Improve Your Neck Posture and Reduce Neck Pain with These Simple Exercises
Improve Your Neck Posture and Reduce Neck Pain with These Simple Exercises
Forward head posture, also known as "text neck," occurs when the head is positioned forward and down, causing the neck to bend unnaturally.
This can lead to a loss of the normal cervical curve, which is the natural curve of the neck that helps to distribute weight and reduce stress on the spine.
A loss of cervical curve can lead to a number of problems, including neck pain, headaches, and upper back pain. It can also contribute to poor posture, which can make a person appear slouched or hunched over.
This condition is becoming increasingly common, as more and more people spend long hours looking at screens and engaging in other activities that involve forward head posture.
The best way to correct forward head posture and restore the cervical curve is through regular exercise, including stretches and exercises that target the neck, shoulders, and upper back.
It's also important to be mindful of your posture throughout the day and to take regular breaks to stretch and move around.

    Very helpful. Thank you! I’ve had a lifetime of regular migraines which were greatly reduced when I learned my food sensitivities- almonds and egg whites. But I got an oculur migraine from Fabulosa’s overwhelming scent where i had no pain but I lost most of my vision for an hour or so. I took my migraine medicine, rizotriptan, and it went away.

    I've had about 5 of what I've been told are silent migraines in the past 7 or 8 years. They begin with a tiny, bright point of light in my peripheral vision. Usually on the right side. The point grows and evolves into a sort of jagged, circular shape with kaleidoscope type colors. No headache at this point. It's takes about 20-30 minutes for it to disappear. At that point, I begin to feel as though I'm hung over. Dull headache, a little queasy, tired and a bit out of it. That can last a day or two. There's no trigger as far as I can tell.

    sir, thanks for this wonderful video. Question. I had severe left hip arthritis and because of that unconsciously i developed lateral shift to avoid the pain. My entire focus was on the incoming hip replacement surgery. Thus, after "blinking" I developed a lateral shift of 15 degrees. Only recently I discovered the MacKenzie method. How many months of using this method many times daily can I get back to normal if ever, in your experience? Thank you

    • @ChiroCarl
      @ChiroCarl 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi Michael, It is difficult to say. If you needed a hip replacement then you were literally shifting for a long time. Now the surgery is done, the more you work on your recovery the better you'll be. I advise all of my patients to work on doing more rehab than is given, within the tolerances of pain. Ultimately your brain doesn't know that you had a hip replaced, it knows you had a surgery, which is essentially just another trauma to adapt to. Teach your brain through rehab to move better. Don't focus on pain and discomfort. Focus on what you can aheive within those restrictions and try to improve week by week. If I were you, I'd be working on mckenzie method rehab every day, twice a day, for 6 months to a year. Along side your other exercises to strengthen and stretch the tissues. Also increase your fitness - walking/bike etc

    I have found what helps my ocular migraines is to close my eyes and be still and quiet until I can no longer see the flashing lights (I know that sounds weird). It can be very inconvenient when I get one of these migraines when I’m out shopping. I have to get to my car so I can close my eyes. Typically, I will tip the seat back and just lay there until it goes away. I have to do that because if I’m out and about, I certainly can’t drive. But this was a good video, thank you so much for posting!

    Unfortunately, I started having this last year. It was a nightmare for me because I had dizziness along with zigzag vision and some aura. I did several medical exams in different hospitals and nothing was discovered. Today, the symptoms have diminished. Sometimes I still have aura vision. I have been trying to eat better and I have not yet identified my trigger, but everything indicates that certain foods such as broccoli and chocolate in excess may be my trigger. The curious thing is that I had never heard of this in my life. I found out about it here on the internet because until then, no exam had declared that this was my case.

    Had a avulsion on the bone which is connected to the acl in my knee. Luckily acl was not torn but the bone was fractured the surgeon said when they did the surgery everything was fine so they cleaned up and stitched it back up. I had the surgery done 1 month after the football injury. Now 2 weeks following the surgery I can walk but my knee wouldn’t straighten fully so I have a limp. I can’t match the hyperextension with the uninjured leg. It like it’s stuck to a certain level I don’t know if this is normal but I am trying extension excersies and seem like the knee just wouldn’t hyperextend if it did I would be able to walk properly. On the other hand the Bend on my knee is coming back slowly even without excerising it. It’s way past 90 degree now. Do you have any suggestions if this is normal or not.
