I love what he does with his voice in it also
oh boy. You should see the live version on Conan. And then if you want to become even more confused about someone's vocal range, look up "16 Tons" covered by Geoff Castellucci. Have fun.
Not sure what your taste in music is, but some of Disturbed’s songs are kind of like this one. Hold on to Memories and A Reason to Fight are two that non-rock fans would probably like. A louder song that I would introduce to new Disturbed listeners is The Light. I wouldn’t go straight to Down With The Sickness unless you like hard rock and metal - ease into that one.
The first time I heard this remake, I cried like a baby..I've always loved Disturbed and David recreated an older masterpiece into a new one!
Thank you for your great reaction. Yes indeed, what a voice. I recommend you listen to The Light. Luv from Australia ❤️🎼❤️🎼❤️

The Original was "The Warning"...this version is the anger for not listening to the Warning.

He is a natural baritone, but yes he can go lower, and clearly can manage a respectable tenor range as well
Please please react or just listen to “ hi ren” it blew my mind as a artist. It describes the internal struggle perfectly

He was trained as a Cantor
