Discussion of often obscure or antique firearms, but I do modern stuff when and as I can. Covering new and old from Sig, S&W, Colt, Glock, CZ and many other firearms brands. The primary focus has been on pistols, though I am moving into rifles and shotguns as well as time goes by. Firearm overviews, Firearms reviews, custom firearms, home-made firearms. I am a man of many and varied interests in the pursuit of my firearm hobbies!

Trying another video, though YTs dishonest and hostile actions still have me deeply in doubt about the prospects for it lasting. Please follow me on Playeur.com. It's free and the platform is not actively hostile to gun content. They also have integrity, notably lacking in the way this platform is operated.

Important Information on the Future of this Channel
มุมมอง 1.3Kหลายเดือนก่อน
This channel is in serious jeopardy. With over 100 videos removed for entirely spurious reasons in the last week I doubt I have much of a future on this platform. I will be posting content on Playeur.com (playeur.com/c/TinkerTalksGuns) as my main platform going forward. I'll continue to also post videos on You Tube for as long as they let me but I hope you will follow me to the new venue.

Single shot 410 Conversion to .22 Hornet
มุมมอง 37K10 หลายเดือนก่อน
People keep handing me ancient single-shot shotguns to do 'interesting things with, and it happened again last week with a bent-barrel .410. Add that to a 10/22 barrel awaiting a project and a friend's comment that he had a .22 Hornet changer reamer and the result was, if not inevitable, a pretty good bet. Tinker, does the magazine follower look oversize? I'm just wondering because the 9mm has the same capacity as the .45. I believe all the dimensions are the same. I wonder if capacity is being reduced through use of a larger than necessary follower.
I'm not sure; I don't own this gun so I can't look.
I own both, stock I prefer the P07. The 01 is at the Cajun shop now for their pro package and I have a set of lok grips waiting to install. I really enjoy shooting both. The P01 may soon be my favorite of the two.
When a 2011 wants to dress up as a Steyr Hahn
Nice! Now do a video on that Spikey Club you have on your rack.
That's a war club from Fiji. A friend of mine used to run a dive shop there and brought it back for me.
This looks like the ultimate IDPA gamer gun!
Is this a gen 3 kit? Want to know which one works with PSA dagger frame
This is mounted on a PSDA Dagger , so gen 1-3 for certain.
Looks very Robo Cop as it is. But of course, needs the final refinements. I'd do salt blueing. Not enough of that left in the world. Love to see how you do that.
Sadly I don't have the ability to do salt blueing.
Have you noticed any loss of accuracy with the large port. For IPSC, I have ported barrels but with about a 3/16" holes.
I can't say I have. If there is any loss of accuracy I can't tell.
Very nice!
Nice project!👍🏽😊❤️🇺🇸
Awesome job. Looks great.
Nice work! Beefy is beautiful. 👍👍
Another great video, think you would ever play around with the 960 rowland???
460 you mean? It could happen.
@@tinkertalksguns7289 rowland makes the 460 rowland and a 960 for 9mm pistols, there is little to none on it on youtube but supposed to be close to 357mag in a auto.
Thanks for the video 👍 This project is coming together nicely.
Nice job
There was also the semi Fitz treatment, thinning the width of the trigger guard on the right side, to supposedly speed access to the trigger.
Big Chungus !!!! Suh-weet 👍
I like it
That thing is sexy as hell.
Its big enough to slap an American flag on the side of it. ;)
Maybe a 38 super barrel for interchangeable fun?
Love the slick profile on that thing. Truly a work of art!
Howdy pardner! Good to see you again.
Is this a reference to Victor in Fallout NV?
🌿🥇🌿FIRST
Great test! My thoughts: Fmj after 4 layers of denim travels about 16-17" in gel out of a mouse gun. While the disruption on the defender ammo is more impressive, im not sure that it is worth the trade for a tomcat sized gun as additional penetrative force may be required to reach vitals and over penetration is less of a concern on shorter barrels.
An entirely valid perspective.
Would love to get my functional again. These things are really cool
I've been eyeing a few listings of these .38 S&W revolver Antiques lately, might be a New Year present to myself. Anyone got any insight, or bragging rights?
Always love your stuff 👍
I own two. I like them, but: • Hammer bite is a reality • Reliably is not good enough to bet your life on. It could be if you could find the right gunsmith.
Ever shot these rounds suppressed?
No, I don't have any suppressors.
Congrats on another successful project!
I'm glad to see you back to posting here. If YT actually used human beings they might be able to distinguish the useful firearms channels from the ones used for political purposes.
Can you shoot +P ammo out of the model 80?
I wouldn't shoot very much of it if you do; it would probably be better to not.
I like it... very cool
Irregardless if you carry a high capacity pistol or a six shot revolver, you need to practice. Too many people rely on the fact that they have this infinite number of bullets versus being able to hit a threat and not hit a bystander.
This, absolutely.
I have three of these one made in 1934 called a 22 special a precursor to the sportsman, I also have to unfired sportsman one made in 1973 and a beauty called one of 999 wood box and engraved totally cool guns, nice presentation regards
Excellent gun for sailing. Really good range and it has a lanyard loop. No way I would carry this cocked and locked. These can be improved by deleting the safety function and adding a single action style hammer spur. These guns are more suited for offense than defense in general.
Shocking results? Really? It simply illustrates that as much energy is lost at the cylinder gap of the revolver as is lost from a short barrel blow back action pistol... and that the bolt action rifle is the most efficient and usually accurate configuration for sending lead down range... so when .177 pellet rifles and BB guns are capable of killing humans, I don't see any logic in doubting the capabilities of the .222 short cartridge.... They're a great little round for sure.
I have one I need to fix up some. Family I got it from bought it new and used the heck out of it. Mine is 22 short.
Well done
I have one like this with the teardrop barrel. Mine has beautiful walnut palm swell grips. One of my favorite firearms I own. Spent 10+ yrs combing gun shows to find it !
I have the one with the folding trigger. How can i verify which ammo it takes?
Normally I would force a soft lead ball through the bore and measure the outside diameter of the high parts of the rifling. .320 would indicate maybe .32 Colt or .320 Revolver (basically the same cartridge.) .312 or so would indicate .32 S&W. .360 or so would be .38 S&W most likely and .375 would indicate .380 revolver/.38 Colt Short. I would have the gun examined by a gunsmith to insure it is mechanically sound, and if there is any doubt don't fire it. If the gun does not bear proof marks I would not fire it at all.
I found this video searching for 22WRF info, as I was ruminating on the brainfart that is the new 21 Sharp. Why on earth they would create that when Winchester already had a 22 rimfire cartridge design with a conventionally seated bullet? It seems the classic 22WRF would be better suited to their goal (lead free bullets) as there is more room in the case for slightly longer bullets. Maybe they did something boneheaded over the years like they sold the rights to the cartridge to Remington in 1973 or something LOL
I took out the dremel immediately and carved a thumb indent to reduce the hand grip width on the thumb side. It is NOW awesome. Easier grip, easier mag release and just more comfy. GREAT gun. $299
Very cool
I inherited one of these from my great great grandfather.
Hey, if those handle scales are the ones I made, looks like you chose one green (canvas micarta) and one black (denim, formerly stretch). They're recycled from shop pants & jeans, so it's parts-bin all the way down.
Nice!
Nice work.
You do some of the most beautiful and serviceable guns I have run across I think that your howdah pistol is probably the most asteticialy pleasing aspect of the walker colt I have ever seen I had a set of 1851s that I snubbied cut the barrels even with the loading lever housing and then custom birdsheaded both grips they were brass framed.44 piettas I plan on doing a couple more but I think a set of walkers or 3rd model dragoons are going to be first and I am glad to see that you managing to dodge the you tube overlords keep up the good work we appreciate it and you
This looks better than a flush barrel. Aesthetically this is peak Tinker. Perhaps tied only with the street racer that had that beautiful one piece gutter snipe front sight.
