  • New for 2021 Suzuki's legendary Hayabusa is back with more advanced rider aids than before, and much improved handling, including new Brembo brakes. Can it match the original? Has the 'Busa had its day? Time to find out as Chad brings you an exclusive full review including high speed runs.

    Why is everyone comparing the Hayabusa to the Gixxer or other sportbikes??
    They are totally different
    The Hayabusa is an all rounder.
    The Hayabusa is a road bike that can handle corners well (with an accomplished rider) and can tour if setup with ease. Getting off these bikes after a days riding isn’t too bad. Try that with a sportsbike?
    The Hayabusa is for
    pillioning with comfort for sustained high speed riding.
    Sportsbikes’s are nothing of the above. Get it? You guys have no excuse not knowing what this bike is for. Surely Suzuki would give you the heads up what it’s market target is? If not you should ask. And then ask people that have OWNED these bikes (and actually know) for years and years doing countless mileage with and without pillions...
    So frustrating listening to modern day thinking riders that really don’t know what they are talking about.
    By the way there is nothing wrong with any brake systems on any of the generation Hayabusa bikes. All are designed for a one stop emergency application as they are a road bike, and will do that job very well regardless of whether they are Tokico, Brembo or whatever. Again this bike and it’s brakes are not designed for racing or repetitive use like sportbikes- so stop comparing them! As a footnote on this subject... years ago I had a Gixxer K7 750 with Tokico brakes which were totally rebuilt and working at 100% with brake fluid changed for every race. This bike with its standard brakes often outbraked other bikes with Brembo brakes. Does this mean the Brembo shod bikes were no good? I’m sure I make my point. Before reviewing any bike do your homework and stop giving misleading information. You can gather I am very passionate. I am not talking out of my backside. I have had countless sportbikes through my life, owned three Hayabusa’s and currently own a Gen II. I raced road race in my younger day and dirt track when I was growing up. I certainly don’t know everything but a balanced look and proper review is in order for the guy out there that needs CORRECT information.

    I want to see a direct comparison gen 2 vs Gen 3 w an aftermarket exhaust on each to see how much difference between them. Also put them both on a road course to see how they do .

    So from the sound of it they kept the spirit of the Busa because he is right they could have supercharged that and still pass emissions for at least a few years. I know the 1000s are supposed to be faster know when he was ripping it wide open throttle that needle was moving so fast it wasn't even funny.

    What would be a good prerequisite beginner bike, with the Hayabusa being the bike one really wants?

    • @Chad76Media
      @Chad76Media  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Phil, obviously there aren't really any beginner bikes quite like the Hayabusa, but if that's ultimately where you want to end up, then a sporty beginner bike would be a good option. If you're starting on a 125cc machine, that would mean something like the Yamaha R-125. From there you have bikes like the new KTM RC390, Aprilia RS660 and so on.

    No way the fastest production motorcycle anymore. Beaten by dozens of other bikes up to 150mph, most 1000s and even some 850s. Over that who cares unless you've got an autobahn handy.

  • @Jandejongjong
    @Jandejongjong ปีที่แล้ว

    There is no faster bike from 0-170mph.
